Have We Reached Late-Stage Climate Hysteria?

A United Nation’s report issued last month calls for the criminalization of spreading “disinformation and misinformation” about global warming. Is it the desperate act of a dying crusade – or business as usual for the climate fanatics? While our hope is the former, it’s more likely the latter. According to Elisa Morgera, the U.N. special rapporteur on climate change, governments should “criminalize misinformation and misrepresentation (greenwashing) by the fossil fuel industry” as well as “criminalize media and advertising firms for amplifying disinformation and misinformation by fossil fuel companies.”

Considering the folks promoting the Green New Scam are the ones spreading mis and dis information, I'm all for the criminalization. However, their version is anyone contesting their views is guilty of spreading dis and mis information. Why don't we just keep the discussion open on the marketplace of ideas, and objectively exam the claims of both sides using ACTUAL science (not flawed models) to decide which side is correct?

No matter the issue when the folks with power and money at stake want to shut down the opposition you know they can’t factually support their issue. One of the reasons American has been great is the right to free expression of contrarian viewpoints.

"demanding that skeptics be arrested and tried" This is the classic signs of Authoritarian governments that cannot justify their ideas and therefore cannot create laws that accomplish what they want to do. It can cover everything the government wants to control. It is also a clear indication that the Authoritarians are losing the battle. In the case of Global Warming, they have had decades to push their ideas and they become weaker every year. Consider that most people WANT a clean environment. 50 years ago, many cities were covered in smog, water was polluted, and we had toxic waste areas. While we still have some work to do, much of those problems have been addressed. Why did that work get done? Because there were real, provable problems. Anyone could see them. But now, not so much. That creates a problem for Authoritarians who need reasons for them to still be in control. It also creates a window for people who are enemies of this Country to enforce regulations that can impact the economic vitality of the Country. So if the obvious problems have been cleaned up (Great job America!), the bosses and enemies of America need new reasons to retain control. However, those reasons are elusive and uncertain. They tried to ride the coattails of the Clean Environment movement but people have become highly skeptical of that connection. Selling CO2, an ESSENTIAL gas, as a pollutant is becoming a Hill to Far. The "science" they are using, dubious computer models that over decades never seem to be right, keep reducing the scope of the warnings to the point where people are asking, "Even IF these models are finally correct, do we really need to panic over a degree or so increase in temperature?". Many of the danger signs that Alarmists warn about are simply wrong. Polar bears are doing just fine, thank you. So as these hysterical people DEMAND action over ever more doubtful "science", including that we STOP discussing the fact that the science IS DOUBTFUL, their rational becomes clear. They want CONTROL! For some because they are irrationally scared. They are to be pitied but not followed. For others, because of ill intent. They must be exposed and expelled at all costs. The way to do that is to KEEP discussing and examining all aspects of the environment with an open mind, NOT by criminalizing honest discussion and doubts.

Climate scientists are evidence that one can be a dishonest educated fool. They are educated, they lie, and the know better yet persist with their narrative. Their MO is always the same: Take a disaster with loss of life, claim climate change was the cause, its Trump's fault, and his supporters got what they deserved. it's a broken record. All they are doing is spouting propaganda to push an agenda. They are all about control. It has nothing to do with the climate with these people.

The problem for the climate hysterics is that they demand you ignore that you are a creature of nature, living in it every day. We know we exhale CO2 as a natural process, and that we have a symbiotic relationship with plant life. We know that plants need not only CO2 to live, but sunshine and water, something the climate hysterics are determined to destroy. We know it gets hot in the summer, and cold in the winter and that because we are a geologically-alive planet, there are swings in temperature and weather events, sometimes dramatic ones. We can see for ourselves that there is a cycle to all living things, as researchers are constantly surprised by something that counters their “settled science.” In fact, we know that there is no such thing as “settled science,” and that the very nature of real science is new discovery. There is no traction on this issue because we live it. Everyday.

President Donald Trump’s bold move to take out Iran’s nuclear arms program and broker a ceasefire between Iran and Israel seems to have worked, at least so far. But while a large share of Americans believe the ceasefire won’t hold, the majority are taking a wait-and-see approach, the latest I&I/TIPP Poll indicates. The online national I&I/TIPP Poll of 1,421 adults was taken from June 25-27, mere days after the June 22 U.S. military attack to cripple Iran’s nuclear facilities. I&I/TIPP asked respondents the following question: “Do you believe the recent ceasefire between Israel and Iran will lead to lasting peace in the region?”

Why do voters keep electing Democrats responsible for so much urban decline and decay? What will break the left’s stranglehold on our once great cities? Is the situation simply hopeless? Of the nation’s largest 20 cities, only two have Republican mayors – Dallas and Fort Worth, Texas. Republicans hold the mayorships of just 25 of the 100 largest cities. And that number is down from 30 in 2020. More mysterious is the paradox that, despite the fact that blame for empty stores, rising

The headlines this week have blared about how pride in America has plunged under President Donald Trump. But the Gallup Poll driving all these stories paints a very different picture from the headlines. What the data actually show is that, not only did pride among Democrats plunge this year, it has been falling for them over the past 23 years – even when the sainted Barack Obama was in the White House. In Obama’s first year in office, 78% of Democrats said they were “extremely or very proud” to be an American. But by his last year in office, that share had dropped to 68%. Not surprisingly,

Lawmakers passed, and then Gov. Jerry Brown signed, Senate Bill 1 in 2017. Known as the Road Repair and Accountability Act, it was Sacramento’s promise that the state’s cracked, potholed, car-busting and outdated streets, highways and bridges would be fixed. It has been amusing to watch Democrats struggle to cope with the success of 33-year-old socialist Zohran Mamdani’s decisive win in the New York mayoral primaries. Why all the handwringing? Mamdani is now the mainstream of the once great Democratic Party. The only difference is that Mamdani isn’t afraid to say what other Democratic politicians try to hide. Think about what Mamdani has proposed or supported: • A yearlong freeze on rent • A $30 minimum wage • Free bus service • City-owned grocery stores • Defunding the police • Calling Israel’s war in Gaza a genocide. “Mainstream” Democrats support every one of these positions

President Donald Trump’s eventful presidency continues to leave most Democrats and independents unimpressed, but he gets top grades from Republicans, the latest I&I/TIPP Poll shows. Faced with the failure of their policies, far-left and outright socialist Democrats in blue-state America are doubling down. Whether it’s New York, California or midwestern leftist havens Minnesota and Illinois, the socialist model will bring only more failure and misery to its citizens. And, because they voted for it, they’ll get what they deserve. We’re not gloating here. The Democratic Party was once a serious political group that based its popularity on appealing to centrist blue-collar working-class Americans and moderate urban liberals. The extreme left was largely, though not entirely, marginalized. Today, that’s sadly no longer true.

Zohran Mamdani, winner of the Democratic Party’s New York City mayoral primary, is overflowing with Marxist ideas of how to govern that are so lousy that it’s hard to believe he got more than his own vote in Tuesday’s election. Each of them is horrendous, from free bus services to rent control to punitive taxes on those who create prosperity, but none are quite so laughable as his proposal to establish a chain of city-run grocery stores. Mamdani’s campaign literature – overflowing with empty leftist jargon – says if elected he “will create a network of city-owned grocery stores focused on keeping prices low, not making a profit.”

None of us ever would have heard of Jeffrey Epstein had the government not brought him up. It was the government that brought charges against him. The government told us that he was “the most prolific child sex trafficker in history.” The government said he was “with intelligence.” The government cut him a sweetheart deal. The government was taken to court by “John Doe” over what the government called “client lists.” The government courts made a ruling about the “client lists” not being released. Senator Dick Durbin blocked the release of the “client list” in the legislative branch of the government. The government said it had “client lists” on its desk.
