The Washington Free Beacon contacted partners and corporate staff at six top law firms which regularly hire Supreme Court clerks. All declined to say whether they would hire the leaker or even condemn the breach itself.

The Republicans expanded the party’s lead to an eight-point difference. "I’ve been hired to head the effort to determine whom to sue, when to sue, where to sue," Todd McMurtry, who now represents Rittenhouse, told Fox News Digital in a phone interview Thursday morning. "We're going to look at everything that's been said, determine which of those comments are legally actionable and proceed from there."
