Democrats are testing the waters for a national gun grab. On Friday in New Mexico, the governor, a Second Amendment foe, tried to take legal guns away from one of her cities. The AP reports: New Mexico Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham declared a public health emergency over ‘gun violence’ on Thursday following the death of an 11-year-old boy.

Covid was such a success that the democrats have more and more frequently declaring other things as health emergencies. Gun violence, climate change, hate speech, etc. They got away with it in 2020-2022, so why not extend it out for any of their pet peeves?

The boy's age is being used as an extreme example to implement extreme measures. How many 11-year-old boys are prowling the streets of Chicago at present with Glock 9mms in their little hands?

This is not "Step One", its the latest in a long line of Un-Constitution laws infringing on our Second Amendment Right to "keep and bare arms". Even CC laws are illegal. What part of "the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed" do they not understand?

Does anyone know the circumstances of the 3 gun deaths on which the Governor is basing her gun ban? I can’t seem to find it, as it’s never mentioned in the news articles. That fact alone makes me suspect, but I don’t actually know.

Unwavering free speech heroes are hard to come by when the Left is silencing their messages on social media, in entertainment, in the news, on campuses and even on the streets. But Dr. Jordan Peterson is willing to go to jail before he will allow his speech to be interfered with, especially as it pertains to pronoun use and trans "misgendering." He will not refer to a man in drag as "she" and he refuses to use the "proper" pronouns for a woman who claims to be a man. He said that he will never do it because far from being free speech, pronoun use and…

Almost all conservatives recognize that the Left always, always have "a foot in the door." (snip) As is their raison d'etre, Leftists, like sharks, must move forward or die; they cannot leave you alone. They are never without some demonic plan to upend some effective long-standing American tradition that made the country great. Burn it down. Burn you down. It pains Leftists to see people happy, productive, and content. When they see Americans who are comfortable, their diabolical constitution writhes in agony until they inflict some measure of physical, economic, and emotional discomfort upon you. It is their mission.

Now that the midterms are over, this is not the time to relax. Here is an early warning for the GOP: Today is the day you must begin securing 2024’s election. Not a year from now. Not six months from now. Not next week. Today. Make voting much, much harder for everyone. Here at American Thinker, several contributors listed in detail what must be done in order to keep 2022 from being stolen. It almost was. Not nearly enough was done by Americans to secure the midterms. We barely took the House and came this close > < to losing it. Why? Because we didn’t take Democrat cheating seriously enough…
Competence is dead and diversity killed it 28 replies

Has (sic) affirmative action hiring practices caused overall competence to plummet? The record appears to show exactly that. For no good reasons whatsoever, competence was allowed to die on the vine in order to give the less competent a leg up. Not equality but superiority rules the hiring, firing, and education of Americans. Worse, many of those who were affirmatively hired do not do as good a job as those whose excellence was obvious. You can see it in customer service, which for many businesses is abysmally incompetent. There is a resentful casualness in those who are hired to serve others that would not have been acceptable even two decades ago.
America’s spiritual crisis revealed

Some are saying that the death of Tyre Nichols was due to “bad policing” or perhaps affirmative action hiring. Neither is truly the main reason. The Tyre Nichols tragedy was due to a spiritual void where the perpetrators have no conscience. You don’t behave so viciously toward anyone unless you have it in your soul, your being, to be that way. And because the human race is fallen, deeply prone to bad behavior, born to be bad, so to speak, human beings default to that evil fallen state.

It is my opinion that this midterm election will not be a “red wave” or a “red tsunami.” I predict a Red Flood of almost Noahic proportions. First will come the overwhelming rejection of the Biden agenda on November 8. Then will come the rejoicing by most of Red America. But after that, the illegalities will begin, starting with challenging the vote counts and the calls for recounts. Then it will escalate to violence unless there is a plan to nip it in the bud before it starts.

We should hope so. Democracy is mob rule. Democracy is rule by majority. We do not have a direct democracy. We never had one. America was never set up for that. We have a representative republic, where the representatives we voters choose make the decisions as to what legislation to approve or disapprove, according to what we want. That necessitates that our representatives actually ask us now and then what we want instead of voting how they want without our input. Elementary civics lesson over. Hillary Clinton derided Republicans in a keynote address during the New York Democrat party convention in February:…

For quite a while now, ever since Obama talked about the Constitution being a "charter of negative liberties," the left have been behaving as if our Constitution did not exist. Obama's comments and those of other radicals regarding how the Constitution is no longer applicable to today's America reveal a breathtaking disdain for this most brilliant document. Radicals are determined to ignore the Constitution without doing so publicly, thereby destroying it without actually saying that's what they want to do. And so the left have simply decided to ignore the constitutional protections that Americans enjoy against governmental overreach.

Is it “cruel” to send illegal immigrants to Martha’s Vineyard, as Press Secretary Karine Jeanne-Pierre says? Was it also cruel when the Biden administration sent illegals from the border to Red states? What is the difference in the level of cruelty between liberals sending their illegals to red states and conservatives sending theirs to blue states and cities, or is it cruel only when conservatives do it? Liberals are on board for virtue-signaling diversity (and the crime) that comes of illegal immigration so long as it is NIMBY. Does cruelty accrue only when Democrats are hurt?

There has been a creeping meme among some Republican voters indicating that they will refuse to vote because they are fed up with congressional Republicans. They are telling everyone who will listen how horrible congressional Republicans are and are asking, "Why vote when our representatives do nothing and get nothing done?" People who advocate not voting are advocating surrender to the leftist mob and surrender to Democrats who have ruined a perfectly good country. They are recommending surrender to the leftists who are persecuting Republican conservatives. There is no other way to read this: If you won't vote, you turn the reins of what power you have over to Democrats.

Baby boomers and the 'silent generation' are blaming supermarket self-checkouts for increasing loneliness and wiping out one of their last remaining social interactions. Workers like Sharon Hechler are determined to maintain that special bond with the elderly, even as almost half of checkout lanes in the US are now automated. "Some allies of the president say his loyalty to his son — inviting him to state dinners, flying with him aboard Marine One and standing on the White House balcony with him — has resulted in wholly avoidable political distractions," the report continued.

The Democratic mayor of a small Massachusetts city is urging state lawmakers to reform a 40-year-old “right-to-shelter” law that is putting immense strain on the area as thousands of migrant families arrive. Woburn mayor Scott Galvin said by Friday there were about 150 families living in the city’s hotels, an arrangement he called unsustainable for his 40,000 constituents. Under the 1983 right-to-shelter law, Massachusetts officials are legally required to offer housing to any homeless families seeking shelter in the state. The law now covers a rising influx of migrant families, although individuals are not covered under its provisions.
