An Egyptian court has sentenced 11 Muslim Brotherhood leaders to life in prison on charges of espionage with the Palestinian militant group Hamas. They included the Brotherhood's supreme guide Mohamed Badie and his deputy Khairat al-Shater who were both handed life sentences - 25 years in Egypt. (Snip) The defendants were accused of "committing crimes in collaboration with foreign organisations" namely Hamas and the Lebanese Shiite militant group Hezbollah, the source said. They were also accused of "financing terrorism" and committing acts undermining the country's stability and security.

Comments:

Mr. President. On this solemn remembrance day for America on 9/11, please declare the Muslim Brotherhood a terrorist organization. Why you haven't, nor sanctioned them , including here in the US, belies a promise you made previously to do so. Hamas has already been designated. Is CAIR that powerful? Put a wooden stake in their heart. Bueller?

A chick adopted by a pair of lesbian penguins will be raised gender-neutral by its keepers. The infant will be raised neither male nor female at London's Sea Life centre, where the family are kept. It's the first time the aquarium has had a non-binary animal, which comes four months after same-sex gentoo parents, Rocky and Marama, acquired the offspring. If eventually the penguin gets named, it will be given a gender-neutral name such as Kelly, Alex or Charlie, according to staff at Sea Life London.

Iran’s Foreign Minister, Mohammad Javad Zarif, said on Monday that Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu “cries wolf” after Netanyahu revealed that Tehran had been developing nuclear weapons at a secret site. “The possessor of real nukes cries wolf,” Zarif tweeted, in a reference to Israel’s own presumed nuclear arsenal. “He & #B_Team just want a war, no matter innocent blood & another $7 TRILLION. Remember his “GUARANTEE” of "positive reverberations" in ’02? This time, he assuredly won’t be on the sidelines watching,” added the Iranian Foreign Minister. A married man who died of a heart attack after having sex on a business trip in France was ruled to have been the victim of a workplace accident — making his company financially responsible, according to reports. Engineer Xavier X was found dead in his hotel room in Meung-sur-Loire shortly after having sex with a local woman he’d just met, according to the Times of London. Lawyers for his bosses at the Parisian railroad construction company TSO insisted he was not performing duties when he had the heart attack — blaming the “adulterous sex act that he had had with a complete stranger,” according to the report.

Washington - Federal health authorities on Monday blasted vaping giant Juul for illegally pitching its electronic cigarettes as a safer alternative to smoking and ordered the company to stop making unproven claims for its products. The Food and Drug Administration also upped its scrutiny of a number of key aspects of Juul’s business, telling the company to turn over documents on its marketing, educational programs and nicotine formula. The FDA action increases the legal pressure on the nation’s best-selling vaping company, which has been besieged by scrutiny from state and federal officials since a recent surge in underage vaping.

In his latest dramatic revelation on Iran’s nuclear program, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Monday exposed the existence of a secret nuclear facility in central Iran in which he said the regime had conducted experiments in the pursuit of nuclear weapons. The reveal, made possible by Israel’s raid on a secret nuclear warehouse in Tehran last year, indicates a clear violation of the Islamic Republic’s commitments under the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons, of which it is a signatory. “Today, we’re revealing that yet another secret nuclear site was exposed in the archives that we brought from Tehran.

Seoul - North Korea is willing to restart talks with the United States in late September over its nuclear programme, a senior North Korean diplomat said on Monday, following a protracted deadlock since a failed summit in February. North Korean leader Kim Jong Un had set a year-end deadline in April for the United States to show more flexibility and agreed with U.S. President Donald Trump to reopen working-level talks when they met again in June, but that has not happened. The latest overture came from Vice North Korean Foreign Minister Choe Son Hui, who said Pyongyang was willing to have “comprehensive discussions” with the United States

As far as far-left ideas go, this one about cannibalism and climate change just takes the cake. Talk about the eww factor. This guy’s whacked. That’s all there is to it. Soderland, a behavioral scientist and marketing strategist, brought forth the idea in a talk bluntly titled, “Can you Imagine Eating Human Flesh?” Umm, no. Not without gagging, that is.

Early Monday morning, Donald Trump tweeted: “94% Approval Rating in the Republican Party, a record. Thank you!” Where the president got this specific number remains a mystery. Recent polls by YouGov put his GOP approval roughly ten points lower, and Gallup, which has tracked Trump’s popularity since he took office, puts him at 88 percent. But I suppose we shouldn’t be surprised that Trump used his Sharpie to round up his score. He’s deeply invested in being — or at least claiming to be — the most popular Republican president in history.

This is the time for President Trump to deprive his enemies of the last weapon that could be employed against him that could cause him any harm: the largely false, but still troublesome, issue of his personality and routine behavior. Other lines of attack have come to naught: Collusion with Russia, accusations of racism provoking outbursts of mass murder (by uttering “racially charged statements,” in the inadvertently Orwellian words of CNN’s most witless talking head, Don Lemon), the verbal recession confected by the world-renowned economists of CNN and MSNBC, all of it has collapsed. Mayor Pete Buttigieg ought to crack open the Bible, turn to Psalm 139, and read how God formed humans “fearfully and wonderfully” — and after, take a second look at his views on abortion and repent, said his brother-in-law, Rhyan Glezman, an evangelical pastor from Michigan, on Fox News. Good advice. It is a curiosity how a self-declaring Christian can still stand strong on the side of abortion rights. This is what Buttigieg said a few days ago on a “Breakfast Club” radio interview: “Right now, [conservatives] hold everybody in line with this one piece of doctrine about abortion, which is obviously a tough issue
