The largest-ever migrant caravan is beginning its trek to the US-Mexico border. The estimated number of migrants in the caravan ranges from about 11,000 to 15,000. Most of them are women and children. The news of the caravan comes at a particularly awkward time for the Biden administration. Biden’s Summit of the Americas is supposed to begin Monday in Los Angeles.
As often happens with the Biden administration, details about the Summit are murky. As of the middle of last week, the leaders who will attend has not been confirmed. The caravan plans to leave Tapachula, a city on the Mexico-Guatemala border, on Monday,

After several days of various Washington Post staffers dragging internal feuds into the public square of Twitter, Executive Editor Sally Buzbee sent a memo to Post staff admonishing them to “treat each other with respect and kindness.” And of course, because we live in the year 2022 and that sadly seems to be how things work, Buzbee’s missive spawned newly tweeted vitriolic spats.
The kerfuffle began when Post political reporter David Weigel retweeted a tweet by YouTuber Cam Harless that said, “Every girl is bi. You just have to figure out if it’s polar or sexual.”

Washington Post reporter Felicia Sonmez continued to complain about her colleagues on Sunday morning after a retweet engulfed the newsroom in controversy on Friday. Sonmez shared screenshots from what she described as public attacks against her by fellow Washington Post reporter Jose A. Del Real.
"When women stand up for themselves, some people respond with even more vitriol. Last night, a Post colleague publicly attacked me for calling out another colleague’s sexist tweet. He first hid any replies objecting to his attacks, and now seems to have deleted his account," Sonmez tweeted.

President Joe Biden’s tenuous relationship with Sen. Joe Manchin (D-WV) is making news again after an inside report has exposed just how out of control the White House is.
Back in December of 2021, negotiations over a massive reconciliation bill between Biden and Manchin were nearing completion. According to The Washington Post, Manchin had already agreed to a $1.8 trillion topline, which is notably a lot more than the spending cap he was committed to publicly. In the grand scheme of things, Biden and his progressive allies were on course to get most of what they wanted.
Then an act of defiance set everything on fire.

Over 70 percent of Americans disapprove of President Biden’s handling of soaring inflation and gas prices, indicating that economic security remains a high priority for the voting population.
As of June 3-4, 71 percent said they are unsatisfied with Biden’s efforts to curb inflation and 72 percent said the same for gas prices specifically, according to a new ABC News/Ipsos poll released Sunday. Meanwhile, 28 percent say they are content with Biden’s management of the inflation crisis.
Thirty-seven percent said they approve of the president’s handling of the economic recovery following the Covid-19 downturn, although that number represents a sharp drop of 16 percent from July 2021, when 53 percent approved

Notorious doxxer and Washington Post “internet culture” columnist Taylor Lorenz was called out for reporting falsehoods Friday by two YouTube influencers who Lorenz mentioned in a hit piece about them. Lorenz claimed she reached out to the pair for comment—which according to them is simply not true. Lorenz was reporting “that content creators” were the winners in the explosive Johnny Depp-Amber Heard trial that ended this week in what most people consider a huge win for Depp. Lorenz claimed that by following the trial on their viral YouTube channels, influencers “LegalBytes” host Alyte Mazeika and an anonymous user called ThatUmbrellaGuy made tens of thousands of dollars.

Many Supreme Court-watchers said the person responsible for leaking a draft opinion overturning Roe v. Wade committed career suicide. If that's so, the top law firms aren't saying a word about it.
The Washington Free Beacon contacted partners and corporate staff at six top law firms which regularly hire Supreme Court clerks. All declined to say whether they would hire the leaker or even condemn the breach itself.
Though an internal probe has yet to identify the source, reports indicate that clerks are the focus of the investigation. Recent months have seen other unusual disclosures—such as the leak of Justice Stephen Breyer's retirement plans

The Democrats have made it plenty clear over the years that they don’t like the Constitution as written. They hate free speech, a free press, religion that is free from government intervention and, most of all, the Second Amendment and its clear recognition of every citizen’s inherent right to bear arms. Unable to change these principles, they opt for imaginary rights (e.g., abortion, same-sex marriage) and dream of packing the Supreme Court to circumvent the intentionally cumbersome amendment process. But they always pay lip service to the Constitution. That is, until Rep. David Cicilline (D. R.I.) spoke openly about his contempt. He is to be praised for his honesty.

Tomball, TX - A Texas community is in mourning after five family members were murdered Thursday inside a Leon County home by escaped cartel killer Gonzalo Lopez.
"The whole community here has suffered a loss," David Crain, a longtime friend of the Collins family said as he choked back tears during a Friday afternoon press conference. "It's going to be unfillable."
At a press conference inside Houston Northwest Church led by Houston Crime Stoppers and the family's pastor, more details emerged about the grandfather and four grandsons. All are identified as brothers Carson, 16, Hudson, 11, and Waylon Collins, 18, their cousin Bryson, 11, and their grandfather, Mark Collins, 66.

A 68-year-old man was shot and killed in a targeted attack in his home in New Lisbon early Friday.
Sources told the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel the victim was retired Juneau County Judge John Roemer, who retired from the bench in 2017.
Attorney General Josh Kaul said the assailant appeared to be targeting others as well. Sources told the Journal Sentinel that Gov. Tony Evers was among them, but Kaul declined to provide any names during a brief news conference in Mauston.
Evers spokeswoman Britt Cudaback declined to discuss the incident, saying the governor’s office has a policy of not talking about security matters.

Republicans continue to lead Democrats and gain momentum on the generic congressional ballot in the latest Rasmussen Reports survey, after a slight dip last week following a recent school shooting in Texas and the gun rights battle.
As the Republicans look to retake control of Congress in the 2022 midterm elections only 158 days away, the most recent Rasmussen Reports survey showed the GOP expanded the lead by two points after a slight three-point dip from last week. The Republicans expanded the party’s lead to an eight-point difference. Forty-eight percent said they would vote for the generic Republican candidate, while only 40 percent said the generic Democrat candidate if the election was held “today.”

First on Fox - The lawyer who represented Covington Catholic student Nicholas Sandmann during his defamation cases has joined Kyle Rittenhouse’s legal team, and says there will be "at least 10" defamation lawsuits against prominent figures and companies for comments against the teenager.
"I’ve been hired to head the effort to determine whom to sue, when to sue, where to sue," Todd McMurtry, who now represents Rittenhouse, told Fox News Digital in a phone interview Thursday morning. "We're going to look at everything that's been said, determine which of those comments are legally actionable and proceed from there."
McMurtry said it’s "pretty much assured that there's probably 10 to 15
