Stephanopoulos Pleads With Cotton to Denounce
Trump for Saying 'Putin Is Smart' and
'America Is Stupid'

While I have no way of knowing — or giving a damn — if ABC “This Week” host George Stephanopoulos woke up on the wrong side of the bed Sunday morning, I do know that by the time he got to the studio, he was ready to do battle with Arkansas Republican Senator Tom Cotton over his favorite target: Donald Trump. Unfortunately for Stephy, Cotton was more than ready to dismiss him and his stage four TDS nonsense. As reported by NewsBusters, Stephanopoulos did his damnedest to frame Putin as an egomaniacal dictator

Comments:

What Trump should have said is that Putin is smart and Democrats are dumb.

I've just head this exchange on the radio this morning. Over and over again Stephanopoulos baited him to put Trump down. Over and over again he kept at it. If I had been there I would have punch Stephanopoulos in the nose AND I'm a woman who has never done such a thing. I've had all I can take of the Trump bashing. They can keep their weak Biden, I'm with Trump all the way.

The writer argues that Trump saying America is stupid was wrong, and argues can you imagine what you would think if Biden said such a thing. Yeah, it gives a grabhold for the idiot left, but really are we that language impaired? He obviously meant bidet is stupid or America’s policy under bidet is stupid, not that America is stupid. Bidet says he is going to restore the soul of America. Nobody is upset with him saying America is soulless. We are upset with pappy poopy pants for a lifetime of incompetence venality and corruption. For taking money out of Ukraine. For creating a fiasco in Afghanistan. For arming terrorists. For opening our borders to criminals smugglers drugs and perhaps Russian terrorists. Why worry about inconsequential phraseology?

We know how the media works. They will glob on to Trump's statement but only use "America is Stupid". It's what the media does and they use those words against Trump, and they repeat it over and over and over until all of those who refuse to acknowledge what Trump was referring to repeat it and slam all of us for it. I have inlaws that will try to slam me for Trump's statement eventhough I know what Trump was trying to save. Trump should have said Democrats are Stupid and that doesn't leave anything for interpretation.

With all that is going on in the world, Stephanapoulos is worried about President Trump calling Putin smart? I have to agree, Putin waited until we had an extremely weak leader to invade Ukraine. Under President Trump, Putin wouldn't have done this. Because of biden's extremely weak leadership, we are headed for WWIII.

Why must the 2022 version of Trump supply ammunition to democrats? What he said about Putin during a time when bombs, missiles, and bullets are killing Ukrainians was not helpful, true or not, and sure to further inflame the left and more importantly, does nothing to support the Ukrainians on whose heads Putin's munitions are falling. For someone who has sought out and basked in the media spotlight for most of his adult life, he often seems to be either naive, or suffering from a political death wish.

Trump was right again, as there is no way that Putin would be the President of Russia for twenty years if he were not clever and smart. Common sense will tell you that as Russia has just about always been a nation run by strong men, except for the Catherine the Great era where a woman was in charge for awhile. Sometimes Trump gives the leftist, progressives, and socialist Democrats and their media propagandists ammunition to use against him when he speaks using broad statements and wide comments in his Queens, NY vernacular. Like here where Trump said that the USA was stupid instead of zeroing in and commenting directly that he thought Biden, his Administration, and the Democrats are acting stupidly in the strategic sense, as that was what Trump was actually talking about at that time. In other words Trump should tighten up his comments.

You know, it's possible to support Trump and still point out that what he said about Putin was absolutely shameful. Unless you think Trump is perfect, he is bound, like all mortals, to make mistakes, and praising Putin as that monster began murdering the men, women and children of Ukraine was a major mistake for which Trump should apologise. Are we going to start supporting Putin now because it seems to be part of the ideology with which we march in lockstep?
