For a brief window this week, President Donald Trump was out of the running for a Nobel Peace Prize, after a Ukrainian lawmaker withdrew his nomination on Monday for not ending the war there, and before Rep. Buddy Carter, R-Ga., nominated him on Tuesday for the ceasefire between Israel and Iran.
You can imagine the guffaws and hair-pulling from the Trump-is-Hitler crowd at the thought that anyone would see him as a suitable candidate for this prize. But as much as we’d love to watch their heads explode as he walked up to accept the award, we think Trump should

Doubt President Trump will win a Nobel Peace Prize. The selection committee is filled with libs. The prize means nothing. Obammie got it and he accomplished nothing.

Why Obama got his during his first months of his presidency is still a mystery (until you look at the types of persons who decide these things).

Why would Trump want to join the company of Obama and Arafat? The Nobel Peace Prize is a disgrace.

But if Trump gets it it will return the Nobel Peace Prize some meaning and gravitas.

I think it would be GREAT if President Trump won the Nobel Peace Prize. Not that I have any respect for the award or committee or anything like that.
I'd love to see him win it to turn it down with elan since the Nobel Prize committee needs a serious public smack down for as the article states, " lionizing leftist terrorists, liars, and imbeciles." That is, they've awarded the people who have caused the most worldwide trouble, death and destruction for decades now.

Oh good grief! Why do these people feel they have to tell Trump how to do EVERYTHING? If he wants to accept it (and has the opportunity), then that's his business, and he doesn't need a two-bit news site telling him what he should or shouldn't do.

Considering who awards it and why, it is highly unlikely that they will give it Trump. Looking at it another way, if they did they wouldn’t have given it to the dregs they did in the past.

Vice President John Nance Garner once remarked that the Vice Presidency wasn’t worth a warm bucket of spit (but he didn’t say “spit”). The Nobel Peace Prize holds similar acclaim.

Reason #1, in my book. When they awarded the Peace Prize to Obama, the Nobel Committee has proven to the world that the prize (like the Pulitzer) is meaningless.

He could accept it...then rededicate and "Gift it" to either the Tomb of the Unknown soldiers, or the CIA's Wall of stars...Saying, "As far as I am concerned, PEACE was/is the Prize, the medal should go to those that died striving for that Peace.

They won't give it to him. If they did the sound of all the exploding heads of the TDS afflicted would be mistaken for a missile barrage and it might touch off a REAL war.

I would like to see him withdraw the nomination. It is, as many here have said, meaningless after they gave it to Obama. I don't see any value in It, but it looks like it could lead to an effort to embarrass him. President Trump already stands shoulder to shoulder with the Founders in my mind. What award could anyone offer him that would do him justice? It's just another framed award on the office ego wall.

The Nobel prize was notoriously given to Obama, for “potential”. Even Obama was embarrassed to receive it. If they give it to Trump, that it shows that they’re trying really hard to get out of the sand trap. If not, we get to know once and for all, that it went the way of the Dodo, and their Literature prize…

Nobody wants the Ukraine war to end but everyone expects the United States to keep pumping money into it. Donald Trump is smarter than that. If it costs him the equivalent of a Hollywood Oscar, it won't bother him a bit. Anything that Barack Obama could win is guaranteed to be worthless.

I doubt if the Nobel folks would award Trump the prize. That being said, if he did win, he should travel to Stockholm, accept the award, and then give the speech of a lifetime to the rest of the world.
