America’s Military Aircraft Readiness
Has Tanked Amidst a Focus on Woke Politics.

The U.S. Air Force’s capability has sunk to 70 percent, according to reports from Frontpage. Only 7 out of 10 planes were mission-capable in 2021. At present, none of the planes required to countering any significant aerial attack or engagement from the Chinese Communist Party or others are more than 70 percent capable. Mission-capable or “readiness” rates are defined as the percentage of time an aircraft can fly and execute at least one mission, according to reports citing the Government Accountability Office (GAO). Under President Donald Trump’s administration (snip) ordered that many Navy and Air Force fighter jets achieve a minimum mission capable rate of 80 percent.

Comments:

The most woeful Air Force failure - - has been in the production of pregnancy flight suits. The goal was 40,000 suits - - but only 1,800 have been produced so far. How can they properly defend our nation - - with such poor results as that?

We're the best NATO has...in fact, we are NATO. Hope the Dutch bring their hairnets to the fight that's brewing in Ukraine. Of the five top rated European military powers, #1 is France, followed by UK, Italy, Germany, and Spain. See any of these deploying to the East? Would it matter if they did? BTW: The Netherlands ranks just ahead of Romania in this ranking by GFP.

The truth is the troops nod and pretend to be listening while thinking you can stick your "racist" propaganda where the sun don't shine. The problem is while they are attending these Marxist/Communist indoctrination sessions they are not working on aircraft. They are masters at passive resistance so these sessions make no sense whatsoever. Unfortunately, commanders will get fired for low mission ready rates because the generals have lost touch with what's really important and end up crushing morale/careers with this garbage.

Looks like we should think about training state militias, just in case. At least until we get the coup out of power.

They are literally destroying the military from within. I have two nephews, both bright and very patriotic who were thinking hard about carreers in the USMC. One is now out because it is so dysfunctional already, and the other has decided to get out as soon as his current enlistment is up. I'm sure that the good folks are getting out in droves in the military, leaving the incompetent affirmative action and butt kissers who cannot do the jobs. All of our military branches will be near collapse in a few years.

"...the U.S. military had decided to move away from narrow goals for specific aircraft and was instead exploring “a more holistic view of readiness.” What a load. I work in the repair industry for one of the airframes listed in the article, and it's a daily struggle by a bunch of full-time, smart engineers and techs to keep all the aging hardware functional. I can imagine how the active-duty guys on the flight line must be struggling to pull their share of the load while attending all the diversity and other useless training sessions. Only 2/3 of the F-35 fleet is mission capable? That's gotta be due to bugs still being worked out with a new air frame.

I fear the US military in general is in a poor state, and as always, leadership at the top is key to success so I just pray that the entire US military is kept out of this European war, because I don't want to see youngster's live thrown away uselessly like they were in Afghastlistan. Let the feckless, useless, preening, queer loving Euroweenies deal with this themsleves, let the GD Krauts wake up to the Russian Bear on their doorstep f'rinstance. Look at me, do I seem to care? I do feel for staunch supporters of freedom as the Poles, God bless them. Anything that can be done for them, should be done, beginning with keeping US "Generalship" where it belongs, in the girl's bathroom and away from any fighting, They'd all go on stress leave, anyway. This is like waking up and finding Turdo has been put in charge of our destiny, a horror show.

Commanders used to be relieved for not meeting readiness goals. We should start at the top, after the commies are removed this year, and bring back that practice. (Along with politicians and bureaucrats for treason.)

That is great to know given the current Ukraine, European situation. Sure hope the Pentagon has the Air Force and Navy furiously working to get that readiness percent up to 100% ready where it should be at all times, no matter what the world status is! All of the diversity, equity , and Wokeness training will do us no good if our military is not able to defend itself with it's weapons.

In 2016, voters in California approved a $1.2 billion program to build housing for the homeless. This is a fine idea, and Californians should be applauded for their compassion and generosity. But six years later, only 1,200 units have been built out of the 10,300 that have been paid for. One project under development would cost $837,000 for each housing unit, according to a report published by Los Angeles city controller Ron Galperin. Another 14% of units exceeded $700,000 in cost.

A new report reveals that the Biden administration attempted to stave off the Russian invasion of Ukraine as far back as last November. They did so by trying to share intelligence with Beijing. But the partnership between China and Russia was strong enough that the Chinese government informed the Kremlin as to what the US knew. It adds more to the questions surrounding what preventative measures President Biden undertook leading up to the invasion of Ukraine earlier this week.CORRECTION*

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention relaxed its mask guidance on Friday, allowing most people to ditch their face coverings so long as Covid-19 hospitalizations in their communities remain low. Under the new CDC guidance, people are advised to wear masks in public areas indoors, including schools, when there’s a lot of virus circulation in their communities that could overwhelm local hospitals. More than 70% of Americans live in communities where wearing masks is no longer recommended under the new CDC guidelines, because hospitals are not under severe threat from disease there.

Only eight states haven't redrawn their congressional lines, which will be in place for a decade. With House Republicans needing to net only five seats to win a majority in the 435-member chamber, each seat this redistricting cycle has taken on outsize meaning. In addition to 44 states that have had to redraw their lines following the 2020 census, six states have low enough populations that they only have a single House member. So, overall, the redistricting process, when completed, will have affected 429 House seats.
