With the latest news that Iran shot down a United States Navy drone, it shows that President Trump was right all along. The Iranian regime cannot be trusted, and appeasement was never a practical or realistic solution. When President Trump announced the American withdrawal from the nuclear deal last year, his political opponents loudly criticized his strategy, arguing that the agreement signed under President Obama was the only way to contain Iranian nuclear ambitions. Since then, however, Iran has demonstrated that the skepticism that President Trump has held of the appeasement policy of his predecessor was in fact entirely justified.

Attorneys for Hunter Biden confirmed to ABC News that Biden remains in his position despite questions about his role at a Chinese investment fund.
Hunter Biden traveled to China with his father in 2013, and his firm formed a $1.5 billion joint venture with the Chinese government called Bohai Harvest RST. Hunter serves on the board of the company.

Recent caravans of foreign nationals included more than 1,500 previously deported convicted criminal illegal aliens, nearly 30 of which were convicted of sex crimes, federal officials say.
U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) data provided to the House Oversight and Reform Committee this week reveal that two recent caravans of about 11,300 nationals that flooded the United States-Mexico border in October 2018 and January 2019 included about 1,520 previously deported illegal aliens who had been convicted of crimes in the U.S.

The Trump – Pence campaign set a $7 million fundraising goal for the day of the President’s Election 2020 announcement in Orlando, Fla. In a fundraising memo to supporters, President Trump writes:

The gap between Texas’ Hispanic and white populations continued to narrow last year when the state gained almost nine Hispanic residents for every additional white resident.
With Hispanics expected to become the largest population group in Texas as soon as 2022, new population estimates released Thursday by the U.S. Census Bureau showed the Hispanic population climbed to nearly 11.4 million — an annual gain of 214,736 through July 2018 and an increase of 1.9 million since 2010.
The white population, meanwhile, grew by just 24,075 last year. Texas still has a bigger white population — up to 11.9 million last year — but it has only grown by roughly 484,000 since 2010.

SAN DIEGO — A Navy SEAL testifying in the chase of Chief Edward Gallagher, who is accused of several war crimes including murdering a wounded ISIS fighter and shooting civilians, says it was he, not Gallagher, who killed the ISIS teen, the San Diego Union-Tribune reports.
The SEAL reportedly testified under an immunity agreement. He claimed that while Gallagher stabbed the fighter, he covered the teen’s breathing tube, asphyxiating the prisoner.

The almost comical thing about the U.S. is that most people persist in believing
House Democrats passed an appropriations bill Wednesday that includes a measure that would block Donald Trump from using the 2001 Authorization for Use of Military Force to go to war with Iran as tensions with Tehran continue to rise.
The 11-line measure, approved as part of a nearly $1 trillion appropriations bill that includes funding for the military, health programs and the Energy Department, will likely be struck down in the Republican-controlled Senate.
It's reasonable to anticipate that Mitch McConnell, the Senate Majority Leader, would not send the version of this bill to the president's desk – especially since it takes away power from the presidency.
House Democrats thought they had an easy issue for rallying the black vote: bringing up reparations for slavery as an election issue and holding congressional hearings. What better way to rally coveted black voters than to hold out a big pile of reparations money along with lot of talk about victimization derived from evils committed in the past?
It didn't work out the way they thought it would.

Robert Mueller turned in a disgraceful performance as Special Counsel, allowing himself and his staff to be used as a tool of the Democratic Party. He knew from an early stage that the core of what he was supposed to be investigating–“collusion”–did not exist. But he plowed forward, hoping to ensnare members of the Trump campaign or administration in process crimes. Meanwhile, he ignored the real scandal: the attempt by top-ranking officials at the FBI and CIA to swing the 2016 presidential election to Hillary Clinton, or, failing that, to disable the incoming Trump administration before it had a chance to get off the ground.
