AOC reveals her student loan balance and

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez made a payment towards her student loan debt during a committee meeting and called on Congress to take swift action on the issue. “I literally made a student loan payment while I was sitting here at this chair, and I looked at my balance and it was $20,237.16 (£16,410.62),” the New York Democrat said at a meeting of the financial services committee focusing on student debt. “I just made a payment that took me down to $19,000 (£15,412),” she added, “so I feel really accomplished right now.”(Snip) Democrats like Ilhan Omar and Bernie Sanders have also called on Congress

AOC the lazy fool says we need to pay off her student loans because, like, she learned nothing all about economics at school other than to be qualified as a barmaid or a Woman of Color in the US Congress.

Maybe she shouldn't have racked up all of that debt. Go to a community college or technical college. Better yet, take a smaller load while working. Some of us have had to do both.

Why student loans? Most Americans don't benefit from that. HOw does me paying for student loans help me pay for my kids'college? Or benefit me at work? Now paying of house loans or car loans is a more diverse way to waste money. Honestly, I get nothing from this moron's education. She deosn't represent me or help me in any way. Same is true for all current and recent college grads. Education isn't for society, its for the individual. WE as a society pay for eduction form pre-K through 12th grade. The next four years should be an investment the individual makes. We paid for 12+ years already.

Any institution that issued a degree to that idiot should have to refund the tuition, and then they should be investigated for fraud. A balance of $20K is about what a car note would be. She borrowed the money, she must pay it back!!! Period!!! She could have worked and gone to a nice public college. If she played it smart, she could have graduated with no debt. My kids did just that, and they have great careers and had no debt when they graduated. Instead she went to Boston University, an expensive private college!!! That was her choice, and now she needs to pay back the loans she took out to pay for that!!!

Both Republicans who Donald Trump endorsed won their special congressional elections Tuesday night in North Carolina, delivering the president a symbolic victory as his re-election season gets underway. The two contests, months in the making, were seen as referenda on whether the president could hold on to majorities in red states that propelled him to the Oval Office. Republican Greg Murphy won his Third Congressional District handily, holding on to a seat left vacant when Rep. Walter Jones died in February. The other race, a more hotly contested Ninth Congressional District battle, was a dead heat in the final pre-election polls.

The first is the realization that Texas is now lost. The second is that this loss is due entirely to the changing demographics resulting from legal and illegal immigration. The five congressmen that have resigned are Bill Flores (17th), Will Hurd (23rd), Pete Olson (22nd), Kenny Marchant (24th), and Mike Conaway (11th). As night follows day, Trump administration critics blamed the tax cuts. And once again, the data prove them wrong. The CBO report says that the federal deficit reached $1.067 by the end of August. That’s up $168 billion from the comparable period in fiscal year 2018. The deficit this year will be larger than the entire budget was in 1987. Where did the increase come from? Why, tax cuts, of course.
