They even call it the "Uptown Straw House." The walls are about 20 inches thick. Schmitt says it costs more to build a house like this but they'll save cash in heating and cooling bills along with cutting their carbon footprint.

Virginia Democratic gubernatorial candidate Terry McAuliffe's remarks about "diversity" and "inclusion" in schools, which he made in 2019, have resurfaced in the pivotal lead-up to Election Day on Nov. 2. “Elections have consequences and stolen elections have catastrophic consequences.” Steve Bannon, the former Chief Strategist for President Donald Trump, was the keynote speaker at the Pima County GOP Lincoln Day Dinner on Saturday night. Steve Bannon opened up with this: Let’s cut to the chase, Donald Trump’s victory in 2016 was providential. Right? Anybody here debate that? Donald Trump would be the first to admit, he’s not the “churchiest” guy in this country, but it was divine providence that worked through him for that victory in 2016… We had a man a message and a plan, and we won the greatest come-from-behind victory in the history of this country. Why?

Scientists are working to create a vaccine that could combat of all types of coronaviruses in an effort to potentially prevent the next pandemic. The La Jolla Institute for Immunology, in San Diego, California, has received a $2.6 million grant from the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases to work on their ambitious project to potentially prevent future pandemics. Researchers believe they could build on the research and development used to create the current crop of COVID-19 vaccines to prevent other similar viruses.(Snip)'Rather than having to constantly launch new vaccines… we need a single vaccine that's going to protect against SARS-CoV-2 variants and whatever

How do they do it? How do Democrats lie so effortlessly? They claim that there is no open border when we watch nonstop video of illegal immigrants crossing the Rio Grande and being welcomed by Border Patrol agents who put them on buses and planes to settle throughout the country. They claimed (and maybe still do!) that Hunter Biden’s laptop with incriminating evidence of illegal activity not just by Hunter but also by his father, Joe Biden, is Russian disinformation! Remember when Biden stared into the camera and barked that the disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan was an “extraordinary success”? Most recently, some of the worst lies have been emanating from Virginia,

During the 2020 election, Joe Biden positioned himself as the Democrat who could win the working class from President Donald Trump. “Joe from Scranton,” as the media affectionately calls him, was bringing normalcy back to the White House. I wrote last September that this characterization of the Syracuse law grad and lifelong politician was a sham: “Biden has built his career on being dishonest to working-class Americans,” I warned. Ten months into his presidency, and this has proven true. Trump may love a good show —”stay tuned!” — but it is Joe Biden who oversees the most inauthentic administration, one that is shockingly divorced from the lives of everyday Americans.

Taking to Twitter on Saturday, Dorsey wrote: 'Hyperinflation is going to change everything. It's happening.' Microsoft Corp. said the hackers behind the SolarWinds cyberattack are engaged in a fresh campaign to compromise global networks by targeting the tech supply chain, including resellers and providers of cloud technology. Microsoft attributes the coordinated attack, which was first observed in May, to a group called Nobelium, the same state-sponsored Russian hackers who used sophisticated intrusion techniques in 2020 to infect with malware as many as 18,000 customers of Texas-based software company SolarWinds Corp. More than 140 technology service providers and resellers have been notified as recent targets of the hackers and 14 of them are believed to have been compromised, Microsoft said in a blog

All over the world, great power governments are struggling with their respective tech giants for control of the social media platforms. China’s ongoing crackdown on big tech is the most conspicuous. “Take Jack Ma, founder of the e-commerce giant Alibaba.” The Party called the billionaire in, told him his forthcoming IPO was illegal, and served notice that any new initiatives would need the regulators’ approval. Russia’s not far behind. Moscow sees Google, Apple, Facebook, Twitter, and Amazon as a threat and wants them replaced by “sufficiently pliable domestic entities — such as Russia’s large tech conglomerates like Yandex, VK, and Sber.”

A national education group that implied some parental activism is tantamount to "domestic terrorism" owes nearly $20 million to the IRS, according to tax forms reviewed by Just the News. Most of that comes from "accrued pension liability," as disclosed by the National School Boards Association's 2017 and 2018 Form 990 filings. Unlike those two, the 2019 form — the most recently filed — does not include an itemized list under the federal income taxes subheading for "other liabilities."

The United Nations, awash in greenie ideology, has decided that now would be a good time to horn in on the state of Texas's internal energy production. For its own good, of course: NEW YORK — The leader of the United Nations says Texas must end its reliance on oil and gas production to remain prosperous in the era of climate change. At a UN summit next month, world leaders will be asked to rapidly cut greenhouse gas emissions in half by 2030. A vast increase in the production of renewable energy will be required to reach those targets.

When it comes to President Biden, are voters starting to have a serious case of buyers’ remorse? It sure looks that way. A new I&I/TIPP Poll limited to those who voted in the 2020 election shows former President Donald Trump sharply narrowing the gap between him and Biden and leading across most of the country if the election were held today. For all intents and purposes, based on current voter sentiment and the margin of error, it’s a virtual dead heat between Trump and Biden, with Trump having all the momentum. The data come from the October I&I/TIPP Poll

When Terry McAuliffe won the Democratic nomination for governor of Virginia, he probably expected to defeat Republican nominee Glenn Youngkin without breaking a sweat. McAuliffe is a former Virginia governor with decades of political experience and countless connections. Youngkin began the race with little political experience and less name recognition. Yet McAuliffe clearly is sweating the race, and for good reason. The polls show Youngkin surging to a tie with him and suggest that the Republican is making inroads among crucial voter blocs whose support McAuliffe can’t afford to lose. According to a Monmouth University poll published October 20, for example, Youngkin has gained considerable support among independents and women:

Sen. Paul was interviewed by Axios and mentioned a letter from the NIH to Ranking Member Rep. James Comer, R-Ky., that admitted to "limited experiment" conducted in order to test if "spike proteins from naturally occurring bat coronaviruses circulating in China were capable of binding to the human ACE2 receptor in a mouse model," which critics say contradict Fauci’s long-held claim.

New York City’s attempts to divorce itself from Donald Trump have turned into a comedy of errors — one that could end up sticking taxpayers with a not-so-funny $30 million bill. After the Jan. 6 Capitol riots, Mayor de Blasio vowed to rid the city of Trump. Aiming to become a hero to progressives, on Jan. 13 the mayor said he would yank the Trump Organization’s longtime concession contracts to operate the historic Central Park carousel, Wollman and Lasker skating rinks in the park, and the Trump Ferry Point Golf Course in The Bronx.

Dartmouth College Republicans hosted three up-and-coming conservative voices in an event Sunday night. Remarkably, all three of these articulate, patriotic voices are young (snip) But for the Dartmouth College Democrats, what united the three was their allegedly intolerable political views. Predictably, there was abundant vitriol. (snip) Dartmouth Democrats don’t want young Republicans to speak unless the roster is first approved by Democrats as acceptable (snip) The contrast was palpable: conservatives (of all ages) were unintimidated, and civil. Those bent on silencing others seethed with anger, displacing reason as well as issue analysis with nasty personal slurs.
