The government's Epstein problem

Original Article

None of us ever would have heard of Jeffrey Epstein had the government not brought him up. It was the government that brought charges against him. The government told us that he was “the most prolific child sex trafficker in history.” The government said he was “with intelligence.” The government cut him a sweetheart deal. The government was taken to court by “John Doe” over what the government called “client lists.” The government courts made a ruling about the “client lists” not being released. Senator Dick Durbin blocked the release of the “client list” in the legislative branch of the government. The government said it had “client lists” on its desk.

The one person I've seen proof of being there many times is Bill Clinton. Back when this all started, they actually showed pictures of the sign in book and Clinton's name was there several times. There was even a story that his Secret Service protection asked to not be sent there with him. Who knows if all this is true. However, I tend to believe it.

I'm with #2. I believe we have a good Director, but there's still a lot of Rot in the organization. It sounds to me like someone -or several 'someones'- with 'pull' in the right places did not want the evidence made public, and successfully had it 'disappeared'. I seem to recall, several months ago, a story where the FIBbers went to Epstein's place with a warrant, were able to open 'the safe', saw stacks of videotapes..... and did not touch them. A week or so later when another FIBber team opened the safe, it was empty. Gee, how about that! -How many people had access to wherever the evidence was stored? -What are the procedures and safeguards to ensure that the evidence remained in place and untampered? -How many layers of management are there between the Director and the actual people who would be able to put their hands on the evidence? -If there was no 'procurement' or sex trafficking going on, then why is Ghislane Maxwell in prison?

Per #1, I read a Vanity Fair article about him sometime after the turn of the century. The initial setting was aboard the private jet of someone I'd never heard of named Jeffrey Epstein, which Clinton's security detail jokingly referred to as "Air F___ One." It all makes sense now.

Trump did a lame job Tuesday acting as if it is old news, a waste of time to dig into this. That's a politician's answer when they are hiding something. This issue has the potential of creating a big chink in the MAGA armor.

Solomon said in the book of Ecclesiastes ... when sentence against an evil deed is not carried out quickly, then the hearts of men are turned toward that. While some individual prosecutions would be nice, but in the end, societal rot is the great danger here.

My theory is that Prince Andrew is why Trump is burying this. That is why Starmer delivered the letter from the King to Trump, inviting him to GB. Trump respects GB and their traditions, and does not want that ruined. Trump has been told by Bondi, Patel, and Bongino what is in those files, and Trump told them to shut the investigation down, which explains their bizarre behavior. Trump does not care about Clinton, or anyone else that is probably in those files. It is an obvious coverup as any real investigation would have followed the money trail, and we have gotten nothing on that. These are my guesses on the bizarre behavior we have been witnessing from people who told us they were going to be transparent, but haven't been. We have basically gotten nothing on anything the government has been involved in.

Honestly I think the administration has found so much against Epstein that their plan is to back off and start building cases about the individuals who were associated with him rather than spilling everything now and allow these individuals to lawyer up and perhaps never face justice for their crimes.

It is very tiresome to hear about how disappointed people are in Donald Trump concerning this issue. I will admit I have a fuzzy memory of dates but I do remember Jeffrey Epstein being acquitted or charges dropped during the Barack Obama/Joe Biden administration. Why weren't you speaking up then? It wasn't until Donald Trump became President of the USA that the Jeffrey Epstein case was being revisited. That was why he was in jail. We have no idea who is involved in all of this but I would venture to say that this is dark and sinister - who knows how many lives are being threatened. Remember what Donald Trump said after the attempted assassinations on him - it changed him. I bet there isn't a day that goes by where he remembers Corey Comperatore and his family. They were innocents. I could envision Donald Trump being more concerned about lives and the innocents involved. I think he was being gracious in nouns to use when calling Jeffrey Epstein a creep. To all of you who are critical of Donald Trump, Bondi, Patel, Bongino - you are on the outside looking in and may not know the extent of evil and wickedness involved.

This Epstein evidence is the key to taking down the deep state, which is on both sides of the aisle, by the way. My best guess is that Trump wanted some republican votes on his big beautiful bill badly enough to deep six this for their protection. Politicians do a lot of bad things claiming it is "for the public good". I am beyond disappointed in both this and the sanitized information that was released on the JFK assassination!

The CIA was created out of individuals recruited from Military intelligence and reported directly to the President. They were given unheard of resources and authority. They have been implicated in stabilizing Stalin's USSR, and Mao's Red China, with the intension of creating a permanent "need" for the Military Industrial Complex. Constant little wars since have promoted this theme. Buy new 'improved' weapon systems to sell to our military and their allies to keep up with the threat. Send excess population off to die in endless useless wars. Reports of ever more dangerous nuclear weapons to deter getting into wars with certain parties... The CIA and it's allies the Military Industrial Complex, may be holding us all hostage. I could see the globalist as telling Trump, Patel, and Bongino, "If you go there, we can end EVERYTHING. We don't want to go public. We want the files to continue to blackmail these people from the shadows." One or two Cobalt Bombs could do it.

I think the whole situation is so depraved and the individuals involved are so notable that disclosure would destroy Governments, Intl Corporations, and many World leaders. For example, how could we support a Country like Israel lets say, if they are trafficking young girls to control World leaders like Bill Clinton or Bill Gates. Epstein was an 'asset gatherer' not an investment advisor. His finder's fee funded the lavish lifestyle and depravity that occurred, and once on video they were hooked. The conversation might sound a bit like this. 'Just direct the money mgt of your huge foundations .. corporations .. through me so I can earn the 25bps (.25%). The same well known advisers and firms will actually invest same as always, but you get unlimited use of Lolita Island and this beautiful young innocent girl. Oh yeah, and Bob over here needs a little help on this legislation or this Country needs some support here or (fill in the blank) The real Asset Managers in the business were amused at the parties and $$$ flying around and NEVER saw Epstein in the marketplace. The true story could do significant damage or even bring down the status quo. Its highly unlikely the truth will ever come out, because many the people with the Power are either involved themselves or would suffer greatly from the tacit approval. I guess we'll see, but I don't think this is going to go away.

@ 13 - Bondi got way out ahead on her skis with all her pronouncements about all the Epstein files, etc. For a supposedly smart and savvy attorney - she should have kept her mouth shut until she physically saw/reviewed all the files and coordinated a future release with the FBI and White House. Same for Patel and Bongino - who may never have imagined they would have been offered high level positions in another Trump Administration, but again, either keep your mouths shut these last four years or don't accept these high level positions if you suspect you won't have a free hand or that your previous pronouncements will come back and haunt you.

I understand what #13 is saying but I tire of the good of the few over the good of the many, I thought that was what I have been voting for/against. My theory is that the "list" contains many names, some of whom were evil in their pursuits and some who were brought into the circle with innocent intentions and the list can not differentiate between the two.

The Trump Administration did not officially begin until January 20th--and were given "all" the records from "everyone" after that date, with the exception of a "truckload" of materials and evidence from the SDNY US Attorney's office. The records the current DOJ got have been sanitized (unless put in a burn bag by someone), so I don't blame anyone (including Bondi) for engaging in a cover-up; what they are guilty of is believing that they're in charge. Until they ferret out the bad actors still in their midst they're in the same boat as Trump is with segments of the intelligence community......only as knowledgable as they let him be.

Personally, I think that most of the "good stuff" in the mountain of evidence collected from Epstein in both his Manhattan residence and Epstein Island was kept by the lower levels of the FBI and was never delivered to Pam Bondi's desk. People continue to blame her for evidence that never made it that far. Bill Clinton was a sleazebag pervert from the time he was the Governor of Arkansas and is responsible for more murders and rapes than anybody involved so start with him and Hillary, since she also enjoyed Epstein's sick hospitality. The claim that jail guards all fell asleep and cameras suddenly switched off by themselves at a critical time is absurd, I don't care how many explanations arise for that failure. Many high level government people are walking around guilty but free and sooner or later, somebody is going to talk. Hundreds of exploited teenage girls are now over the age of eighteen and can legally become witnesses.

Sorry, no #13. The Epstein Case is the epitome of the Deep State's rot and unaccountable, lawless overlords of the American people. It is THE case that will define for all time whether the government can ever be trusted again. The president assured us that justice would be coming and now has buried it with his dismissive statement when questioned about the memo. He is now shrugging off justice for the people in order to protect the Deep State. He is now using the newly announced investigations of Comey and Brennan to distract us from his betrayal. He is no longer the solution, he is now part of the problem. Sorry, no.

I believe that Bondi, Patel, and Bongino are telling the truth as they know it. These folks and the President understand the potential political fall-out from taking the position they have assumed if there in evidence out there to be found. The problem is that a corrupt FBI had custody of any evidence for way too long with ample opportunity to purge, destroy, or lose incriminating stuff before these folks ever came into office. One of the reasons I think this way is because at least one perp--Prince Andrew--has in fact been implicated. If he could be made to talk, he could certainly provide the names of others.Forcing a "prince of the realm" to talk against his will is nigh on to impossible. For those who say, "If you think these folks are lying, show us the evidence." the problem is that no one other than the FBI has ever had control of any evidence. So refer to the above paragraph. At this point I believe we will never know the details until Jesus returns and "Everything that is hidden will be made known. . ."

To those who are here defending the administration in this case, my reaction is that gas-lighting one's own supporters is never a good way to conduct politics. Democrats do it all the time... they know their supporters are nit wits. However, when the president pulls a Hillary-esque "this is old news" parry to a reporter's blunt question on the topic, that's on the president. One thing seems sure: While Bondi, Patel, and Bongino are ostensibly "in charge"... they are not in control and they are not calling the shots... and we do not know who is. And that bothers me the most.

Oh c'mon you guys. This kind of covering for each other has been going on forever. It's just part of politics. Their game is to use artful dodges & ambiguous wording when accused of corruption and then laugh about their cleverness in backrooms. Do you remember Craig Livingstone and Hillary's Filegate? Bubba declared that "there was no credible evidence of any criminal activity." Sound familiar? He summarized Filegate as a "mistake made without bad intent" which "appears to have been a completely honest bureaucratic snafu." Notice the clever wording "appears to have been." He couldn't say it WAS a completely honest mistake---because it WASN'T a mistake and it wasn't honest. Here we are 30+ years later and I'd like to know what's different.

#38: Billy Jeff never ran for office on a promise to reveal Craig Livingstone's dirty deeds. And he was on the side of politics from which we have come to expect rampant corruption. We didn't expect the guy we supported -- and who made frequent references to Epstein in his campaign speeches -- to revert to Clinton-esque form. I'm leaning in the same direction as #17. We know President Trump's character and we know that he keeps his promises. Right now he's acting in ways that are counter to his character. "Acting" could be what he's doing now. We've recently seen how masterful he is at misdirection; perhaps he and his team want to lull the perps ~ whoever they all are ~ into believing they're in the clear. I fully believe that he has intentions to ensure that justice will be served or as much justice as possible for everyone who was harmed. I don't ask anyone to agree with me. Many comments I read contain valid points but I think it's important to remember the kind of man President Trump is and what a good heart he has. I believe there is more to this story than meets the eye. My 2 cents....

Here is the ONE & ONLY scenario I would personally find acceptable: The Epstein files are indeed filled with many, many politicians from BOTH sides of the aisle and that includes members of our judicial system (like SCOTUS) and even a few high-rolling Dems like Bill Gates, Mark Zuckerberg, The Oprah, et. al. Trump now knows all this and all their names and the emails they sent Epstein. He made it known to all of them that if they continue to try and stop him, he will release what he has! Thus, you may notice that the Supreme Court has recently swung towards Trump (Roberts in particular seems to have gotten with the program) ... as have many of Trump's enemies --- who are now laying low. The direct attacks on Trump and his agenda have indeed slowed down and are not as loud. Many negative comments are down right perfunctory. You say that many others like AOC, Bernie, Faux-cahontas, etc. are still going crazy? Well ... yeah ... that's because they're not on the list!

We are not going to get an answer to why everyone who goes into government clams up once they are there, until we independently disclose and publicize the reasons. With some it might be money, or blackmail... Threat of assassination... But not all. There is some trigger that's bigger. I must ask does the Deep State have a doomsday trigger, threatening Global Annihilation? There are several possible tools: biological and nuclear where a single device could destroy all life. No reason to imagine only 'governments' would have such things. Is it time to call their bluff?

While most of the country has erupted in outrage after an angry mob savagely assaulted two white people in downtown Cincinnati over the weekend, one prominent local politician has the exact opposite reaction to the story. For most of my life, the climate industrial complex has been a thorn in the side of the U.S. economy. Over the years, it has wrought numerous laws and regulations that have stifled economic growth, innovation, prosperity, and productivity. All in the name of saving the human species and the planet from the existential crisis called climate change. The blunt reality is that climate alarmist fearmongering has jumped the shark. It is now a subject of ridicule. No one really believes the world is going to end in a few years if we don’t immediately abandon fossil fuels. However, the climate change charade lasted a while and did extensive economic damage.

Back in 2016, I remember reading an analysis that President Obama's two terms had left the Democrats in bad shape. In other words, he started in 2009 with huge majorities and left town with the GOP in charge of the U.S. Senate and House. It was probably not what Obama planned, but it happened that way. So the question is: What led Obama to allegedly organize a takedown of the Trump presidency? Was he hurt or was his ego crushed? I like this analysis from Martin Gurri: He understood, as a realist, that he had been the cause of which Trump was the effect.

In the final months of President Obama’s second term, his administration quietly set the stage for one of the most divisive investigations in American history. While officials knew there was no evidence that Russia had altered vote counts in the 2016 election, they still chose to push a story that implied Donald Trump had won because of Russian interference. That decision cost taxpayers millions and damaged the credibility of the nation’s democratic process. In August 2016, the Department of Homeland Security told the National Security Council that there was “no indication of a Russian threat to directly manipulate the actual vote count through cyber means.”

The Steele Dossier saga isn’t over—not even close. If anything, its rot is more obvious than ever, with each new revelation pointing directly to the highest levels of the Obama administration and even reaching into the early days of the Trump White House. What we now know is already damning: the phony Steele Dossier wasn’t just opposition research—it was weaponized disinformation, deliberately shoved into the 2017 Intelligence Community Assessment under orders from Barack Obama himself. Senior analysts warned it was unverified and unreliable, but those concerns were bulldozed in the name of politics.

We’re mad as hell and we aren’t going to take it anymore! That’s just the way it is. America is fed up. Every election cycle, Republican candidates tell us that, in my wife’s expression, they will “Do wonders and poop cucumbers.” And as soon as the polls close, all those promises go away. The latest examples of this are the “Republican” senators who demanded that some foreign aid money be left on the table in Donald Trump’s tiny $9.4 billion rescission package. The fact that that amount of money is a rounding error in the federal budget angers the rest of us as well.

This is, inarguably, the biggest scandal in American history, and by far the most consequential. Period. If you know not of which I speak, you must largely consume mainstream media. (Which means it is very unlikely you’d be reading posts at the American Thinker, rendering the previous two sentences rather moot.) It does a monumental disservice to justice to simply call it the Russia-Russia-Russia Collusion Hoax. It now seems clear that an outgoing president worked with a former first lady Macbeth (and then presidential candidate), a future president, and the country’s intelligence community to make up something out of whole cloth

Stephen Colbert wants you to believe he's some kind of martyred truth-teller, canceled by the evil corporate overlords for daring to speak truth to power about Donald Trump. He’s not. It's a compelling narrative, if you're the type who still thinks late-night comedy hosts are brave crusaders rather than overpaid establishment mouthpieces. But, rather than accept reality, he’s leaning into the preferred narrative that he’s being silenced and that it’s President Trump’s fault.

Ivy League schools are disgusting cesspools of indoctrination. They are rotten down to the roots. Invasive ivy is pervasive; many of the Ivy League professors are abrasive. They both have to go. Yet Harvard, the epitome of effete education, has the unmitigated gall to plead with some judge to block the Trump administration from withholding federal funds. Inside the ivy-covered buildings, the audacity of all-American optimism is usurped by soul-destroying ideology recycled from the compost heap of history. Ivy also thrives in compost, weaving its insidious way up the outside of their buildings. English Ivy is a particularly nasty variant;

The runner-up in the 2024 U.S. presidential election won’t be running for California‘s top job next year, but Kamala Harris isn’t ruling out a 2028 White House bid yet. After months of speculation and impressive polling, the former Vice President has made it official: She’s not going to be on the ballot to lead the Golden State. “After deep reflection, I’ve decided that I will not run for Governor in this election,” Harris said Wednesday. Earlier this year, around the time of the Oscars, Harris told friends and deep-pocketed donors that she would make a final decision on running for

The scandal-scarred independents running for New York City mayor stand little chance against frontrunner Zohran Mamdani — even if the rivals team up against the socialist candidate, a shocking new poll found. Mamdani, a Queens assemblyman and Democratic nominee, is projected to handily win the November general election with 50% of likely voters in the latest survey, released Tuesday by Zenith Research/Public Progress Solutions. Ex-Gov. Andrew Cuomo, who has decided to continue his comeback tour after his embarrassing June primary loss to 33-year-old Mamdani, came in a distant second at 22%, while the GOP nominee Curtis Sliwa pulled 13%.

While most of the country has erupted in outrage after an angry mob savagely assaulted two white people in downtown Cincinnati over the weekend, one prominent local politician has the exact opposite reaction to the story. As The Gateway Pundit reported, a group of black individuals smacked around a bald white guy at the intersection of West Fourth Street and Elm Street in downtown Cincy and beat him so bad that he could not get up. Then, a white woman got slugged by one of the cowards. Her head slammed down onto the concrete, and she lost consciousness. Blood was seen coming out of her mouth.

Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley (R-IA) and House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence Chairman Rick Crawford (R-AR) have dropped a political nuke on Washington: Smoking-gun thumb drives containing unreviewed evidence in the Hillary Clinton email scandal have been sitting in an FBI office collecting dust for over SIX YEARS. The letter, addressed directly to FBI Director Kash Patel, demands that the unevaluated materials — which include sensitive intelligence, foreign communications, and damning evidence related to the Clinton Foundation and Barack Obama — be immediately reviewed and exposed to the American people.

A radioactive wasp nest has been discovered near a former nuclear weapon manufacturing facility in South Carolina. The nest was found by workers at the Savannah River Site in Aiken County, according to a report from the Department of Energy. According to reports, the contaminated nest was found on July 3, just before 2 p.m., by Radiological Control Operations workers during routine inspections. Located on a stanchion near a tank in the F-Area tank farm, the nest registered a staggering 100,000 disintegrations per minute (dpm), a level described as “moderately high” radiation. Workers promptly sprayed the nest to eliminate the wasps, which were then bagged and disposed of as radiological waste.

The House is in recess now, but that hasn't stopped silly Democrats like Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-CA) from lame attacks on Republicans and President Donald Trump. It's all they know how to do since, as former Democratic operative Dan Turrentine noted, they don't have any agenda. He posted videos doing things like swimming in a pool or lifting weights saying that he should be working and lowering costs for people. (Snip) Swalwell was roundly mocked on X. Fox's Greg Gutfeld had a little fun with him, as our sister site Twitchy reported. Gutfeld said Swalwell's videos gave "the ick." That mocking upset Swalwell, who then decided to embarrass himself more.

On Wednesday, Army Secretary Dan Driscoll ordered West Point to terminate the employment of President Biden’s recently hired censorship czar. The revelation came following a now unavailable Tuesday announcement from the academy that Jen Easterly, the former director of the Cybersecurity & Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), would be serving as the new Robert F. McDermott Distinguished Chair within the school’s Department of Social Sciences. Easterly graduated from West Point in 1990.Easterly led CISA from July 2021 to January 2025, a time period during which she oversaw the agency’s efforts to censor Americans.

The U.S. economy under President Donald Trump exceeded expectations and grew at an annualized rate of three percent in the second quarter, according to Commerce Department data released on Wednesday. The Commerce Department report found the American economy, as measured by Gross Domestic Product (GDP), made the gains from April through June. GDP is a measure of a basket of goods and serves to measure growth throughout the U.S. economy. The three percent figure exceeds the Dow Jones estimate at 2.3 percent and reversed the 0.5 percent decline the first quarter of the year experienced.

On Tuesday’s “Alex Marlow Show,” Breitbart News economics editor John Carney talked about pharmaceutical manufacturing. Carney said, “I’d say pharmaceuticals [are] the weakest spot so far. We’re entirely reliant on the rest of the world for pharmaceuticals, from everything from like over-the-counter things that…should be really easy to make…to more high-tech drugs, we’re severely dependent on foreign imports.” He added that while people say we can import from the E.U., “What happens if the E.U. doesn’t like our Israel, for instance, and they say, okay, we’re not going to sell you your statins, right?” And India could do likewise over tariff policy or South Korea policy.

Once upon a time in America, taxpayers were scandalized to learn the Pentagon paid $400 for a toilet seat. It was front-page news. Congressional hearings were convened. Outrage flowed like prune juice at the Biden White House breakfast buffet. Fast forward to 2025, and no one bats an eye over spending more than that for just a toilet. In fact, the federal government under the Biden administration set aside a whopping $7.5 billion in cold, hard, debased American currency—and to date, we’ve got a grand total of 384 E.V. chargers to show for it. And here’s the twist: hardly anyone is shocked.

A WNBA game between the Atlanta Dream and the Golden State Valkyries was interrupted on Tuesday night after a bizarre object was thrown on to the floor late in the fourth quarter. The Valkyries had rebounded a miss with about one minute left in the game when the object flew from the stands and down onto the court. The object bounced a few times away from the ballhandler and then toward the near sideline. The object appeared to be a lime green sex toy. The broadcast showed the object on the floor for a brief moment before everyone realized what it was. "Inappropriate. Get them out of here, whoever it is,"
