President Joe Biden jokingly told a group of elementary school students on Monday that one of his jobs as president is to "avoid" answering reporters' questions.
As he finished remarks in a classroom in New Jersey's East End Elementary, Biden stopped to point at the press in the back of the room and say, "As president, see all these people here, they're with you all the time."
"They get to ask you all kinds of questions, and you try to figure out how you’re gonna avoid answering them sometimes," Biden added, laughing.

Arizona’s attorney general on Friday filed a request for a temporary restraining order to stop the Biden administration implementing a controversial vaccine requirement as a lawsuit filed last month moves forward.
"Once a vaccine has been administered, it can never be undone," Attorney General Mark Brnovich said in a statement announcing the move. "The COVID-19 vaccine mandate is one of the greatest infringements upon individual liberty, federalism, and the separation of powers by any administration in our country’s history."

What do the theories of Friedrich Hayek have to do with our current supply crisis, with container ships piling up on the coast of California?
Well, let’s see.
Hayek, an Austrian economist, is best known for his book, The Road to Serfdom, in which he expresses his deep concern about the spread of socialism and the resultant threat to economic independence and freedom in general.
It is the work of Hayek, after he took a position at the University of Chicago, that sparked the movement known as the “Chicago school” of economics. Names associated with the movement include Milton Friedman and George Stigler.

Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot appears to have violated both local and state mask mandates at the WNBA finals in the Windy City.
The Chicago Sky clinched the WNBA title over the Phoenix Mercury at home Sunday with Lightfoot and fans packing Wintrust Arena for the final game.
After the Sky took the title, Lightfoot posted a picture online of her celebrating without a mask among legions of masked fans — going against her own city’s mask mandate.
In fact, Lightfoot's maskless gallivanting skirted both the Chicago local ordinance as well as Illinois’ statewide mask mandate.

A Canadian judge is ordering a Christian pastor to speak about what the judge claims is the scientific consensus of “medical experts,” compelling speech as a sentence for violating Canada’s draconian mask and coronavirus state of emergency laws. Pastor Artur Pawlowski and his brother Dawid were sentenced this week for inciting citizens to violate Canada’s coronavirus obedience laws, having been previously convicted of contempt of court in an Alberta Court. The second any scientific theory is ordered as a mandatory belief on the part of the state, it ceases being legitimate scientific inquiry and becomes a religion in its own right. CORRECTION*

This really isn’t a “new” story because it’s been going on for quite a while now, though you wouldn’t know it based on the paucity of mainstream media coverage it receives. The subject is Walgreens and the chain of drug stores they operate in California. The huge pharmacy chain has been slowly shutting down its stores across the state, most commonly in the San Francisco area. The reason for the closures isn’t a lack of business. It’s a popular outlet that still draws plenty of customers.

In today’s chaotic political landscape, it is obvious that the Democrat Party in power is comprised largely of far-left radicals, many of them shockingly anti-American and predictably anti-Semitic (as are all deranged leftists).
After all, with Barack Obama, they thought they were significantly closer to their 100-year goal of a socialist-cum-communist America, and believed that “President” Hillary would fulfill their cherished fantasy.
And then along came President Trump to smash that fantasy to smithereens.
When everything the Democrats tried to sabotage President Trump with failed––the Russian hoax, the Ukraine hoax, the Stormy Daniels hoax, the impeachment fiascos, on and on––

West Virginia Democrat Sen. Joe Manchin said Wednesday that "nothing’s changing" when it comes to his stance on the workings of the filibuster – suggesting Democratic attempts to raise the debt ceiling could again be thwarted.
Senate Democrats are facing mounting pressure to increase the nation’s debt threshold by Oct. 18, amid concern from the Biden administration that the U.S. could default on financial obligations.
Republicans in the upper chamber, who have already voted twice against raising the U.S. debt limit, are expected to block another vote Wednesday.
Earlier this week, reports showed Democrats were considering changing chamber rules to create an exception

Another reminder that few politicians in American history have ever cared less about being reelected than Cheney does right now.
But it’s also an odd comment considering that Milley’s been at pains to say — publicly, at least — that he didn’t do anything unusual during the post-election period while Trump was busy trying to overturn the election. My calls with China’s top general were routine and were known to my civilian superiors in the administration, he said yesterday before a Senate committee. My meeting with subordinates about the nuclear chain of command was proper as the president’s top military advisor, which places me in the chain of communication, he maintained.

The New York Times published an opinion essay on Tuesday that imagined new designs for the American flag, some of which emphasized divisions and decline in the country.
"The American flag is a potent piece of national iconography, but its design shifted frequently until the early 1900s. What if it were redesigned today? We asked artists and graphic designers to try," the Times wrote. "Some are functional designs, others artistic renderings; some represent America as it could be, others how the artist sees the country now."

A former FedEx employee is out of a job after posting a profanity-laced rant on TikTok in which he vowed never to deliver packages to the homes of people who support, President Joe Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris, or Black Lives Matter. The employee, identified as Vincent Paterno, posted the video on TikTok on Sept. 16. In the video, he appears to be seated in a delivery truck.
"What's up TikTok," Paterno says while wearing his FedEx uniform. "Just wanted to come on here and let all you know, [I]f you have a Joe Biden, Kamala

High school football players in Tennessee led parents and fans in prayer after the local school district prohibited teachers and coaches from leading students in prayer.
"Satan’s power was defeated tonight, as the threat of a legal action to forbid prayer after the game was overwhelmed by player lead prayer supported by parents and fans in solidarity on Overall Field. God bless the Baxter and Stone players for their faith and courage," an alum of Putnam County Schools and fan of local football, Bob Vick, wrote in the caption of a Facebook post showing the photo, which has now gotten thousands of interactions on social media.
