The sincerest of apologies can’t absolve the cruelty of her comment, nor the hurt it caused to parents and loved ones of victims. There is no valid explanation that could ever excuse it - certainly not her political opinions.

She is absolutely sorry... that she lost her job. And so she apologizes "into the ether of the internet." Meaningless. She should go to that area, provide gratis pediatric services until the area is rebuilt and personally apologize to the families of every child who died in the flooding. She should see their pain and experience their sorrow.

One wonders how many parents will take their child to her knowing she wishes evil on people and their children just because of how they may have voted. I know all the under the age of 18 people that died didn't vote for Trump. Not that Christina gives a hoot. Also love the Guardian's dig about the 'climate crises'. The saying "out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks" means that a person's words reveal their true thoughts and feelings. It suggests that what a person says, and how they say it, is a reflection of what is within their heart or mind. This idea is found in the Bible, specifically in Matthew 12:34 and Luke 6:45. Here's a more detailed explanation: Inner thoughts and feelings: The saying emphasizes that a person's internal state, including their thoughts, desires, and emotions, will inevitably manifest in their outward expressions, particularly in their speech.

Not all of those areas voted for Trump, but apparently "All Deserved it" in his woman's mind. Houston must have "Deserved" the massive floods of just a few years ago...and her Alma Mater town of New Orleans must have "Deserved" Katrina...right? These floods didn't eclipse records...larger floods took place in 1931,1938, in the fifties, 60's...80's. Trump wasn't around when they did.

ATLANTA — President Donald Trump and other Republicans have long criticized states that take weeks to count their ballots after Election Day. This year has seen a flurry of activity to address it. Part of Trump’s executive order on elections, signed in March but held up by lawsuits, takes aim at one of the main reasons for late vote counts: Many states allow mailed ballots to be counted even if they arrive after Election Day. A human resources director for the State of Minnesota is now on leave after sending a profanity-laced email from his official work account to an Alpha News reporter following an inquiry about racist posts on his social media page. It started after Alpha News received an email about LaVon “Vonnie” Phillips. A search of the state directory website shows Phillips listed as a “Human Resources Director 1” for the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MPCA). State records also indicate that Phillips earns six-figures and is paid $55.45 per hour. The tipster raised concerns about Phillips and claimed his social media page is “littered with racist comments about ‘white folk.’”
