The Pentagon could commission the National Guard to help manage thousands of big rigs expected to descend upon the nation's capital this week in protest of government mandates.Following the path of a Canadian convoy of anti-vaccine long haulers who congested Ottawa's streets for weeks this month, a group of fed-up American truckers from throughout the country are setting out Wednesday to launch their own mass protest in Washington, D.C., and plan to congest popular thoroughfares - including the Capitol Beltway. The Pentagon has been asked to help manage the protests by deploying the National Guard, according to Pentagon press secretary John Kirby.

I think that the Nat Guard should all call in sick.

But when Black Lives Matter decides to loot and burn in DC... No problem. I have come to despise that cesspool and all that dwell within.

If the NG is authorized to use lethal force and they comply, that will answer one of our big questions, are you an American Patriot or are you a government goon? Your future depends upon your response.

The National Guard could be useful and effective simply by locking up the Capital police to prevent violence.

I think they’re being set up. There will be violent instigators hiding in plain sight. Friends, be very, very careful.

Don't block the Beltway. Just get so many trucks on the Beltway (in shifts), continually circling DC. And instead of Go Fund Me and the like, let's just pass the hat and pay cash.

Gonna hafta pull them out of the schools where they have been replacing Teachers, Hospitals where they have been replacing nurses, off the roads where they have been replacing bus drivers an plow operators, away from the couple of dozen "Migrant camps" where they have been acting as welcome wagon representatives(rather than being deployed to the Border to Guard the Nation)
Capitol Police alone number around 2000officers/staff....MORE than many states entire Guard.
If there were EVER a time to draft/transport/Deploy an "Army" of social workers, councilors, community relations facilitators, and conflict de-escalators.? This is it.
While you are at it...Send all of those "Register everyone to vote" activists you have under your employ, here is a "Group" for them to make sure get access to their Democratic Rights.(BLM and Womens marches had hundreds of "Register Here to VOTE" tables set up and staffed)

Unless the Freedom Convoy is short on LGBTQ+ Pride flags, I don't see how this is necessary. Then again, having our military open fire on real-live peaceful protestors would show Ivan that we mean business.

Hmm. I was of the impression that the National Guard is deployed at the pleasure of the various state governors.

The governors control the National Guard and can refuse. The Reservists can be called though.

Best prepare. They or the truckers will be used. I would not trust the DC cops as far as I can throw them. Truckers should just stop working. I totally understand and support them. But stopping deliveries might be more affective.

The only reason a President would keep Lloyd Austin and Mark Milley around after they failed so spectacularly in Afghanistan is since they know they should have been fired they are grateful enough to do anything for you.

Keep it peaceful, Truckers. I believe our Constitution still allows us to protest our government And as far off the rails as our governing body is - it certainly DESERVES to be protested. We look for leaders - lead on! Canada rules do not apply here. Yet.

It might be worth it just to watch that battery operated cadaver Pelosi do a melt-down. I'd like to see her hair on fire, after all, she has a standing appointment with her hair dresser.

Now the fraudulent, criminal administration can claim that that truckers were a MOB and that they participated in a RIOT.
It sounds familiar.

Bull crap. A law was recently passed that gives the Capital Police unilateral authority to call in the National Guard. The pentagon has nothing to do with it. More fake news.

No one ever anticipated that the National Guard would be used to protect the politicians from the American people.

I have a feeling in November people will remember they failed to protect the borders yet protected Nancy & Joe..and trashed Trump for requesting National Guard on January 6th..

#14 If truckers stop delivering, the PEOPLE will suffer. The government elites will just swan off to St. Bart's with Sir. Paul and the Hollywood/music industry swells. Remember, every revolution starts with FAMINE.
