Even After Trump’s Mideast Wins, Voters

President Donald Trump’s bold move to take out Iran’s nuclear arms program and broker a ceasefire between Iran and Israel seems to have worked, at least so far. But while a large share of Americans believe the ceasefire won’t hold, the majority are taking a wait-and-see approach, the latest I&I/TIPP Poll indicates. The online national I&I/TIPP Poll of 1,421 adults was taken from June 25-27, mere days after the June 22 U.S. military attack to cripple Iran’s nuclear facilities. I&I/TIPP asked respondents the following question: “Do you believe the recent ceasefire between Israel and Iran will lead to lasting peace in the region?”

It may hold for the remainder of Trump's admin but unless we get a good 'warden' in the next election, it's going to resume. The hatred of Jews and the Jewish state is older than Methuselah.

Israel takes a piece of land and turns it into an oasis; Muslims take the land next door and turn it into a military camp. and the citizens there suffer.

Duh. The megiddo valley has been the route for invasions for thousands of years. Just read the history of Israel. Between the Egyptians, the Mesopotamian empires, the Greeks and Romans and the Muslim empires Canaan/Israel has been the land route between Europe, Asia and Africa for armies since time began.

All muzzies are liars, because their 'religion' allows them to be, so I'll believe it when/if I see it. However, since I'm 82 years old, I don't believe that will happen in my lifetime. In my lifetime, I've never seen the muzzies honor a peace agreement!

Muslims have been at war with Israel since 1948. People have every right to be skeptical about peace in the Middle East. As long as the Muslims think they can win they will keep on fighting. They have set the bar for winning very low. Anyone on their side survives and they win. If anyone dies, you go to 'paradise' and they consider that a win too. That's how they keep a war going for over 70 years in spite of the fact that Israel has won on the battlefield every time.

It seems to me that Hatred is the bedrock foundation built into the Islamic culture. Submit to Islam or Die is their creed. President Trump has put the Iranian Mullahs on their backsides for now, but as long as the Hatred remains in the culture, I do not see how a future war can be avoided. As President Trump said of Russia and Ukraine, "These two groups have been fighting so hard for so long, that they don't know what the [Eff] they're doing." ..... although it seems to me that the Hatred is all on the side of the Islamists.

I'm gonna sound like Bill Clinton here but, it depends upon what you definition of 'peace' is. In this context, does 'peace' mean that every single Muslim in the entire world will change their minds about Judaism & Christianity and allow us all to peacefully coexist, or does it mean that the gvt's of Arab nations formally recognize Israel's right to exist a la Trump's Abraham Accords? Personally I lean towards the latter, I think it will take several generations in the Middle East until Isalm is reformed to disavow violence & subjugation towards kafir like the Jews and Christians. Getting their gvts to recognize tanguble benefits of cooperating with the West is much more doable in the short run.

At least a few countries like Egypt, Jordan, and Saudi Arabia have more or less agreed to tolerate Israel. The rest of the Arab countries and either too busy counting money from their oil sales, or too impoverished to afford it. The Palestinians and the Iranians are the biggest threats.

There will never be a lasting peace in the region, because they enjoy killing. They kill outsiders, they kill each other, they just kill. They dont value even their own lives. People like that cannot be civilized. The best bet is to let them kill each other off and then there will just be one left. Then kill him.

What will the Democratic Party’s 2028 platform look like? The way things are going, no one should be surprised if it looks like a manifesto written by a couple of bitter, revolutionary 19th-century Germans. Marxism is no longer on the Democratic Party fringe. It is taking it over. We see this in the unpleasantness of Zohran Mamdani, the recent winner of the New York City mayoral primary. The callow Mamdani describes himself as a “Democratic Socialist.” Fact-checkers, who seem to never fact check the incessant claims by the media and Democratic politicians and operatives that President Donald Trump and other Republicans are fascists, say he’s no communist.

All the attention being thrown at New York’s mayoral primary race, won by socialist Zohran Mamdani, raises broader questions that deserve answers. Why do voters keep electing Democrats responsible for so much urban decline and decay? What will break the left’s stranglehold on our once great cities? Is the situation simply hopeless? Of the nation’s largest 20 cities, only two have Republican mayors – Dallas and Fort Worth, Texas. Republicans hold the mayorships of just 25 of the 100 largest cities. And that number is down from 30 in 2020. More mysterious is the paradox that, despite the fact that blame for empty stores, rising

The headlines this week have blared about how pride in America has plunged under President Donald Trump. But the Gallup Poll driving all these stories paints a very different picture from the headlines. What the data actually show is that, not only did pride among Democrats plunge this year, it has been falling for them over the past 23 years – even when the sainted Barack Obama was in the White House. In Obama’s first year in office, 78% of Democrats said they were “extremely or very proud” to be an American. But by his last year in office, that share had dropped to 68%. Not surprisingly,

For most, July 1 is nothing more than just another rectangle on the calendar before a major holiday. In California, it has become a day of dread – the day gasoline prices jump because of another fuel tax hike in the state that already punishes its drivers with the highest prices in the nation. Lawmakers passed, and then Gov. Jerry Brown signed, Senate Bill 1 in 2017. Known as the Road Repair and Accountability Act, it was Sacramento’s promise that the state’s cracked, potholed, car-busting and outdated streets, highways and bridges would be fixed. All that had to be done was tax California motorists enough to generate $52 billion

It has been amusing to watch Democrats struggle to cope with the success of 33-year-old socialist Zohran Mamdani’s decisive win in the New York mayoral primaries. Why all the handwringing? Mamdani is now the mainstream of the once great Democratic Party. The only difference is that Mamdani isn’t afraid to say what other Democratic politicians try to hide. Think about what Mamdani has proposed or supported: • A yearlong freeze on rent • A $30 minimum wage • Free bus service • City-owned grocery stores • Defunding the police • Calling Israel’s war in Gaza a genocide. “Mainstream” Democrats support every one of these positions

President Donald Trump’s eventful presidency continues to leave most Democrats and independents unimpressed, but he gets top grades from Republicans, the latest I&I/TIPP Poll shows. Can he build on recent policy successes to improve his standing with non-GOP voters, or will Trump’s strong personality, offhand remarks, and bold leadership style alienate them? Each month, I&I/TIPP asks voters to gauge presidential favorability, leadership, and performance. In the just-finished national online poll of 1,421 adults taken from June 25-27, Trump’s grades from voters remain little changed.

Faced with the failure of their policies, far-left and outright socialist Democrats in blue-state America are doubling down. Whether it’s New York, California or midwestern leftist havens Minnesota and Illinois, the socialist model will bring only more failure and misery to its citizens. And, because they voted for it, they’ll get what they deserve. We’re not gloating here. The Democratic Party was once a serious political group that based its popularity on appealing to centrist blue-collar working-class Americans and moderate urban liberals. The extreme left was largely, though not entirely, marginalized. Today, that’s sadly no longer true.

Zohran Mamdani, winner of the Democratic Party’s New York City mayoral primary, is overflowing with Marxist ideas of how to govern that are so lousy that it’s hard to believe he got more than his own vote in Tuesday’s election. Each of them is horrendous, from free bus services to rent control to punitive taxes on those who create prosperity, but none are quite so laughable as his proposal to establish a chain of city-run grocery stores. Mamdani’s campaign literature – overflowing with empty leftist jargon – says if elected he “will create a network of city-owned grocery stores focused on keeping prices low, not making a profit.”
