The Supreme Court is allowing nationwide enforcement of a new Trump administration rule that prevents most Central American immigrants from seeking asylum in the United States.
The justices’ order late Wednesday temporarily undoes a lower-court ruling that had blocked the new asylum policy in some states along the southern border. The policy is meant to deny asylum to anyone who passes through another country on the way to the U.S. without seeking protection there.
Most people crossing the southern border are Central Americans fleeing violence and poverty. They are largely ineligible under the new rule, as are asylum seekers from Africa, Asia and South America who arrive regularly at the southern border.

In 2011 there was a massive tornado outbreak in the Southeast United States. The events killed over 300 people. That same year during an EF5 tornado in Joplin, Missouri an additional 161 people died. By all measures, the Weather Service did a brilliant job predicting, forecasting and issuing warnings for the storms. They had nailed the forecasts.

Supreme Court Justice Neil Gorsuch said he believes that the American people should not want him or his colleagues to rule the country, but should rather have the "battle of ideas" play out in the political arena.

A suspect was in custody after multiple stabbings in an industrial area of Florida’s capital city, authorities said Wednesday.
The Tallahassee Police Department said in an online news release that they were called to an industrial area in the city for a stabbing Wednesday morning.
When they arrived, they found multiple people with stab wounds. The stabbing victims required immediate medical attention, according to police.
No further details were immediately given.
The stabbing took place at Dyke Industries, according to the police. The business distributes residential and commercial building supplies, such as doors and windows, according to the company’s website. A company representative didn’t immediately return a request for comment.
A federal appeals court on Tuesday temporarily rolled back the nationwide injunction preventing the Trump Administration’s asylum ban – requiring any migrants passing through Central America to seek asylum in one the nations they pass through before applying in the U.S. from taking effect.
In response to a “Renewed Emergency Motion” submitted by the Justice Department, the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals issued an administrative order granting the government’s request to stay the nationwide injunction put in place Monday night by U.S. District Court Judge Jon Tigar of California. Tigar reasoned that a nationwide injunction was necessary because of the need to “maintain uniform immigration policy.”

President Trump’s newly-enacted policy of denying asylum to illegal aliens who first passed through another country prior to entering America has been re-implemented, as per a report from Politico.
U.S. District Court Judge Jon Tigar of San Francisco has ordered a nationwide injunction on the policy, which would require immigrants to seek asylum in the first country that they entered after leaving their home countries.
However, the Trump Administration requested a stay on the injunction, which was ultimately granted by the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals. This now limits the injunction to only states that are within the 9th Circuit, while the policy can now be enforced in all other states.

Arizona Department of Public Safety detectives arrested one of their own troopers Tuesday on charges of sexual abuse, extortion, kidnapping, harassment and fraud, AZDPS Col. Frank Milstead said at a news conference.
Tremaine Jackson, 43, an AZDPS trooper for about 13 years, used his position of authority to "bargain leniency for favor," Milstead said.

Secret Service arrested Chris Grant, a 50-year-old victim of the El Paso, Texas, shooting who was hailed a hero after claiming to have thrown bottles at the shooter, according to law enforcement officials who spoke to the Washington Examiner.
Grant, a survivor of the deadly August 3 shooting in El Paso, was honored by the White House for his alleged acts of heroism during the deadly shooting rampage, which took the lives of 22 and injured over two dozen more. Grant, in an interview with CNN’s Chris Cuomo, recalled how he threw bottles at the shooter before getting shot himself.
Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) schooled leftist actress Alyssa Milano on Tuesday during a gun control debate, arguing that America should do more to combat gun violence but without infringing upon Americans’ right to bear arms.
Cruz and Milano agreed to hold a “civil” debate last week on gun control.
