Los Angeles crimes have seeped into the wealthiest of neighborhoods, rocking residents and being compared to dystopian movie franchise "The Purge." Residents have flocked to the city’s only gun store in response, arming themselves as a last-ditch effort for protection even though the city has a long track record of supporting liberal policies and gun control. "Although that is a part of my living, I get no pleasure whatsoever by having a 60-, 70-year-old woman walk into my store … who looks terrified, and say, ‘I have never liked guns. In fact, I've even hated guns. I would have never considered buying one.

Clearly not true. As #3 points out, the ROOT CAUSE of the crime is crimes committed with guns, and history has shown that from 65% to 85% of these crimes are done by black people. So, they have PLENTY of access to guns, clearly.

To be honest, this gun store has been allowed to exist for two reasons. One is it is for the rich who will make appointments to come in and purchase their guns, and two, the rich have never really wanted to buy guns in the past. That is now changing, and I am sure the store will be shut down as soon as enough wealthy folks have their weapons.

-There are many gun stores in LA and in surrounding cities, probably hundreds. There is however only one in Beverly Hills which is a postage stamp compared to the LA area. - Guns are not racists but gun control laws are racist. - In general the guns being used in crimes are not legally owned, probably stolen. - The people (White, Black, Hispanic, Asian etc) doing the crimes are a tiny percentage of the population still everyone including Blacks should be able to protect themselves but it not legally possible due to CA gun laws.

In my old city during the fifties and sixties, the only people who had hand guns were retired policemen for obvious reasons. When the floodgates were opened to Jamaican criminals (thanks Trudeau and Manly) suddenly crimes were committed with guns. We had never before seen anything like it. It is actually reversed. Illegal guns are relatively easy to buy in the hood. If you figure out how to deal with a criminal so you don't end up with no money, no gun and maybe no life. The smug liberals who are now trying to arm up can learn first hand all about the reams of gun control laws they thought were so cool. Wanting a handgun in CA and actually owning a handgun are too very different things. Carrying that handgun outside their house is another level of forms and qualifications. It is reality meets sanctimonious blather.

Most Americans today have a romanticized (and extraordinarily narrow) historical understanding of the conflict that we call the Civil War. In their imaginations, it goes something like this: With passions inflamed by a moral renaissance in the North regarding the institution of slavery in the South, the two sides decided to go to war over the issue. In the end, the evil South was righteously razed by the armies of the North, and thus, slavery was ended, and the former slaves made American citizens, as Abraham Lincoln intended.

The new treatment is based off protein-based technology that has been used in other vaccines for decades and it does not use MRNA. India has already authorized production of 100 million doses per month of the new vaccine. Meanwhile, Texas scientists say not-for-profit vaccines will help defeat COVID-19 quicker.
