President Donald Trump is reportedly fed up with the homeless camps that dot the California landscape and wants to move the residents into some form of transitional housing.
The camps are not only an eyesore but contribute to lawlessness. The problem has intensified over the summer and Trump is apparently ready to move beyond criticizing the state’s lack of response to proving solutions, sources told the Washington Post Tuesday. Those sources did not say what exactly the administration would do and did not care to speculate whether California and municipal governments would be anxious to collaborate with a president who has consistently blamed them for the homelessness plight in the state.

Why not just shut down Kaliphornia? You can't walk the side walks, educate your children, sleep safely at night and the rule of law is a outrageous joke.

Amazing . . . one of those "horrible Republicans" . . . the actual leader of the Republican Party . . . the hated-by-the-Left Donald Trump . . . HE is the one who wants to find affordable housing for homeless folks. And he wants to do it in states -- like California -- that will NEVER give him one electoral vote.
How can that be? I thought only Democrats cared about people -- that's what we are told anyway. Their policies say otherwise. So do the millions of unborn babies they've chucked into medical waste incinerators.

This is not just an eyesore problem. It is a public health issue. These so-called camps are breeding grounds for diseases that can and will be transmitted to the public at large. Simply put, it is lawlessness by the local and state government's of California. Trump has the executive authority to act to remedy the situation. It's not a state problem; it's a national problem.

Trump will fix another problem caused by the Democrats. California is being ruined by the Democrats, and Newsom is more ignorant and arrogant than Moonbeam. I thought it would be impossible to find someone worse than Moonbeam, but Ca. did it. Very remarkable!

Interesting #3 I was about to say the opposite. It's a state problem. But I can see your point. It become nation when people from other states are affected or shall I say infected by California. I would favor the federal government say in its lane and get out of my life. How about travel restrictions, special inoculations, holding quarantine zones. We should treat them like any other third world blank hole. Then California can decide if they made the right choice choosing cool over cash.

How about moving the residents of homeless camps back to their families?

So, now the rest of us will have to pay for California's mess. I think it's a state issue. California governing officials have given the rest of US the finger; why help them rule and get re-elected by cleaning up their messes? The President has consistently blamed them for their state's plight, so they won't work with him? Who's fault is it, if not theirs? His? Right, what was I thinking? That's exactly how they'll transform the argument. PDT comes in with solutions to fix things, and they'll transfer the blame of those things over to him. I give up.

I disagree. It is entirely a state problem. To say it is federal because it affects other states is the same reasoning that got us the horrible interstate commerce clause decision. There is already too much federal authority. Lets not give them any more.
Second, helping the homeless is a bad idea. Been there, done that. If you give them a place to live they will never leave. They will lie, steal and fight to keep it and ruin it in the process. When you finally do get rid of them, they will just build another camp like the one you spent millions to get rid of. They have chosen to be unproductive, lazy, addicted or whatever and they will hate you for trying to make them otherwise.

If a democrat did this, we would rightfully accuse he/she/xi of buying votes with tax payer dollars. In Trump's case, its probably because he's sick snd tired of the mess and any additional votes is a bonus.
That said...... he should go to Califoria and shine the biggest spotlights in G_d's creation on this mess, make the democrats own it, and then make moves to alleviate the problem. This could be a winning issue for Trump and Republicans in California.

If illegals were not filling millions of homes and vacation rentals were taxed as hotels that they are, there might be more housing available for citizens and legals.

Nope !! Stay out of it !! It's a state problem. This is what they voted for. Let them get it good and HARD !! If we bail out California, Washington state will be next. I say this as someone who has a son who lives in California. He loves California. He lives near San Diego. For now, it's not as crazy as the rest of the state but it will get there.

The Dems(Pelosi & Company) should be quaking in their boots so to speak, now that POTUS Trump is apparently getting involved in a solution to Frisco's and other Dem Cities Homeless Debacles? POTUS Trump, being a builder, can build housing for the Homeless/Poor at a discount price and solve the problem the Dems are inadequate at solving themselves? Remember POTUS Trump's Jerusalem Embassy that he got built for peanuts, as compared to what the actual estimates really were? POTUS Trump can/will get the job done!

I'm with #9. Trump is president of all 50 states. I also think he will be campaigning hard for CA, OR and WA. These states are the poster children for "progressive" policies. They are the "utopia" promised by Dim politicians. They are also populated by a significant number of people who have given up voting after decades of Uniparty betrayals from both wings. For decades the political "wisdom" is that the Dims own these states and only brain-dead people live there. Trump knows the truth; there is a pent-up cold anger at what has been done to our states. Dims only have 30% registration in CA; the people don't back them but we've been disenfranchised with their jungle primary and vote harvesting. President Trump is just beginning to bring the spotlight of national attention to the dysfunction offered by the Dims. After the homeless there are many targets; environmentalism, over regulation and high taxation. Should The Donald hold rallies in California it will be a political earthquake off the Richter Scale.
MAGA - Its for all 50 states.

Dont waste taxpayer money in Calizuela. Let them stew and rot in their own socialist sewage. Let them serve as an example.
