Austin, Texas— Texas must move a large floating barrier that Gov. Greg Abbott placed on the river between the U.S. and Mexico this summer as part of the Republican’s escalating attempts to stop migrants from crossing America’s southern border, a federal judge ruled Wednesday.
U.S. District Judge David Ezra stopped short of ordering Texas to dismantle the wrecking-ball sized buoys on the Rio Grande but called them a threat to safety and relationships between the neighboring countries. His preliminary injunction instructs Texas, for now, to move the barrier out of the water and onto the riverbank by Sept. 15.

I'd have that judge arrested for aiding and abetting a crime.

I'm actually kind of surprised that some enterprising 'migrants' haven't stolen it and sold it for its scrap value, or ripped it up to make temporary little shelters.

It seems to me that this along with all the actions of Biden and his teams actions to open up the Texas border to a foreign invasion should be considered breaking the treaty of 8145 when the Republic of Texas (a country by itself) merged with the United States. This treaty would have been based on governing under the Constitution of the United States which the current regime is ignoring. Does this mean that Texas could legally ignore the rules and regulations that the three letter agencies and judges are putting forth in order to harm this state economically and making Texas citizens' lives and livelihoods less secure?
Not that I want to see anything go that far, but I do wonder.

Article doesn't cite any law the judge thinks Texas is violating, so what the hell is he basing his decision on? "A threat to safety and relationships between neighboring countries"?
Judges aren't supposed to just make stuff up. Is that what this one did?

Take that judge and set him on a small raft right by the floating boom...with a red flag and megaphone...to warn those poor migrants away from the "Danger". Problem Solved.

What #14 said. And, I couldn't get past the "...threat to safety and relationships between the neighboring countries." part, either!! If an invasion isn't a threat, I don't what is!!!

As expected. This will be decided by the Supremes.
The issue is whether Texas can take matter into their own hands when the federal government refuses to abide by their own laws. I look forward to this.

What safety ? What relationship ? Mexico is NOT our friend or ally. Under international law Mexico is supposed to STOP any migrant that enters their Nation from proceeding further, other than to returning to their HOME Country. Mexico is doing all they can to harm the USA. The judge belongs disbarred.

Tell the judge that Texas will comply with the injunction when Biden closes the border and follows federal immigration laws.
Until then, we have a "Mexican Stand-off."
