Sunday was the final day of the 2022 Beijing Olympics and the overall numbers for how many people watched this year’s winter games were the worst ever for NBCUniversal.
The games, which started Feb. 4 and went through Sunday, averaged 11.4 million viewers across all of the network’s platforms in primetime, according to the Hollywood Reporter in a piece published Monday. Those numbers are down from the average number of 19.8 million who watched the games in 2018 in Pyeongchang, South Korea, the report noted. Not only were the average number of viewers down by 42%,

The Olympics is dead to me. I have zero interest in watching lefties play. It’s a political sham.

I didn't watch them either but my wife had them on every evening because they preempted her favorite shows. Go figure.

I guess I'm 2 for 2. Missed the NFL thug championship, with the BLM halftime show, and now I've missed the Wuhan Games. Shouldn't say missed, more like didn't watch, since I didn't really miss them. Life went on!

I tried to watch a couple of times...but the commentary was so orchestrated/heavy handed and there seemed to be a lack of the pageantry and excitement that I remember in earlier okympics. They were just too 'flat' to watch. The over the top gay ex-US male ice skater didn't help as one of their primary announcers.😒

The fixer-upper channel had a two week special during the Wolympics. It featured a remodeling of a basement and one got to watch our hours straight every night on prime time paint dry. Vastly more entertaining than the Wolympics.

We did watch curling and one event of downhill skiing. One thing I did notice this year is China managed to neuter all national identities this year. Hard to tell who was playing against whom. I did not like that at all.

I don't even read stories about the Olympics' low ratings, that's how little I watched.

The Olympics are near dead if TV can't sell it. The US has no rival since the Soviets left. The public doesn't care to watch snowboarders or alpine skiers they don't know from Adam or Eve. Figure skating on the male side is so fraught with homosexuality it ought to be folded into the womyn's. Virtually no one follows any of these sports/games. Wide World of Sports used to bring these odd-sport events into American homes each Saturday. No more...and no more interest in these "events".

Message sent by we the people. Stay away from woke and commies; we dont support it. I never watched a second this time around and winter olympics was the only televised sports i enjoyed in my life. But when the usa team and media was pro america and china with the usa help had not unleashed a bio attack for control of americans.

I used to look forward to the Olympics every 4 years when I was a kid and even into my middle years.
I watched about 7 minutes of curling this year. That's it. Get woke - go broke.

I have watched none of it, although I used to love to watch the downhill racers and the biathalon for the extremely difficult shooting/skiing mix. My wife recorded some of the curling, she enjoys that.
The ChiComs are evil, across the board. I won't support them.

My husband and I can proudly say that we did our fair share to keep those rating in the toilet by not watching a second of the Olympics.
I can remember being a young girl, and watching the Olympics when it was a bunch of patriotic amateur athletes competing for the pride of being a citizen of their countries. But now it is a bunch of uber lie-beral professional athletes competing for the highest bidder.
Nope, not going to be watching this ever again.

It's not really the Olympics. The Olympics are track and field events. Not figure skating and curling.

Sorry .. not sorry. Athletes should have placed country and principle ahead of personal goals.
I will also boycott products displaying or using the image of any of them. They need to be 'WOKEN' and stand up for America first.

When the Olympics are in the summer, there is Olympics merchandise in lots of places.
Maybe I've never noticed with regard to the winter Olympics, I haven't seen any Olympic merchandise.

Changed the channel nearly every time it came on. About 1/3 of the Olympic "sports" don't need to be included. For example, I like watching ski jumping and downhill racing, but snowboard acrobatics seems more performance art than competitive athletics. The mere fact that it's in China is a turn-off. I'm not "into" anything Asian--travel, tourism, movies, cuisine, music, history, art, literature--none of it. It's all "inscrutable" to me, and boring.

I've sworn off the NFL, but not the Olympics. Nevertheless, I really didn't watch much of it. I'm very busy, there's so much program to choose from everywhere look, and when the time came to switch on the Olympics, I had to decide if I wanted to watch the leftists at NBC stroke the communist Chinese government. Ultimately, I guess the answer was mostly, "no."
