Donald Trump praised Vladimir Putin's plan to invade Ukraine as 'genius' and called the Russian leader 'very savvy' on Tuesday, hours after he put out a statement saying Russia would have never invaded Ukraine under his watch. Speaking with conservative podcaster Buck Sexton, the former president said: 'I went in yesterday and there was a television screen, and I said, "This is genius,"' Trump recalled. 'Putin declares a big portion of the Ukraine — of Ukraine -- Putin declares it as independent. Oh, that's wonderful.''I said, "How smart is that?'" the former U.S. president continued. 'And he’s gonna go in and be a peacekeeper. That’s the strongest peace force…

American truckers and their supporters are organizing and heading to Washington, D.C. to protest COVID-19 mandates. The People’s Convoy is patterned after Canada’s Freedom Convoy. Truckers will leave California tomorrow and arrive in Washington on Saturday, March 5. D.C. law enforcement is preparing for their arrival.
The People’s Convoy announced plans to launch a “peaceful and unified transcontinental movement” in Southern California. Organizers say their intention is to have a “law-abiding convoy” with truckers, blue-collar workers and supporters participating in it. According to the news release, they expect supporters from all walks of life. Their news release named some conservative-leaning journalists who will join the convoy to cover

White House press secretary Jen Psaki took a lot of questions on Tuesday about Russia invading Ukraine (again or still, if you like) during her briefing.
But if you thought that she would provide any greater sense than her stumbling, slurring boss, you would be mistaken.
Psaki said they wanted to “avoid a large-scale invasion” of Ukraine by Russia. They still can’t escape from Biden’s “minor incursion” remark, which signaled to Putin that Biden wasn’t going to respond with the toughest sanctions. Putin has Biden’s number; he knows that, even now, they’re still having difficulty calling it an “invasion.”

House Republicans are scheduled to pick up at least ten House seats due to Democrat retirements alone, according to an analysis by left-leaning Punchbowl News.

Some of the districts that will likely fall to Republicans from Democrats’ grasp have not been finalized by state legislatures or courts. However, Punchbowl estimated the following districts will change from blue to red:

Earlier today I credited Alexander Vindman with the hottest take on Ukraine. Vindman blamed Russia’s aggression on conservative pundits in the United States. Because we have so much influence on the Biden administration, apparently.
But yesterday my old law professor Larry Tribe went Vindman one better with this bizarre tweet. Which, by the way, was published at 4:09 a.m., not generally seen as a time for clear, sober thinking: Tribe thinks that Tucker Carlson and other unnamed Republicans in the “Trump wing” of the party are guilty of treason, and therefore subject to criminal prosecution and five years’ imprisonment under 18 U.S.C. § 2381. This is sheer lunacy,

Nearly 24 hours after Russian President Vladimir Putin invaded Ukraine under the guise of recognizing the autonomy of parts of the Donbas region, US President Joe Biden finally mustered a response. Showing up almost two hours late for what was supposed to be an incredibly urgent address (they even moved the start time up, only for him to miss his mark by a mile), the president stumbled and slurred his way through his remarks, outlining a series of incredibly weak sanctions and previewing more pain in the wallet for the average American.
Biden wasn’t done for the day, though. He immediately entered a meeting about “green” energy initiatives, attended by

Fears over over Vladimir Putin’s threatened invasion of Ukraine continue to grow despite the fact that the effort would burst both Russia’s military and economy, not to mention ruining its foreign relations. Swallowing a poison pawn makes so little sense that UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson says Russia’s Putin may be “irrational,” unable to act in his own best interests. Yet it is not only the Kremlin’s behavior that has a bizarre feel to it. Despite decrying the seriousness of the situation, Western governments aren’t obviously readying for a European conflict. Instead they are focusing on masks, mandates and invoking war powers

As RedState has reported, Russia has officially thumbed its nose at Joe Biden and invaded Ukraine. That happened after Vladimir Putin formerly recognized regions of Eastern Ukraine as autonomous, setting up the pretext to move in troops across the border as a peacekeeping force.
The administration has responded by quibbling about the definition of “invasion,” and signing a toothless executive order to sanction financial dealings in the Donbas and other regions now officially occupied by Russia. President Biden will announce Tuesday a series of public and private-sector investments to extract minerals such as cobalt, lithium and graphite that are needed for electric vehicles and other aspects of the global shift toward a “clean energy economy,” the White House said. The administration expects demand for these minerals to spike 400-600% generally and demand for minerals used in electric vehicles to jump 6,000% over the next several decades. Mr. Biden is fearful the U.S. is too dependent on China so he will trumpet new investments after ordering a review of the supply chain a year ago. “Critical minerals provide the building blocks for many modern technologies

Five people were discovered dead inside a Colorado apartment — where a 4-month-old baby was also found alive — after what police are investigating as a drug-fueled party involving fentanyl, officials said. The bodies of three women and two men were discovered inside a unit at the North Range Crossings Apartments on East 104th Avenue, Commerce City Police Chief Clint Nichols said, the Denver Post reported. Another adult and an infant were found alive, he added. District Attorney Brian Mason said that the deaths were fentanyl-related. “No drug is safe right now. POWAY, Calif. – Some families are reaching a boiling point over the school mask mandate at Poway Unified School District. From heated school board meetings in Santee to anti-mask rallies in Poway, young children and their parents are becoming more vocal over California's indoor school mask mandate that has no expiration date. PUSD superintendent Marian Kim Phelps wrote a two-page letter to Governor Gavin Newsom and the county's health officer Dr. Wilma Wooten last week asking for an immediate time frame as to when the mandate would be lifted. California is one of 13 states in the country that have yet

Happy Tuesday, dear Kruiser Morning Briefing friends. The dress code has been amended to include ascots and Crocs, but never together.
One of the best arguments for colonizing the moon and Mars is that there would be someplace to get away to when this world gets crazy. On the off chance that you haven’t been outside in while, I would like to pass along the fact that the world is, at present, a little Froot Loops.
If someone had written a novel describing the last two years, critics would have panned it as a dystopian effort that was just a little too over the top.

Alexandria Ocasio Cortez (AOC), US Representative (14th district of New York) holds that capitalism, the economic system in our United States that people from all over the world risk life and limb to enter any way they can, is “irredeemable.”
Her contempt for capitalism is matched only by her love of socialism: “The emphasis in socialism is on democracy. … It’s just as much a transformation about bringing democracy to the workplace so that … we don’t check all of our rights at the [workplace] door because … as workers and people in society, we’re the ones creating wealth.”

German chancellor Olaf Scholz announced on Tuesday that his government will halt the certification process for the Nord Stream 2 pipeline in response to Russia’s recognition of two separatist Ukrainian enclaves.
Nord Stream 2, which is controlled by a subsidiary of Russia’s state-owned energy corporation Gazprom, is completed and filled with gas but has not yet come online. Germany had expected to double imports of natural gas from Russia via the pipeline.
However, “the situation today is fundamentally different,” Scholz told reporters. “That is why we must re-evaluate this situation, in view of the latest developments.

The Russian invasion of eastern Ukraine has finally happened and now the Trump haters who tried to impeach President Trump over Ukraine have much to answer for.
Looking at you, Alexander Vindman. Looking at you, Alexandra and Andrea Chalupa. Looking at you, Fiona Hill.
These are all the crummy little supposedly pro-Ukraine operatives who did their damndest to undermine President Trump during his administration.
After all, the Russia invasion didn't happen on Trump's watch as they plotted and schemed against him instead of did their jobs.

I saw people praising this piece on Twitter and wound up reading the entire thing. It offers a detailed and revealing first person perspective on how a teenage girl could go from mocking SJW’s to deciding that she was trans and needed to start living as a boy to be happy. Not surprisingly, one of the key drivers in this story was social media where as a young teen Helena discovered a fantasy world inhabited by unhappy teen girls just like herself. I developed an obsession with classic rock, and while searching the internet for photos of young Elvis Presley I found a website called Tumblr.

Sunday was the final day of the 2022 Beijing Olympics and the overall numbers for how many people watched this year’s winter games were the worst ever for NBCUniversal.
The games, which started Feb. 4 and went through Sunday, averaged 11.4 million viewers across all of the network’s platforms in primetime, according to the Hollywood Reporter in a piece published Monday. Those numbers are down from the average number of 19.8 million who watched the games in 2018 in Pyeongchang, South Korea, the report noted. Not only were the average number of viewers down by 42%,

The Canadian Parliament voted Monday night to approve Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s motion to invoke the Emergencies Act by a vote of 185 for and 151 against.
Trudeau invoked the Act, an unprecedented move, last week claiming it necessary to dispel peaceful protests linked to the Freedom Convoy movement, which is demanding an end to civil rights violations by the Trudeau government allegedly necessary to fight the Chinese coronavirus. At press time on Monday, no active Freedom Convoy protests exist anywhere in Canada.

The world has watched, in pain, as images of police violence from Ottawa, and of a bid for Canadian tyranny (that I would ever write those words!) are flashed around the world.
As usual, I hate to be Cassandra; but the chessboard ahead is all too clear. On Feb 12, 2022, I warned, during an appearance on Steve Bannon’s WarRoom, that we all must all now brace for a period during which the powers that now clearly seek to enslave our planet, and subdue our human species, will be broadcasting scenes of civil society mayhem, and of shocking violence against protesters.

Canada is leaving the Western world. In terms of all-encompassing government, suppression of dissent and the denial of fundamental human rights to many of its citizens, Canada is now more similar to Cuba than to any free country. Canada may eventually return to Western civilization, but as of this writing, the majority of Canadians appear to have no interest in it doing so. According to Maru Public Opinion, "two-thirds (66%) of Canadians support Prime Minister Justin Trudeau bringing in the Emergencies Act ... A majority (56%) of Canadians do not support the truckers who are protesting in any way, shape, or form.

For those who haven’t heard, cattle and pork are threats to the environment. The farms that raise them are foul greenhouse gas offenders. Better, say our superiors, that we settle for a nice bowl of insects instead.
A recent New York Times opinion feature headlined “The Joy of Cooking (Insects)” looks at “our broken food system and the three chances you get to help fix it – and save the planet – every day.”
“A growing tribe of environmentalists, academics and entrepreneurs are arguing that edible insects must enjoy a wider acceptance to help create a more sustainable global food system,” says the Times.

President Joe Biden touted his appointment of Clinton confidant and Kamal Harris-bestie Minyon Moore to help him choose the first black female Supreme Court justice, but he never mentioned that she's a Black Lives Matter board member, CRT promoter and supports the Defund the Police movement.
Moore's deep blue political credentials go all the way back to Jesse Jackson's 1984 and 1988 presidential campaigns. But when the president announced that he would be setting up a board of advisors to help him with his SCOTUS pick and confirmation strategy he soft-peddled Moore's history.

The Bill of Rights is very clear and does not have any stipulations pertaining to the Second Amendment. There are no conditions attached to the Second Amendment, such as the type of firearm, number of bullets in the magazine, caliber size, manufacturer, or how many firearms you can have on you or in your home. The Second Amendment clearly states that the citizens of the United States have the right to keep and bear arms. It’s that simple. Nothing more. Nothing less. The Democrats use every opportunity, no matter how miniscule the connection might be, to oppose the right to keep and bear arms

A Brooklyn man who was threatened with a hatchet while commuting on the subway Monday morning is still reeling from the violent encounter. “I’m still shaking. I still can’t eat. It’s still replaying in my mind,” Kyle Westby, 42, told The Post hours after he was threatened with an ax at the Franklin Avenue station in Brooklyn around 1 a.m. Monday. Westby was headed home from a late dinner out with his girlfriend when he arrived at the Prospect Heights station and saw two men, one of whom asked: “Why are you staring at me?” Westby recalled. “I saw him reach into his jacket and pull out a brown object.

Kenosha shooter Kyle Rittenhouse plans to take aim at the people and organizations who called him a 'murderer', a 'white supremacist' among other things in the run up to his trial and subsequent acquittal. Rittenhouse killed two men and wounded a third during confrontations amid anti-police protests in Kenosha in August 2020. He testified that he acted in self-defense. Last November, the 18-year-old was found not guilty of first-degree intentional homicide and other charges, and walked out of court a free man. Speaking on Tucker Carlson on Fox News on Monday night, Rittenhouse said he wanted to hold major media and entertainment figures 'accountable'

Thanks to the Texas Heartbeat Act, the number of abortions in Texas is dropping. But pro-abortion forces in the state remain defiant of the law. According to the Thomas More Society, directors “of the Lilith Fund for Reproductive Equity and the Texas Equal Access Fund have admitted in court that their organizations paid for at least one abortion of an unborn child in Texas that had a detectable heartbeat.”
The Thomas More Society says that it has “filed pre-suit petitions for discovery” against these two abortion funds:

On Monday, which also happens to be Presidents’ Day in the United States, Vladimir Putin ordered troops to Ukraine after recognizing two pro-Russian regions as independent, in an apparent pretext for invasion.
Putin has been threatening war for some time, and Joe Biden has seemingly let him, undeterred. Oh, there have been some verbal warnings, but this is Joe Biden we’re talking about here. Nothing he’s said or done to dissuade Putin has been effective.
Of course, Joe Biden may simply be letting Putin do whatever he wants. After all, he canceled the Keystone XL pipeline before waiving sanctions on the Nord Stream 2–Russia’s natural gas pipeline.

Vlad Putin, the evil though very calculating chief oligarch of the shriveled nation of Russia (when stacked against its predecessor, the Soviet Union), is playing chess over the fate of Ukraine, while our figurehead president and his gaggle of administration mediocrities (here being charitable) and Pentagon toadies play checkers. I’ll venture this wager -- though with modest reservations: Putin will bring Ukraine into his orbit without sending his troops en masse into said country.
On Monday, Putin recognized Russian-dominated regions of the Ukraine, followed by a minor incursion of "peacekeepers," travelling by bus, not APC.

Her turn on the witness stand came immediately after an appearance by the former stripper with whom Biden, 52, has an out-of-wedlock child, the source said.Kestan — a lingerie and textile designer who uses the online handle

Early voting in Texas has been going on for a week but Monday’s Good Morning America on ABC highlighted a supposed voter suppression case where they complained it took the woman “28 days” to cast her ballot. It was the case of Pam Gaskin, the same woman CNN highlighted last week with the same convoluted, conflicting, and now-evolving story about how Republicans were suppressing her right to vote because she filled out the application incorrectly. (Snip) One reason, for the first time, voters are required to submit their social security number or driver's license number and it has to be the same form of I.D. they used when they registered

Note the word “protection” in the headline, which is different from “antibodies.” Antibodies always fade in time; it takes around four months after a third COVID shot, according to the best data we have. But there’s more to immunity than just antibodies. There are also T cells and B cells, which work together to help the immune system form a “memory” of a particular virus. (Or the spike protein of a particular virus, which is how the vaccines work.) Once you have that “memory,” you can generate new antibodies rapidly to neutralize that virus if you’re infected with it.
And here’s the important part: The clearer the “memory”
