Tyranny: Canadian Parliament Votes for
Emergencies Act Motion

Original Article

The Canadian Parliament voted Monday night to approve Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s motion to invoke the Emergencies Act by a vote of 185 for and 151 against. Trudeau invoked the Act, an unprecedented move, last week claiming it necessary to dispel peaceful protests linked to the Freedom Convoy movement, which is demanding an end to civil rights violations by the Trudeau government allegedly necessary to fight the Chinese coronavirus. At press time on Monday, no active Freedom Convoy protests exist anywhere in Canada.

Comments:

Trudeau's authoritarianism now has the validation of a majority of their legislature. It can happen here, do not doubt.

However unpopular a dictator like Trudeau can be, he couldn’t get anywhere without a cadre of like-minded stooges backing him up. A dictator cannot dictate alone.

I had to fly through Ontario in 2018 and 2019. The first time, due to their screwup with one stamp on my boarding pass, I had to spend the night in the Toronto airport and fly home the next day. The second time, I had to go through Customs and security screening twice, and almost missed my connecting flight. Both times, I got the distinct impression that I was being singled out for all that hassle just because I was American. I swore then that I’d never set foot in Canada again. It appears they like what they’ve become. I hope their chains hang lightly on them.

Canadian psychologist and author Jordan Peterson had this to say: "Canadians, you have no idea what was done today in the name of -- what? Safety? Punishment? What is the rationale, even hypothetically? The Emergency Act was reserved for events that threatened the very existence of the state. If you think that current events qualify, think again"

Out of curiosity, did any members of the ruling coalation (Dictator Trudeau's lackeys) vote NO on this freedom-grabbing measure? And did any of the opposition vote for the lunacy? Obviously, enough of the majority enjoy trampling on their citizens' freedoms, otherwise there could have been a no confidence vote in the government, forcing elections.

My understanding of the vote to support the continuation of the Emergencies Act was this: Trudeau threatened to resign if the Emergency Measures Act was not passed. A failure to pass the emergency measures would be seen as a vote of no confidence in Trudeau so he would resign. If the measure did not pass and Trudeau resigned, there would have been new elections called under the system in Canada. Liberals were terrified that they would not be reelected given the current political climate and recent events surrounding the Trucker Protests. Rather that risk a new election and losing their seats, the liberals supported the Emergency Powers Act. They only supported it to protect their vulnerable seats in Parliament. Liberals, as always, are cowards preferring their power over what is right.

Ohio’s crowded Republican Senate primary is still 2 1/2 months away, but one candidate has made gains in recent weeks: businessman Mike Gibbons. A February poll by the Trafalgar Group found Josh Mandel as an early front-runner in the primary race to replace retiring GOP Ohio Sen. Rob Portman, with the winner expected to face Democratic Rep. Tim Ryan in November. But it found Gibbons at 16.4%, an increase from 11.9% in December, marking a jump from third to second place in just two months. One of CNN’s promotional videos, a compilation of short clips of many of its hosts still being used to this day, includes a clip of Erin Burnett, evidentially quite exercised about some great injustice, asking: “How stupid do you think we are?” The promotional video does not provide the context for this great social justice warrior’s impassioned words but it is in fact in reference to remarks by several GOP senators’ remarks about Donald Trump’s alleged description in a private Oval Office meeting of certain African countries and Haiti as “s**thole” countries. Although these events took place long ago, it is useful to dissect Burnett’s remarks in some detail

Far-left Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau faced another round of heckling and widespread laughter in Parliament on Tuesday, prompting audible cackling at his use of the term “responsible leadership” after invoking the never-before-used Emergencies Act against anti-mandate protesters this week. The Emergencies Act is a law passed in 1988 that allows for widespread federal civil rights violations in the event of violent civil unrest, terrorism, and other emergencies. The law replaced the War Measures Act which granted similar sweeping powers and was last used by Prime Minister Pierre Trudeau, the current head of government’s father, against secessionist terrorists in Quebec.

Waukesha parade massacre suspect Darrell Brooks has pled “not guilty” to killing six people and wounding dozens of others when he allegedly plowed an SUV through crowds of Christmas parade attendees in November of last year. “We’d waive formal reading, and we can enter pleas of not guilty this morning,” Brooks’ defense attorney Jeremy Perri said last Friday. Brooks’ attorney also requested for a change of venue or for jurors to be sequestered and selected from another county, arguing that the intensity of the parade coverage has already turned the city of Waukesha against him.
