Former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie launched into former President Trump with dismay over his comments describing Vladimir Putin as 'very savvy' and a 'genius.' Christie, a former close advisor to Trump who trained him for his debates in 2020, wrote on Twitter: 'How can anyone with any understanding of the world call Putin's decision to invade Ukraine "genius" and "very savvy" as we watch him unite the rest of the world against Russia in nearly an instant?'
Russia's invasion of Ukraine has triggered aggressive sanctions the world over-even typically neutral nations like Sweden and Switzerland have joined the European Union's sanctions plan to starve and isolate the Russian

President Biden will promote a new “988” crisis hotline and outline funding to combat the harmful effects of social media when he devotes a portion of his State of the Union Address to the “unprecedented mental health crisis” in the country, the White House said. The three-digit hotline is available in some parts of the country, but a July launch will make it available nationwide as part of an interconnected network of local crisis centers that can respond to calls and texts. Mr. Biden plans to propose nearly $700 million in funding in his fiscal 2023 budget to “staff up and shore up” local crisis centers.

Sometimes an opinion pops into my head that I know probably isn’t going to go over very well with some of the readers here at RedState, but hey, what kind of writer would I be if I was that easily swayed? So, if you disagree with what I’m about to say, live and let die on this one, and our minds will meet back up on the next one.
And on that note, the American trucker convoy headed toward Washington, D.C., to disrupt Joe Biden’s State of the Union address is a really bad idea.
I know, I know, but hear me out. No doubt, I was a strong supporter of the Freedom Convoy in Canada.

The U.S. government has been advising Americans to social distance during a possible nuclear attack, according to a bulletin last updated Feb. 25, 2022.
As part of the bulletin’s warning, individuals are told to get inside to the nearest building to avoid radiation and remove contaminated clothing that could have come in contact with debris when the fallout from the attack occurred.
“Go to the basement or middle of the building,” the government advises. “Stay away from the outer walls and roofs.

Minnesotans would be protected from discrimination based on how they wear their hair under a bill the House passed Monday. The so-called CROWN Act, which stands for Creating a Respectful and Open World for Natural Hair, adds a definition of race that is inclusive of natural hairstyles and textures to the Minnesota Human Rights Act. It's an effort to break down barriers that Black Minnesotans face at work, school and in other public spaces for wearing hairstyles such as braids, locs and twists. The bill "will clearly define that no one should be prevented from a job or an education because of the way that their hair naturally grows

I am going to miss him terribly,” Feinstein, 88, said in a statement.“Dick was incredibly devoted to his family, particularly his daughters and his grandchildren, and my heart is with them and everyone who Dick encountered.

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) on Monday announced that he has denied a request for the state’s National Guard to deploy to the nation’s capital for President Biden’s Tuesday State of the Union address, ensuring that the Florida National Guard will not be sent to Washington, DC.The Biden administration last week requested assistance from state National Guards ahead of Tuesday’s speech. The request coincides with hundreds of National Guard members being activated in the D.C. area ahead of the address to assist with traffic and security. Florida’s National Guard, however, will not participate.

President Joe Biden said Americans should not be worried about nuclear war with Russia after he was mocked for guidelines recommending Americans social distance and mask in the event of a nuclear blast. The comments came despite Russian President Vladimir Putin putting his country's nuclear deterrent forces on high alert on Sunday in an escalation of tensions with the west after attacking Ukraine last week.'Should Americans be worried about nuclear war?' a reporter asked Biden during a White House event Monday.'No,' the president shot back matter-of-factly.

Nearly every Senate Democrat voted in favor of legislation Monday which would have radically expanded abortion rights beyond even the Supreme Court’s ruling in Roe v. Wade.
The Women’s Health Protection Act would have forced every state to allow abortions for any reason until at least the point of viability, generally defined at around six months into a pregnancy, and banned most restrictions on abortion up to the point of birth.
Every Republican voted against the bill, and every Democrat except Sen. Joe Manchin voted in favor, NBC News reported.

While I have no way of knowing — or giving a damn — if ABC “This Week” host George Stephanopoulos woke up on the wrong side of the bed Sunday morning, I do know that by the time he got to the studio, he was ready to do battle with Arkansas Republican Senator Tom Cotton over his favorite target: Donald Trump.
Unfortunately for Stephy, Cotton was more than ready to dismiss him and his stage four TDS nonsense.
As reported by NewsBusters, Stephanopoulos did his damnedest to frame Putin as an egomaniacal dictator

I’m having a problem using the president’s formal title and name together. It’s not a matter of Republican disrespect for a Democrat. I referred to both Barack Obama and Bill Clinton by their presidential titles. It’s a matter of legitimacy. Over half of all Americans now believe that fraud affected the outcome of the last Presidential election. The Arizona election audit didn’t prove that the Donald won, as many hoped. But it did prove that we don’t really know who won that state. Given the election shenanigans around the country in November 2020, there is certainly justification to question the outcome.

President Joe Biden’s nominee to replace Justice Stephen Breyer on the Supreme Court, Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson, apparently refuses to use the term “illegal alien” in her court opinions, opting instead for “noncitizen.”
In a handful of immigration-related cases that Jackson has ruled on U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia, she has made a note to employ the term “noncitizen” or “undocumented non-citizens” rather than the terms “alien” or “illegal aliens” that are regularly used in court and in federal statutes.

Translation - - All the polls indicate that the commies and demonrats are being killed politically by their despotic and insane mandates. So it's time to pretend that it was all Trump's fault.
