The White House considers Georgia as “ground zero” for voter suppression laws. Somewhere along the way, Georgia Democrats didn’t receive the memo. They question why Biden and Kamala are traveling to their state tomorrow to echo the themes of Biden’s highly divisive January 6 speech and talk up his endorsement of a filibuster carveout in order to pass voting rights legislation in the Senate.
This is a perfect example of the tone-deafness that plagues the Biden administration. Biden and Harris can’t even get on the same page as their own party activists. The push is on for passage in the Senate of the Freedom to Vote Act

How good of them to notice! Most people discounted CDC and FDA credibility after they admitted to “noble lies” such as that on masking, but recently the CDC have stepped up their game on obvious incompetence and politicization. The impression of desperate flailing had already been made on many Americans prior to this, but now media outlets like Axios have sat up and taken notice:
While much of the unvaccinated population is unlikely to be persuaded by any messenger, large swaths of the public are still receptive to expert guidance, but federal health agencies, particularly the CDC, may be squandering their credibility with this population.

Old Joe Biden’s handlers are desperate to revive Barack Obama’s Iran nuclear deal, as Biden State Department wonk Ned Price has made clear: “We are prepared, as we have said, to lift sanctions that are inconsistent with the JCPOA,” that is, the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action, which is the official name of the agreement Donald Trump quite rightly called the worst in history. Meanwhile, as Biden’s handlers do everything they can to be conciliatory toward Iran, the Islamic regime in Tehran is more belligerent than ever. Ned Price and his colleagues would be wise to ponder whether there is a connection between those two stances, but they won’t.

If there was a ranking of White House first ladies (and historians were honest about it), Hillary Clinton and Michelle Obama would most likely be ranked one and two in terms of least liked.
Neither woman understood the role of first lady and it showed – and still shows.
Instead of retiring on a beach house while counting all the millions she and Barack “earned” after leaving the White House, Michelle remains intent on staying in the public eye.
But why? Who is begging for her to come back?
Michelle Obama fired off an urgent message about this year’s midterm elections as Joe Biden’s poll numbers continue to drop into the abyss.

Perhaps that’s why anti-police activists in Seattle are blaming the cops for the K-9’s death: they don’t want to take responsibility for pushing Democrats to pass such dangerous laws.

“Indeed, men too often take upon themselves in the prosecution of their revenge to set the example of doing away with those general laws to which alike can look for salvation in adversity, instead of allowing them to subsist against the day of danger when their aid may be required.”

Will Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) on national television ritually tear up the text of Joe Biden’s State of the Union Address and grimace while he speaks?

Former Jeffrey Epstein attorney Alan Dershowitz lobbied then-President Donald Trump to pardon madam Ghislaine Maxwell before she could face trial, according to a report. The 83-year-old lawyer — himself long accused of having sex with one of late pedophile Epstein’s teen accusers — pushed for the pardon after UK media heiress Maxwell was arrested in July 2020 for the sex-trafficking crimes she was convicted of last month, The Times of London said. The retired Harvard law professor was able to use his close ties to Trump, whom he also represented during his impeachment trial,

Bob Saget told fans he was 'loving every minute' of being back on stage in a tragic final Instagram post less than 24 hours before he was found dead in a Florida hotel room. Saget, 65, was found by staff in his room at The Ritz-Carlton, Orlando, at 4pm on Sunday. The cause of his death remains unknown. Police say there were no obvious signs of foul play or drug use, but a toxicology report is yet to be carried out. He was found hours after posting jubilantly about returning to the stage, and how he was loving being back in the limelight after a show

The political push to transform our electrical grid into reliance on “renewable” wind and solar energy keeps running into the laws of physics. The laws of physics are going to win, but the economic carnage in the meantime will be terrible.
My colleague Isaac Orr documents, not for the first time, the futility of wind energy when the weather gets cold:
"It is a well-understood phenomenon that wind generation in the Midwest essentially disappears when the mercury dips below -22° F. Electricity generation from wind turbines drops under these circumstances because wind turbines are programmed to automatically shut off when the temperatures get this cold

Have you ever wondered what disgraced former deputy FBI directors do after trying to stage a coup and lying under oath? Apparently, they give talks about “protecting democracy” at top-rated institutions of higher learning. Indeed, this last Thursday the University of Chicago invited former deputy FBI director Andrew McCabe to join a panel of partisans to discuss the Jan 6 “insurrection.”
McCabe was fired as the deputy FBI director for leaking sensitive information about an investigation into the Clinton Foundation and then lying about it under oath.

Republican Whip John Thune of South Dakota announced Saturday that he would seek a fourth term in the Senate, following widespread rumors that he would retire from the upper chamber.
Thune is seen as a potential heir to Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, and his retirement would have set off a power struggle at the top of the GOP conference. Members from all sides of the conference had expressed support for Thune, with Maine Sen. Susan Collins saying in December that she would be “beside [her]self” if the whip retired.

An American Airlines passenger has sparked a firestorm by complaining about a pilot whose case bore a sticker critical of Joe Biden. Dana Finley Morrison, a Missouri-based fraternity and sorority worker, was flying from St Lucia to Miami on Saturday when she spotted the pilot's 'Let's Go Brandon' sticker. The slogan began to circulate in September, when a Nascar reporter misheard the chants of 'F*** Joe Biden', and it has since become an anti-Biden rallying cry. Morrison tweeted to American Airlines, saying: 'Y'all cool with your pilots displaying this kind of cowardly rhetoric on their crew luggage when they're in uniform, about to board a plane?

This week marks two years since Iranian terror mastermind Major General Qasem Soleimani was torn apart by a Reaper drone missile in Baghdad, on the orders of Donald Trump. The Iranian regime has marked the anniversary with a flurry of antagonism throughout the region.
On Monday, a coalition base outside Iraq’s main airport was attacked by two drones armed with missiles with the words “Soleimani’s revenge” on them. Both were safely shot down. That same day, two Israeli newspaper websites, the Jerusalem Post and Maariv, were hacked and made to display a picture of a missile being launched from Soleimani’s ring at Israel’s nuclear reactor.

Six years after Obama signed off on the nuclear sellout deal with Iran, diplomats are once again meeting with representatives of the Islamic terror in Vienna's lavish Palais Saxe-Coburg.
1,500 miles away from the white columns of the former palace turned five-star hotel, American forces are under fire once again. On January 3rd, two suicide drones were aimed at the State Department’s Baghdad Diplomatic Support Center near the Baghdad International Airport.
Two more terror drones targeted American forces deployed to fight ISIS at the Al Asad air base. The base has been repeatedly hammered by Iran-backed rocket attacks over the past year, most notably when 14 rockets struck

Much has been written about American decline. Often one’s rivals look ten feet tall and it’s easy to forget that both Russia and China have problems their own of their own. In an effort to achieve a zero spread of Covid, Beijing is imprisoning whole cities. (Snip) Some of China’s woes are caused by the failure of Beijing’s own systems to meet their ambitious goals. First it mandated the installation of a contact tracing app as a requirement for physical movement, even in Hong Kong. The concept of mass formation psychosis as an explanation for our lingering nonsensical covid hysteria was brought to the masses by Dr. Robert Malone on Joe Rogan’s podcast in late December. Malone contextualizes work done by psychologist and statistician Dr. Mattias Desmet on the conditions necessary for mass formation to set in, and explains why many of those conditions are being met right now.
Per Google Trends, Immediately after the podcast, interest in and searches for the term skyrocketed. And it just so happens that Malone himself had previously published an article on his Substack, expanding on the very subject he just became responsible for driving so much interest

Senate Democrats recently threatened to eliminate the filibuster if their “Build Back Better” and “For The People” bills weren’t passed. Such a strategy, however, holds serious political dangers for elected Democrats: A bipartisan majority of both Republicans and Democrats support keeping the filibuster, a new I&I/TIPP Poll shows.
Responding to recent events, the monthly I&I/TIPP Poll, posted also at TIPPInsights, asked the following question:
As you may be aware, the filibuster is a Senate procedure that has been used to prevent the Senate from passing controversial legislation, even if a simple majority of 51 senators support it.

Nearing his first full year in office, President Biden has conducted fewer news conferences than any of his five immediate predecessors at the same point in their time in the White House and has given fewer media interviews than six of them did, according to a story on Sunday.
The president has done 22 interviews with the media and held nine formal news conferences – six solo and three with visiting foreign leaders – an analysis by Martha Joynt Kumar, a professor at Town University and director of the White House Transition Project, found

For most infections, early treatment is imperative to prevent late complications. Gangrene infection in the toe must be treated aggressively to prevent losing not only the toe, but also a foot or leg if the infection is inadequately treated and spreads. There’s a saying that, if you want to know what the Democrats are doing, just look at what they’re accusing others of doing. That’s certainly the case when it comes to anti-Semitism. As the country continues to battle a surge of COVID-19 cases, many authorities are turning to new antiviral treatments, which can aid people diagnosed with the virus who are at high risk of falling seriously ill.
The problem is, there’s a shortage of these medicines, forcing governments to ration them. Authorities are understandably trying to direct their limited supply of these life-saving treatments to those who need them most.
But in New York, those authorities have decided that the color of one’s skin is one way to define that need.

The one-year anniversary of the January 6 riots unfolded in a manner as dramatic as it was predictable. The Pearl Harbor and 9/11 comparisons were uttered before noon — not by some media hack on MSNBC, but by our own vice president. Democrats, led by Speaker Pelosi, stood on the steps of the Capitol adorned with face masks and holding fake candles to hold a prayer vigil. At one particularly bizarre point during the day’s ceremonies, Pelosi introduced playwright Lin-Manuel Miranda, who in turn introduced cast members from his hit musical Hamilton to sing a virtual rendition of “Dear Theodosia.”

Iran’s imposition of “sanctions” on dozens of Americans amounts to an assassination threat against members of former President Donald Trump’s administration, according to a senior U.S. official who threatened “severe consequences” for any harm done to them. “Make no mistake: the United States of America will protect and defend its citizens,” White House national security adviser Jake Sullivan said Sunday. “This includes those serving the United States now and those who formerly served.” Iranian officials have made explicit their interest in killing one of the people involved in the U.S. strike that killed Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Gen. Qassem Soleimani.

Texas scientists rolled out a new COVID-19 vaccine, saying it’s patent-free and can be produced by any manufacturer in any country. The vaccine, called Corbevax, was developed by the Texas Children’s Hospital and Baylor College of Medicine.
It has successfully passed human trials as safe and effective. The new treatment is based off protein-based technology that has been used in other vaccines for decades and it does not use MRNA.
India has already authorized production of 100 million doses per month of the new vaccine. Meanwhile, Texas scientists say not-for-profit vaccines will help defeat COVID-19 quicker.
