One century, one decade and one year separate us from the birth of Ronald Reagan. With each passing day, especially in these troubling times, we are reminded of Reagan’s basic goodness and, yes, greatness. Derided by the Manhattan elites and the Georgetown Cocktail Set as a “simpleton,” Reagan’s genius was his ability to simplify the seemingly complex. “If you want less of something, tax it,” Reagan said, succinctly explaining the rationale for tax cuts. History recalls that the reduction of tax rates led to the expansion of economic opportunity during the Reagan era.

Not exactly in the beginning, there was a “big boom”… the baby boom. And that boom gave birth to “boomers,” who thought it was good. And it came to pass that boomers begat Generation X’ers, millennials and/or those of Generation Z… based on varying biological and chronological circumstances. The boomers looked and saw that their own generation — the “Me Generation” — spawned a reaction called “Me Too” years later. And many of the male boomers were shamed and confused. But many of the female boomers felt both enraged and empowered. And both mothers and daughters arose and said, “A woman’s place is in the House… and the Senate.”  CORRECTIONS*

Gen. Mark Milley, the Pentagon swamp creature who brought us the Afghanistan pullout and turned the U.S. military focus to "white rage," doesn't seem to be able to get Russia's generals, now bombing Ukraine, to return his phone calls. According to the Washington Post: Repeated attempts by the United States' top defense and military leaders to speak with their Russian counterparts have been rejected by Moscow for the last month, leaving the world's two largest nuclear powers in the dark about explanations for military movements and raising fears of a major miscalculation or battlefield accident.

During an interview with CBS News’ “Red and Blue” on Thursday, House Majority Whip Rep. James Clyburn (D-SC) stated that he believes President Joe Biden will do “some things on voting that may surprise some people,” and this will help boost his poll numbers. Clyburn said that the confirmation process for Supreme Court nominee Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson will help Biden’s poll numbers, “but it’s not the only thing that’s going to impact those numbers. I think the president’s numbers are going to start to go up. This will help. The things that he will be doing, going forward, I think he’s going to be doing some things on voting

Sen. Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.) said on Friday that he will vote for Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson’s Supreme Court nomination, making it ever more likely she’ll be confirmed to the court. If all 50 Democrats back Jackson, the party will not need any GOP votes to win her confirmation. Manchin was not expected to oppose her, but was seen as one of two possibly uncertain votes along with Sen. Kyrsten Sinema (Ariz.). “After meeting with her, considering her record, and closely monitoring her testimony and questioning before the Senate Judiciary Committee this week, I have determined I intend to vote for her nomination to serve on the Supreme  CORRECTIONS*

Joe Biden made his typical gaffe headline today in Poland. Biden said the US troops were going to Ukraine. He visited the troops at a mess hall. Notice there is no huge crowd waiting to shake this guy’s hand. (Tweet) Then he told a ridiculous story about his son using “Hunter” as a last name for some reason. What the hell? Look at these guys and their expressions! (Photo/Tweet/Video) Check out these guys. (Tweet)

The lack of self-awareness among the global elites is stunning. After Canadian Prime Minister Trudeau cracked down on protestors in his own country and sent his henchwoman, Finance Minister Chrystia Freeland, to freeze the assets of protesting truck drivers and their supporters, he traveled to Brussels to speak to the European Parliament. His theme was the threats to democracy posed by Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and the growing distrust of governments in the West in the face of economic uncertainty. (Snip) Speaking directly to Trudeau, he added, “Canada, once a symbol of the modern world, has become a symbol of civil rights violations under your quasi-liberal boot in recent months.

Another embarrassment on the world stage. Joe Biden on Friday arrived in Rzeszów, Poland which is about 80km from the Ukrainian border. Joe Biden visited US troops from 82nd Airborne and as expected, it was another awkward encounter. “Don’t jump! Don’t jump!” Biden shouted at the US service members before calling the Declaration of Independence “corny.” After trashing the Declaration of Independence, Joe Biden said “we’ve never lived up to it.” Way to go, Joe. DENVER — A 71-year-old Denver man is facing a felony charge after city officials say he made a pickleball court without permission. With prosecution on the table, some believe the punishment doesn't fit the crime. "The whole pickleball community is really saddened and shocked," said Jan Devor, a friend of 71-year-old Arslan Guney and fellow pickleball player. Guney and others use a basketball court at Denver's Central Park Recreation Center for pickleball. Last Monday, the markings on the court had faded, so Guney re-marked them with a Sharpie. Three days later, an arrest warrant for felony criminal mischief was issued for

On Wednesday, the Selective Service System (SSS) announced that “In the event of a draft, our agency would partner with @fema to provide opportunities to conscientious objectors to ensure our nation keeps moving forward.” The announcement rattled Americans, especially those of draftable age who do not want to go fight for a foreign country in which the United States doesn’t have a critical interest. [Tweet] Why on earth would the government agency responsible for registering young men for the draft start talking about non-combat opportunities for conscientious objectors “in the event of a draft,” unless they know something?

There are no words for the rage I feel towards subhumans. There is no comparable horror, pain, and agony I can contemplate as I imagine being in the place of the maimed and murdered Linda Frickey, a 73-tear-old white woman. She was tortured and killed by four vile black teenagers. Can you imagine the media’s outrage if the story were reversed, and an elderly black woman was accosted by four white teens? The George Floyd Riots would look like a hug.

Joe Biden went to Europe to make speeches during Europe's most serious crisis since World War II, but was mostly focused on his own re-election. That meant some pre-emptive shots at President Trump, who "lost" the election to him, based on various manipulations and cheatings, while Biden's polling approval has gone downhill ever since. But Joe was upbeat: According to CNBC: President Joe Biden said Thursday that he would consider himself “very fortunate” if former President Donald Trump runs against him for a second time in the 2024 election for the White House.
