Dsagreement with the "contemporary scientific consensus" on COVID-19 issues could be deemed "unprofessional conduct" for California doctors. Democratic Assemblyman Evan Low's AB 2098 "may" be the subject of a March 17 hearing in the Assembly Committee on Business and Professions, where it was referred last week, according to the legislative history.

So Californistan wud like to punish Dr. Ignaz Semmelweis. You know, the guy in 1846 reduced maternal mortality by simply washing his hands. Oh yeah, that was against the medical consensus at the time. Guess that nut job Pasturer would get punished since his germ theory was against medical consensus at the time. Advances in medicine don't come when all agree to an opinion. Advances come when someone questions opinion and experiments to find answers. But then, Galileo find out about that the hard way.

There is the agenda and anything that deviates from it is subversive if not downright criminal

Back in the day, before anesthetics, the mark of a good surgeon was how much blood he had on his smock. And I do remember when stomach ulcers were treated with acid reflux reducers. One dr, sorry don't remember his name, but he said most stomach ulcers were bacteria and could be cured with antibiotics. The dr groups laughed at him and said he was crazy. So he purposely gave himself an ulcer then took antibiotics and cured it. And that is why we now get antibiotics for stomach ulcers and not Pepto Bismol, Mylanta or any variety of Zantac, Prilosec, etc.

And the "contemporary scientific consensus" is ONCE AGAIN, exactly WRONG.
The very concept of "scientific consensus" is pure nonsense. Science has ALWAYS been subject to a SINGLE 'falsification' of the prevailing theory. One, and only ONE is needed, single failure of the 'scientific consensus' to accurately explain the observations in the field totally destroys that scientific theory, for any honest science. If the "science" doesn't match the observations, the "science" is WRONG.
Fact: Masks do not prevent or even reduce significantly, the spread of airborne viruses.
Fact: These mRNA "vaccines" do NOT prevent infection.
Fact: These mRNA "vaccines" do NOT prevent transmission of the virus.
Fact: There are MANY effective early, outpatient treatments which reduce hospitalization and death by huge percentages. Evidence in huge populations such as Uttar Pradesh PROVE IT beyond the shadow of a doubt. Yet it is denied, and no early treatment is offered in most US hospitals.
But, now we have Political Science, an true nonsense term, which uses fake sciency falsehoods as a bludgeon for political purposes. That is NOT actual science. And how many have died because of this political NON-science?

I am old, but I am working on it. I am hoping I live long enough to see politicians punished for their crimes and I don't mean merely voting them out of office. Getting rid of a tick doesn't mean you eliminated the disease that came with it.

#1, you read my mind. If this law had been enacted in medieval times, we'd still be treating disease based on the four humours of the body.

I doubt they'll go in. They just need to go around. Maybe a few times. Or maybe they will turn left and head up to NYC metro area and tie up I80, I95, 295, and the Jersey Turnpike.
Why would they announce their strategy? To make it easier to prepare countermeasures?

First, Low’s bill is based upon old data so is not valid. It goes downhill from there.

Democrats are authoritarian and there must be no dissent. The Constitution means nothing to these petty dictators as we have seen over the past several years.

A Native Californian, I had never heard of Evan Low. Apparently the Dems believe gay Mr. Low is a real comer, a la Barack Obama. Read his wiki to see what issues he’s been concerned with. Hardly presidential material.

PS. “Contemporary scientific consensus” is nonexistent. An oxymoron. Science is about questioning, not consensus-building. And it’s not dictated by the government. Any government.

So.....if we can't shut down their free speech rights, we will just declare them unprofessional.
I'm thinking that the exodus from blue states to red states just might be Republicans and libertarians moving out.

Near the end of his life, George Washington was fading rapidly, and like many old people, probably was anemic.
His attending physicians, bowing to current scientific consensus, which was that too much fluid in a person's body was harmful, bled Washington - and killed him.
President James Garfield was shot by an irate office seeker (and Grant stalwart), with a wound that probably was non lethal. Garfield's surgeon, following current scientific consensus, circa 1881,operated without clean hands, and kept probing for the bullet, infecting Garfield.
As Garfield lingered near death, his physicians, making a further genuflection to current scientific consensus, moved Garfield to the ocean, believing that the salt air would cure Garfield's wound.
And Garfield died.
(I can't remember all of the examples offered by young physicians back in my USAF days, but they had a bunch of them. I should have taken notes.)_

Will California have it's own version of the Spanish Inquisition? All must convert to a single belief system or you will be jailed or killed. Which Democrat will be named the Grand Inquisitor? Maybe Adam Schiff can leave Congress and accept the position.
