The American Trucker Convoy Is a Really

Original Article

Sometimes an opinion pops into my head that I know probably isn’t going to go over very well with some of the readers here at RedState, but hey, what kind of writer would I be if I was that easily swayed? So, if you disagree with what I’m about to say, live and let die on this one, and our minds will meet back up on the next one. And on that note, the American trucker convoy headed toward Washington, D.C., to disrupt Joe Biden’s State of the Union address is a really bad idea. I know, I know, but hear me out. No doubt, I was a strong supporter of the Freedom Convoy in Canada.

I have made this exact point on many posts. This is a lame attempt to copycat the Canadian protest that cannot even have the same objective. This is an ill advised attempt to get media attention and it will end badly.

I understand what this article is saying, but I have far more respect and trust in our truckers at this point!!! Unlike the rest of us that complain a lot, they are actually doing something. There are risks to what they are doing (just look at the price so many truckers paid in Canada to stand up to their fascist government). But they are going to make a strong message to the fascists that control so much of our government right now. They have my prayers and full support!!! This is part of our problem as a nation. Evil lie-berals riot and do violent protests all the times over the smallest and stupidest things. They "squeak" and get lots of "grease". Conservatives complain, but then sit on our hands "playing nice", and get nothing!!! Not-my-president Lyin' Joe bidet, Nasty Nancy Pelosi, and the rest of the current gang of tyrants controlling our government right now fear conservatives standing up for ourselves more than anything. These truckers are standing up!!! I stand with them!!!

I must live in alternative Nation. Truckers need full vaccination plus booster to cross to Canada or into the Port of Los Angeles. I was forced to be injected with the third injection last Friday under penalty of termination of employment by February 28 by my Human Resources Gestapo. Bonchie is wrong, the Faucistas are still killing Americans.

#7, isn't that due to Canadian restrictions and California (specifically LA County) restrictions? There's no federal vaccination mandate....unless I'm missing something.

The main problem with any of these rallies is that they are so easy to infiltrate and sabotage. Get a couple dozen false flaggers in there to cause a physical rucus once they get to D.C. and you have another J6 narrative. Vet your convoy, boys, or don't go.

I do what I can in my small local circle. I'm a pureblood and have been fighting the shots at work since they started. I post on this and other web sites and make my feelings known. I write to my senators and representative and discuss freedom with my kids and grandkids. Big deal. It has accomplished nothing. At least these truck drivers are putting themselves out there and getting a reaction from the communists in DC. They have already circled the wagons with their fence and safe bet they will run away before the truckers get there. Thats what cowards do. Also safe bet the FBI already has infiltraitors to try to make them look bad. It was a safe bet there were Nazis in France on D Day too. I guess we should have stayed in England.

I think that the convoy is a reason to celebrate! An event showing that Americans from all over the country are disgusted with the Administration. It will further the idea that we still hold some of the cards and that we are not totally dependent on Government services and not subject to every Dictat that comes from some Goddamned Bureaucrat. You know the Dems will overreact, they can't help themselves, and Americans will see right thru their excuses. I think Conservativeism will be well served!

The 2 years of lies, corruption fraud and little Mengele (Fauci) ruling over us... What was YOUR idea??? You had 2 years to think of something and you remained silent, so shut up. (That should disappoint those who arrest people for no reason and take away their constitutional rights.) They are extremely well-organized and know what they are doing. They are not getting as much airtime as Canadian truckers because of Ukraine, but I'm seeing loads of people on overpasses and highways cheering them on. Those in charge are learning that a lot of people still love their country and have had enough. Anyway, I think it is a great idea.

After the grief and damage that Dementia Joe has caused this country by accepting a stolen presidency and running the country into the ground, any amount of distraction, worry and displays of public discontent with every stupid thing he does is a good thing. The copy-cat truckers' protest is a bad idea at this point. Both Covid and mask-mandates are in retreat. Ukraine invasion has captured the headlines. Worse, I have heard no clear strategy for how the truckers will wind-down their protest once it reaches Washington. Without that strategy, they'll appear defeated when they finally turn their trucks around and return home, tails between their legs; or worse--they'll be set up for arrest like the January 6th protestors.

Mandates are still being enforced in states and in businesses. People are still being terminated from their jobs even in Texas. School Boards are still mandating masks in Texas. City Mayors and County Judges are still mandating masks in city buildings. Nothing has changed. The insanity is still everywhere. The American truckers are exercising their right to protest government policy. I support their exercising their rights, and agree with their protest.

Bonchie makes a valid point. If the US Convoy copies the Canadian honking and traffic jams Biden and the Democrats will be ready and waiting for that. Trudeau has given them a lot of nasty tactics that they can use. The abrupt dropping of government mask mandates is to make this a non-issue. The US Convoy needs to catch Biden and the Democrats flat footed with a different strategy. I suggest finding several good places to park and shut down for 2 weeks. Reason: to protest the insane green war on oil and gas by the Biden administration. The now better than 50% increase in fuel cost is making it difficult to break even. Doing this when no alternative exists is irrational. In addition, it destroyed energy independence with the result that we now have to purchase oil from Russia at high prices. And, this means US dollars are subsidizing Putin's invasion of Ukraine! By shutting down the trucks, the amount of oil we now have to get from Russia and the policies against local production can be reversed. This would help both the US and Ukraine.

In his State of the Union address, President Joe Biden plans to call out his Russian counterpart’s miscalculations in waging war on Ukraine. Biden will say on Tuesday night that President Vladimir Putin’s attack was “premeditated and unprovoked,” after the Russian leader rejected the West’s multiple attempts to find a diplomatic solution. “He thought the West and NATO wouldn’t respond. And, he thought he could divide us here at home,” the president will say before the joint session of Congress, according to excerpts of Biden’s address released by the White House. “Putin was wrong. Washington - Russia's military move on Kyiv has stalled as its forces struggle with basic logistics challenges, including shortages of food and fuel, with some units appearing to be gripped by low morale, a senior U.S. defense official said on Tuesday. Russia warned residents in capital Kyiv to flee their homes on Tuesday and rained rockets down on the second city of Kharkiv, as Russian commanders who have failed to achieve a quick victory shifted their tactics to intensify the bombardment of Ukrainian cities. Satellite images taken on Monday show a Russian military convoy north of Kyiv that stretches for about 40 miles (64 km), substantially longer than the 17 miles

As Russia struggles to conquer Ukraine, Vladimir Putin has moved his strategic nuclear forces to a heightened alert posture. Satellite imagery also indicates that the Russian Northern Fleet has moved more ballistic missile submarines into Arctic and Barents sea patrol sectors. While U.S. nuclear forces remain at standard readiness levels, the U.S. military has a greater baseline readiness and redundant nuclear strike capability than does Russia. I suspect the ultimate intent of Putin's public nuclear threat is to dangle the risk of escalation so as to deter Western unity on further sanctions.

Most State of the Union speeches are forgettable events, where presidents simply lay out their laundry list of desired policies within a highly unedifying cliche-to-substance ratio. But once in a while a State of the Union speech actually matters, and such is the case with President Biden’s address tomorrow night. First, most SotU speeches run an hour or more. Can Biden actually make it that long? But much more important is the substance of the speech. Most SotU addresses start taking shape in the fall, around Thanksgiving. President Joe Biden said Americans should not be worried about nuclear war with Russia after he was mocked for guidelines recommending Americans social distance and mask in the event of a nuclear blast. The comments came despite Russian President Vladimir Putin putting his country's nuclear deterrent forces on high alert on Sunday in an escalation of tensions with the west after attacking Ukraine last week.'Should Americans be worried about nuclear war?' a reporter asked Biden during a White House event Monday.'No,' the president shot back matter-of-factly.

Nearly every Senate Democrat voted in favor of legislation Monday which would have radically expanded abortion rights beyond even the Supreme Court’s ruling in Roe v. Wade. The Women’s Health Protection Act would have forced every state to allow abortions for any reason until at least the point of viability, generally defined at around six months into a pregnancy, and banned most restrictions on abortion up to the point of birth. Every Republican voted against the bill, and every Democrat except Sen. Joe Manchin voted in favor, NBC News reported.

While I have no way of knowing — or giving a damn — if ABC “This Week” host George Stephanopoulos woke up on the wrong side of the bed Sunday morning, I do know that by the time he got to the studio, he was ready to do battle with Arkansas Republican Senator Tom Cotton over his favorite target: Donald Trump. Unfortunately for Stephy, Cotton was more than ready to dismiss him and his stage four TDS nonsense. As reported by NewsBusters, Stephanopoulos did his damnedest to frame Putin as an egomaniacal dictator
I’m Having a Problem Using “President”
In Front Of “Biden”

I’m having a problem using the president’s formal title and name together. It’s not a matter of Republican disrespect for a Democrat. I referred to both Barack Obama and Bill Clinton by their presidential titles. It’s a matter of legitimacy. Over half of all Americans now believe that fraud affected the outcome of the last Presidential election. The Arizona election audit didn’t prove that the Donald won, as many hoped. But it did prove that we don’t really know who won that state. Given the election shenanigans around the country in November 2020, there is certainly justification to question the outcome.

President Joe Biden’s nominee to replace Justice Stephen Breyer on the Supreme Court, Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson, apparently refuses to use the term “illegal alien” in her court opinions, opting instead for “noncitizen.” In a handful of immigration-related cases that Jackson has ruled on U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia, she has made a note to employ the term “noncitizen” or “undocumented non-citizens” rather than the terms “alien” or “illegal aliens” that are regularly used in court and in federal statutes.
