Federal officials warn billions stolen

Federal officials warned Tuesday that as much as $80 billion in unemployment benefits could have fraudulently gone to cybercriminals and international crime rings. Officials from the Government Accountability Office (GAO) and the U.S. Secret Service say improper accountability measures at the federal and state levels aided the fraud throughout the coronavirus pandemic.(Snip)International syndicates and cyberhackers quickly set up fake profiles, using pilfered personal information, to steal billions from the federal government. Much of the tactics were already well known to law enforcement agencies since cybercriminals had previously used them to bilk money from disaster relief programs. The criminals had previously not targeted unemployment because of the small nature

Comments:

The federal government's goal is to spend us into complete insolvency, destroying our personal wealth along the way in the name of equity and fairness. Allowing international fraudsters to steal the money is an excellent tactic, as the government will spend another $80 billion in order to recoup a tiny fraction of the total, if only on paper. They only pretend to be stupid.

The feds were so quick to give out money for emergency unemployment to the states, they didn't bother to monitor the use of the funds. The states eery in such a rush to pay out their extra unemployment windfall, they didn't bother to actually check to see if the person actually qualified for the unemployment benefits. Anyone and everyone could collect unemployment, no questions asked. Employer protests against an employee getting unemployment benefits was ignored. Unemployment Officials blamed any backlog in cases on Covid. Now, two years later they are trying to sort it out and addressing employer protests even though benefits have been paid and long spent. Typical government incompetence!

For a few months back in 2020, I processed the fraudulent claims charged against my company. Some of the claims were for people who OWNED the company at the time. Some employees who were fraudulently indicated as being unemployed were hit twice. These were people who were still working. We laid off NO ONE during the pandemic. Guess how many people the State of Illinois had processing fraudulent claims? Two. I was to email two people at the State with the requested information -- on an Excel spreadsheet. This is the way the BROKE State of Illinois processed fraud. Such sophistication was barely past the stone-table stage of technological evolution. LOL Who runs Illinois? Democrats.

#8, the food stamp program is configured the same way, by design. The benefits are disbursed by "the federal government," but any fraud investigations are done by the individual states at their own cost. And so, by design, there is very little interest in pursuing food stamp fraud. Funny how that works.

The emergency law was necessary, but not thought out by the government/. Our ballerina daughter, who lives and works in Canada and performs internationally, was eligible to receive the Kung Flu subsidy/unemployment benefit, even though Canada was giving her 2000 dollars Canadian, each month. And our law was written specifically to accommodate Americans working out of country. but she thought it would not be ethical to collect from two countries, and declined the money from the U.S. (I think we might have done something right, in rearing her.) On the other hand, Nigerian operatives scooped an estimated 50 million dollars in the first two weeks of Kung Flu emergency in the State of Washington unemployment funds. They apparently had been sitting on stacks of social security numbers and names, and acted quickly.

FTA: "Officials from the Government Accountability Office (GAO) and the U.S. Secret Service say improper accountability measures at the federal and state levels aided the fraud throughout the coronavirus pandemic." So it was discovered that state and federal agencies used "improper accountability measures" that "aided the fraud." Where did those "improper accountability measures" come from, and how did they end up in multiple government agencies...and remain there to facilitate the fleecing? And what is being done to hold the state and federal employees accountable for applying unapproved and improper "accountability measures" that ended up redistributing another 80 billion US dollars to foreign and domestic criminals?

Sorry #2, but in researching online discovered that Alexander Vindman and his Jewish family were all born in the Soviet Union. However, later on, due to increasing anti-Semitic persecution, they left when Alexander was only 4 and resettled in the US. He and his two brothers joined ROTC, and enrolled in SUNY Binghampton, where they enjoyed the discipline of military training. Alexander excelled in learning, becoming the highest-ranking expert on Ukraine. After all those accomplishments, he should've never been talked into testifying falsely, under oath, and in full uniform, against the sitting Commander-in-Chief, at that time, President Donald J. Fresh suspicion that Covid may have been tinkered with in a lab emerged today after scientists found genetic material owned by Moderna in the virus's spike protein. They identified a tiny snippet of code that is identical to part of a gene patented by the vaccine maker three years before the pandemic. It was discovered in SARS-CoV-2's unique furin cleavage site, the part that makes it so good at infecting people and separates it from other coronaviruses.(Snip)They claim there is a one-in-three-trillion chance Moderna's sequence randomly appeared through natural evolution. But there is some debate about whether the match is as rare

The source stressed that the coordinated nature of the departures was a sign of intense frustration with the direction of the case. According to the Times, the move came after District Attorney Alvin Bragg suggested to the attorneys that he had doubts about the case.
