As the 2020 presidential race gains momentum, religion is shaping up as a surprisingly important issue and a key sector of voters sought by both parties this time. Faith voters were a vital segment of Donald Trump’s GOP primary campaign in 2015-16 and the general election that year. This despite Trump’s three marriages, alleged affairs and sometimes sexually explicit language, a fact that Democrats still find difficult to believe. [Snip] There’s no accident that he announced his reelection campaign this week in the South and the Republican National Convention will be held in Charlotte next summer. A poll by the

It was the democrats who taught us that affairs were nobody's business. Don't like them or explicit language but compare Trump's foibles to the dems thinking that sucking a baby's brains out or having them "put down" after their birth because they are not "perfect" - I'll side with Trump.

Christians are often portrayed as holier than thou and self righteous. Real Christians know we’re all fallable and only saved by the blood of Christ. I think he’ll do just fine with the “religious” voter.

Where they going to go - Mayor Pete? The dems have nothing but total contempt for Christians. Trump at least understands us.

Gillibrand says that "free will" is a tenet of Christian faith. Wow. That is a real twist of dogma. Christian faith says nothing about free will being a political thing. What Christ preached was man's flawed nature and the ability to choose good over evil. Never reject/test the Holy Spirit. Always embrace the truth. Jesus said "I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life". Choosing abortion as a right is not a Christian value, nor is pandering to one's misperceptions of gender assignment, or spreading animosity between men and women.

Whatever the opposite of collateral damage is it's why Christians love Trump. They know that he will get a chance to appoint at least one more Justice and will double down on blocking federal money to Planned Parenthood, etc. He is merely the vessel.

I agree with the other Posters. Trump may not be the Pure as the Driven Snow candidate, but he sure as heck is better than those candidates that think it's okay to kill babies, sometimes even after they're born. No contest!

Like the meme says, President Trump isn't a perfect man, but he's the man perfect for this job.

Donald Trump was not a perfect saint. And if we were voting for the pope of the USA, he wouldn't have had a chance.
But he ran for president, and compared to the pure evil of the Demon-Rat Party -- especially concerning the infanticide of abortion and the invasion of illegal aliens -- Donald Trump is by far the lesser of all evils!!!!
I am devoutly Christian, and a woman, and Trump/Pence definitely has my vote in 2020!!!!!

While the Demonrat party is the "Pro Abortion" party, and uses Pro abortion as the test for their candidates for party nomination and sponsorship, no Christian can in good faith vote for it and any of its nominees. As for the other matters, let him/her who is without sin caste the first stone. PS expletives and most cuss words are linguistic vulgarities ans not necessarily sins.

Well I guess Christians should read their Bible. How about starting with the Old Testament. . .
