NEW YORK — Democratic nominee Zohran Mamdani holds a 10 point lead over Andrew Cuomo in New York City’s general election for mayor, while incumbent Mayor Eric Adams trails in fourth place behind Republican nominee Curtis Sliwa, according to a new poll. Mamdani gets support from 35 percent of registered voters, followed by Cuomo with 25, Sliwa with 14, Adams at 11 and attorney Jim Walden at 1 percent. Thirteen percent of respondents said they weren’t sure, while 1 percent picked another candidate. The poll was conducted and paid for by Slingshot Strategies, a polling firm that worked for mayoral

Comments:

Zohran could win with barely 1/3 of the vote. The other 3 are splitting the remainder.

I think Sliwa and Cuomo need to drop out (and perhaps Cuomo is already out, having lost the primary) to ensure that Adams -- mediocre though he may be -- will defeat the Jew-hating communist. I am a long-time fan of Curtis Sliwa, but this is no time to be splitting the opposition vote. Perhaps the Trump administration can offer Sliwa a desirable position.

By their "enlightened" choice of Mamdani, along with their continued self destructive policy choices, they have proven that they may just be about the dumbest people in America. Too many bus fumes (or Democrats). Glad the Hudson River separates NYC from the rest of us so we can blow the bridges and tunnels when things go bad.

I remember in 2020 when Biden won the election. Looking back that was sort of a good thing. It opened our eyes and gave us a second and more fearless President Trump. This might be what it takes for New Your City and for other big Democrat cities across America. Let's keep praying that Jesus has a plan for New York and for Mamdani. The beauty of New York City is an illusion held mostly by lifetime residents. I had to spend some time there on business projects and all I saw were endless tolls, extremely high prices, no parking anywhere, very rude people, daylight crime, 24 hour traffic congestion and people everywhere with their hands out expecting a tip. ATLANTA — President Donald Trump and other Republicans have long criticized states that take weeks to count their ballots after Election Day. This year has seen a flurry of activity to address it. Part of Trump’s executive order on elections, signed in March but held up by lawsuits, takes aim at one of the main reasons for late vote counts: Many states allow mailed ballots to be counted even if they arrive after Election Day. The U.S. Supreme Court last month said it would consider whether a challenge in Illinois can proceed in a case that is among several Republican-backed

The monstrous, swift-moving flood that swept through the Hill Country of Texas on Friday, killing at least 27 people and leaving many more missing, was a flash flood, the nation's top storm-related killer.
