The September 11, 2001 attacks were the result of an unmitigated intelligence failure. No, 9/11 was not an “inside job,” as many conspiracy theorists believe. Osama bin Laden and his al-Qaeda network were responsible. But, the 9/11 plot did not happen in a vacuum.
In reality, America’s elephantine national security state had known of bin Laden and his network years before the horrific events of 9/11. Some of the most powerful people in the national security state routinely downplayed and ignored the threat al-Qaeda posed to the United States before 19 hijackers murdered 2,911 people in New York, Washington, and Pennsylvania.

The "Intelligence" Services have all been taking a huge hit lately and it's well deserved. The failures are huge. It seems to me that we did much better in the seventies and eighties than we are doing now. We can't blame the technology, which is superb, so the only answer is the people. Between Clinton, Bush and Obama they have hired a bunch of complete dunces. Third party contractors may have been cost effective but they have burned us more than once. It goes without saying, Brennan was one of the chief dunces. It's cleanup time.

Weichert does not leave it there:
More troubling, though, is the fact that many of the same people who downplayed or ignored the threat of 9/11 and al-Qaeda were also intimately involved in nearly every foreign policy disaster of the last 18 years—from the Iraq War blunder to the inexcusable plot to frame President Donald Trump as a Russian agent. (Snip)
The enduring failures of the national security state—from its inability to anticipate 9/11 in spite of clear warning signs, to advocating boneheaded Mideast policies—can be plotted in the career paths of individual members of the so-called deep state.
Consider John Brennan. Here is a man who was a self-described Communist when he joined the CIA in the Reagan Administration, at the height of Cold War against the Soviet Union. A supposed expert in U.S. foreign policy toward the Middle East, as well as a fluent Arabic speaker, Brennan eventually rose to the rank of CIA station chief in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia (where he may or may not have converted to Islam).

It's important to always tell people that it was NOT the fault of the airport security checkpoints that were operated by contract services at the time. They operated by the book, but the Federal agencies never bothered to put the terrorists on a watch list available to the airport screeners. It didn't take John McVain long to get his face in the cameras and demand the Federal government taking over security screening to prevent another such event. Airport security wasn't even the root cause of the problem(!), but McPain had an immediate government solution in his police-state hands. It's time we go back to allowing airports and airlines own the issue with security and disband the TSA.

We'll never know the complete story since Sandy Berger stole the National Archive documents which spelled out the Brennan and Clinton mistakes. He stole them and shredded them and got away with it. I hope they hang this Russian Conspiracy theory on Brennan and Hillary and throw them both in jail.

I will forever blame Bubba Clinton for 9/11 since he passed on 3 chances to get bin Laden. On one of those lost opportunities, he was too busy playing golf to be bothered. There’s a reason why both Clintons managed to get “The Path to 9/11” pulled off the air.

9/11 - a gift from the Clinton years. They gave us the rising Chinese, the terrorist threats we face daily, the corruption of the Clinton Money Laundering Foundation, and of course the body count that continues to grow of those who ever trusted them.
I’ll never have anything good to say about any of the evil slime in that family, including the spawn of the PIAPS.

The swiss cheese immigration policy this country has also contributed to these terrorists coming here and taking flight lessons. Add in the red flags that these flight schools contacted authorities about these terrorists not being interested in how to land a plane. The whole SEE SOMETHING, SAY SOMETHING seems useless if those in charge don't DO SOMETHING. The attack on Pearl Harbor was no different. Those paying attention told those in charge that the Japanese were up to something. The authorities ignored those signs too.

Little trivia, but it's not like the Bin Laden family was an unknown terror source.
Syria used the Bin Laden construction firm in the early 1960s to build a giant water diversion system to deprive Lake Kinneret (aka "Sea of Galilee") of fresh water -- at the time, the lake supplied something like 90% of Israel's fresh water. The Israelis bombed the giant plant, thwarting the plan.
Long way of saying, if we didn't know that family was up to something, we should have.

Although his support for Islam didn't help, it wasn't just Brennan and I disagree that it was an "intelligence" failure. The entire Clinton administration worked overtime putting up barriers to keep actual intelligence issues from being worked as intel issues by labeling them as criminal issues and refusing to let both sides work together or share data. Her name escapes me, but one advisor in particular put up the most damaging barriers. And George Tenet should have been fired, if not shot by Bush for allowing it to continue.

Brennan should be the first Washington bureaucrat to be hanged in public, followed by Berger!

.... and it isn't as though the idea of airliners being flown in to skyscrapers wasn't thought of before 9/11. Steven King wrote "The Running Man" in 1982, and it was made in to a movie in 1987, with Arnold. At the end of the story, an airliner is purposely flow in to a tall building.
Then there was the Bojinka plot, planned by terrorists Ramzi Yousef and Khalid Sheikh Mohammed for January 1995. They planned to assassinate Pope John Paul II, blow up 11 airliners in flight from Asia to the United States, and crash a plane into CIA headquarters. If we hadn't had traitors such as Brennan, Gorelick, the Clintons, and Berger running around selling out the U.S. to their co-conspirators for cash and influence, 9/11 could never have happened.

I expect nothing from the intel agencies, or the police or the military. If they do manage to protect me I am grateful, but expect it? No.
Besides, the agency that can protect you from all evil can also provide that evil. As we have seen recently, all the laws in the world will not protect you from someone who knows he will not be punished for breaking them.
