The FDA is meeting on October 26th to give advice to parents on vaccination for children ages 5-12 and the Biden administration is poised to roll out vaccines for this age group for COVID-19. Is this a good idea and what information do parents need to make this decision for their kids? (snip) For ages 0-19, the survival rate is 99.9973%. This means that for age 0-19 there will be one death for every 37,000 infections (snip) For age 12-17 there have been 22 deaths and 21,000 adverse events reported. In the late teens and twenties, 111 deaths have occurred

Dartmouth College Republicans hosted three up-and-coming conservative voices in an event Sunday night. Remarkably, all three of these articulate, patriotic voices are young (snip) But for the Dartmouth College Democrats, what united the three was their allegedly intolerable political views. Predictably, there was abundant vitriol. (snip) Dartmouth Democrats don’t want young Republicans to speak unless the roster is first approved by Democrats as acceptable (snip) The contrast was palpable: conservatives (of all ages) were unintimidated, and civil. Those bent on silencing others seethed with anger, displacing reason as well as issue analysis with nasty personal slurs.

Bryson Gray, a rapper and Trump supporter, recorded a rap song called “Let’s Go Brandon” (not to be confused with Loza Alexander’s hip-hop chart-topping “Let’s Go Brandon” song). Gray’s song was doing well on the charts so, two days ago, YouTube figured out a way to remove it. It claimed that the song contains medical misinformation. Aside from being untrue, YouTube managed to take the song from being well-ish-known and turned it into a massive hit. Talk about a censorship fail.
To be honest, because I’m not a fan of rap, I hadn’t heard of Bryson Gray before now. This is an important point because I’m not the only one.

You’ve probably already seen the viral video from Yuma, Arizona, where a Marine Corps veteran stopped an armed, black-clad pair of robbers attempting to rob a convenience store. He appears to be acting instinctively, a guardian of the rest of us, heedless of his personal risk, just as when he wore the uniform of the USMC. Yesterday, he was on Fox News and was interviewed by Dana Perino, who spoke for many of us when she said she’d like to buy him a beer.
What followed was not what she expected.

Now that I am seven episodes in, I feel confident saying that “Impeachment: American Crime Story,” airing Tuesday evenings on FX, is the fairest and arguably the best real-life political drama Hollywood has ever produced. What mystifies me is that no one on the Right appears to be talking about it.
The third in the “American Crime Story” series, this 10-part drama faithfully tracks the perjury and obstruction of justice scandal that very nearly ended the Bill Clinton presidency. (snip) “Impeachment” takes candor a step further and deconstructs the Left’s revisionist history of Bill Clinton’s “sex” scandal.

There have been a number of suggestions, from the conservative press as much as elsewhere, that we should go easy on poor Alec Baldwin concerning the terrible “accident” that resulted in a “tragedy” at his New Mexico filming location.
No, we should not. It was not an accident, and it is not a tragedy.
There a four primary rules of firearms handling, codified many years ago by firearms expert Jeff Cooper. Everyone serious about firearms has long ago (snip) It seems clear that Baldwin ignored every last one of these.

The Vice President of the United States spoke yesterday at the brand-new Northeast Bronx YMCA, promoting the so-called infrastructure bill that actually would transform the economy into dependence on unreliable “green” power and the populace into unsustainable financial dependence on borrowed money from the US Treasury.
But forget about the substance, bad as it is, and focus on her behavior at the podium, which was, frankly, bizarre enough to suggest something is deeply wrong.
Watch her arms in this clip. It’s only 26 seconds long, so I recommend watching it first with the sound off. Watching a second time with the sound on does nothing the ameliorate the utter weirdness

Last night, CNN held an invitation-only “town hall” for Biden in Baltimore. The audience was beyond friendly, the questions were obviously vetted, and Anderson Cooper was there to hold Biden’s hand. And still, as the RNC’s Twitter feed reveals, Biden repeatedly showcased his weirdness, incipient dementia, inability to lead, and sheer heartlessness. No wonder only 27% of likely voters are confident that Brandon...er, Biden is up to the job. (snip) At one point, Biden spoke out loud what everyone else was thinking: “What am I doing here?” he asked. He was trying to remember “Long Beach,” a name that should be at the forefront of his brain

Preliminarily, it is tragic that 42-year-old Halyna Hutchins, a rising cinematographer in Hollywood, died yesterday on the set of Rust, a movie being filmed in Santa Fe, New Mexico. My thoughts are with the loved ones she left behind. Having said that, I cannot escape a feeling that karma had a hand in this one because the finger on the trigger of the gun that killed Hutchins belonged to Alec Baldwin, a hysterical leftist who is fanatically opposed to the Second Amendment.
To give a sense of Baldwin’s hostility to gun rights, in 2018, the smug and constitutionally illiterate Baldwin had some harsh words for Dana Loesch, an NRA spokeswoman

I find myself in the position that I must use an alias for fear of reprisal. Those days may be quickly coming to an end, as hospitals are denying requests for vaccine exemptions with impunity. I will likely soon be out the door, with nothing to lose. Even if I survive this round, if the “pandemic” continues, it won’t be long before I am shelved (snip) Doctors need to be called out. From early in the pandemic, it was like a mass hypnosis or forgetfulness of everything we had learned in medical school. Immune system knowledge was shelved and replaced by government dictates.

Gosh, has anyone ever really believed in Equality™?
The Queensland Suns won the Nissan State under-18 netball tournament last month, and the wrath of many, by easily defeating seven other teams. The issue? The Suns are sons — not daughters like the rest of their competitors.
Netball is a variation on basketball played in many Commonwealth countries. The game also apparently doesn't have many male competitors in Australia, which is why the Suns were allowed to compete with the lasses. As Netball Queensland, the organization running the Nissan tournament, stated, it was choosing "inclusion over exclusion."

The great general Colin Powell died this week from COVID complications. He was fully vaccinated. At his age, any illness could have taken his life, yet if the vaccine was truly as effective as the experts say it is, surely General Powell should not have been infected with COVID. (snip) General Powell’s vaccine was of no use against COVID. He submitted to experimental gene therapy in the hopes that it would protect him, and it did nothing for him. That hasn’t stopped the experts from proclaiming General Powell’s death as next door to proof that the vaccines are working.
