Doctors Can Prescribe Ivermectin for COVID-19:
FDA Lawyer

Original Article

Doctors are free to prescribe ivermectin to treat COVID-19, a lawyer representing the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) said this week. "FDA explicitly recognizes that doctors do have the authority to prescribe ivermectin to treat COVID," Ashley Cheung Honold, a Department of Justice lawyer representing the FDA, said during oral arguments on Aug. 8 in the U.S. Court of Appeals (snip)"The fundamental issue in this case is straightforward. After the FDA approves the human drug for sale, does it then have the authority to interfere with how that drug is used within the doctor-patient relationship? The answer is no," Jared Kelson, representing the doctors, told the appeals court.

Comments:

Three bold doctors sued the FDA, suit dismissed, they went to appeal and prevailed. While so many died.

Re #4. During the peak of the Dem-panic a friend got an ivermectin prescription. One pharmacy turned it down, so he went to another and they filled it with no problem. My wife and I got prescriptions in advance for it, had no difficulty filling them in June of 2020. Still have much of it, used one course during our bout, although by this February, the disease was much mutated, and we weren't horribly sick. Bad cold for about 8-9 days, basically.

#4 and #8 and others may need to know that if a pharmacy cannot fill your prescription, they are required to give you contact info for the closest pharmacy that can. When we needed it, a pharmacist at our pharmacy said she would not fill a prescription for Ivm, I reminded her that she was required to find a local pharmacy that would fill it. She soon called us back with the name and address of another local pharmacy. Our problem was that no doctor would write the prescription. We believe public comments from Fauci and the FDA spread the message to doctors that doing so could affect their license.

Ms. Honold also said that the courts can’t hold agencies accountable when they provide false or misleading information: “The FDA is politically accountable, just like all other executive agencies.” This last sentence if the article says it all. Sure, the FDA misled everyone and we all knew we were wrong; but we're the government, to bad, so sad, nobody will ever be held accountable for the FDA's lie.

It's not hard to understand why so many Republicans admire Ronald Reagan. "The Great Communicator" sparked a conservative revival that fractured the remnants of the left-wing New Deal coalition. As president, he helped end the Soviet Union, winning the Cold War. Forty-three years after the Reagan Revolution, and eight years after former President Donald J. Trump changed the game again, none of the Republicans who convened for the first presidential primary debate on Aug. 23 repudiated President Reagan. Even President Trump cited a move by President Reagan as precedent for his decision to skip the debate.
