In an op-ed piece for NBC News, Cheryl Cooky, professor of American studies and women’s, gender and sexuality studies at Purdue University, likened “Lia” Thomas (formerly Will) to Jackie Robinson. Nothing could be further from the truth. In fact, Prof. Cooky’s editorial is a slap in the face to female athletes and an insult to the legacy of Jackie Robinson, who courageously broke the color line in professional sports. Yet, according to Cooky, and with reference to Thomas’s blow-out victory in a national swimming competition last week, “For anyone who cares about the advancement of sports, and women's sports in particular, her win should be celebrated.”

Socialist takeovers always progress to the food shortage stage sooner or later. Remember reading in horror about how Venezuelans were gobbling up their zoo animals in an effort to remain alive? Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis wants his state’s high school students to be prepared to succeed in the world no matter what career path they choose to follow. And one requirement for success in a capitalist society like America is the ability to understand money.

British airlines, our own airline pilots, Republican lawmakers and anyone with common sense knows mask mandates on planes are worthless—so why do the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention refuse to “follow the science”?
Last week, the Transportation Security Administration became essentially the last holdout in extending a mask mandate on airplanes and in airports (along with other transportation hubs), as enforcement of the CDC transportation mask mandate. The Texas Public Policy Foundation has sued over that mandate, pointing out that it’s an unconstitutional power-grab, far beyond the powers granted to the CDC by Congress.

Gen. Mark Milley, the Pentagon swamp creature who brought us the Afghanistan pullout and turned the U.S. military focus to "white rage," doesn't seem to be able to get Russia's generals, now bombing Ukraine, to return his phone calls.
