Very Interesting Marionette Strings Visible

Late December, the New York Times reported {LINK} that South Dakota Senator John Thune, the heir apparent to Senate Leader Mitch McConnell, was considering retiring because the Trump influence, the MAGA base, was not in alignment with his corporate and Wall Street donor class worldview. Those who have watched closely know Senator Mitch McConnell has positioned Senator Thune to take over in the Senate (zipper problems not withstanding). The Machiavellian purpose of the positioning is to put Thune in place as a line of defense to protect the interest of the political establishment and the aligned Fourth Branch of Government.

I hate the practice that Thune or anyone gets a position because they "are the next in line." Shouldn't the Senate Majority Leader, instead, be the best-qualified person to advance the conservative agenda and uphold the constitution not just the next in line? I remember writing my senator years ago following an election in which the Republicans took over the Senate demanding they elect someone other than McConnell. Did it do any good? Nope. The Republicans win and McConnell is the leader. The Democrats win and Schumer is the leader. Next election the Republicans win and McConnell is the leader and so on and so on. And we wonder why nothing changes or gets better.

#2 follow the $$. McConnel controls the RNC campaign cash and the Senate GOP agenda. If you are a junior Congress person without an established campaign fund you must vote for/with him or your next campaign doesn't get funded and your legislation never gets to the floor. When I recognized the process I quit donating to the party - only donate directly to candidates.

Move over, Fightin' Roy Blunt. Dyn-O-Mite John Thune is about to steal your act - - and become the ferocious, battling Senate spokesman for all of us. Dyn-O-Mite John frightens the commie demonrats to death. He's fit - - he's energetic - - he's aggressive - - he's strategic - - he's charismatic - - he's everything we could want in a Senate leader. Gee - - how lucky can we get? Dyn-O-Mite!

South Dakota....fully infected, politically. NO THANKS. But, I suppose that smaller states are easier to purchase votes and fraud in. Gov. Noem is a hard "NO" for me, she showed her real stuff already, fake conservative. Thune - never was someone that I liked much, too much like McConnell - who is really working for the ChiComs, not Americans.

Until we stop doing the same thing, nothing changes. Thune is just a younger McConnell. I honestly believe they patterned the character, Frank Underwood, in House of Cards after Mitch McConnell, and the two have just about the same amount of honor and integrity. Mitch is in it for Mitch and he cannot abide the fact that he knows Donald Trump is a better man than he will ever be. What’s worse, he knows Trump would bring him down in a New York minute if he had the chance and that is why McConnell is working so hard to make sure that Trump never returns to White House again.

Stop worrying about whether someone is pure enough or conservative enough on any 1 or 2 particular issues. You need enough people with an R next to their name to have any sort of control of the House or the Senate, after all. Thune has not caved on any of the major issues being pushed by Schumer, right?

People all over the world eat fried dough, and nobody does doughnuts like the United States. Doughnuts can be found year-round across this great nation in a huge array of flavors, shapes and styles. But astute reader Susan Green suspects that America may be riven by a hidden doughnut divide. She observes that some parts of the country are saturated with a single doughnut brand, while others host a profusion of independent doughnut purveyors.

My father is one of three boys in his family, the middle son. His older brother is my Uncle Bruce. He and my father are approximately three years apart in age. They had formed a fast bond by the time their third brother came along, and the stories of Bruce and my dad’s childhood antics are legendary in the family. For example: One of my grandfathers worked as the manager of a small storefront JCPenney in western Kansas during my father’s childhood, back when JCPenney still maintained storefronts in small towns. This was the early 1960s.

During a recent conversation with media personality Megyn Kelly, comedienne Roseanne Barr gave a strong pro-life message, speaking candidly about her decision to place a child for adoption and what she calls the "barbarity" of abortion. In an episode of SiriusXM's "The Megyn Kelly Show" released on Wednesday, Kelly quickly delved into Barr's unusual childhood. Barr, now 70, grew up in the 1960s in one of the few Jewish families in Salt Lake City, Utah. From an early age, Barr dreamed of becoming a famous stand-up comic, but at 18, those dreams were temporarily derailed when she discovered that she was pregnant. Barr ultimately decided to place the baby

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) introduced articles of impeachment against Attorney General Merrick Garland one day after she announced efforts to impeach two other officials. In the articles of impeachment, Greene alleges that Garland is "facilitating the weaponization and politicization of the United States justice system against the American people." Attorney General Garland has failed to uphold his oath and has instead overseen a denigration of the principles of our democratic republic by politicizing the Department of Justice, and utilizing the Federal Bureau of Investigation as a Federal police force to punish or intimidate anyone who questions or opposes the current regime," the articles of impeachment said.

The mob came, and Imus was summarily canceled. But did the mob solve anything? The incident sparked a broader conversation about race, black culture, and, especially, rap and hip-hop lyrics. Oprah Winfrey convened a two-part town hall meeting. Panelists included NAACP President Ben Chavis, rap mogul Russell Simmons, rapper Common

There are powerful parallels in the 1961 movie “The Hustler,” the 1913 US Open, and the current debt ceiling negotiation. Let me explain. In each case, there is a real question of which competitor is going to succumb to the pressure and break. In “The Hustler,” Paul Newman plays Eddie Felton, a young pool shark who takes on the greatest pool player of his time, Minnesota Fats (played brilliantly by Jackie Gleason). A great deal of money is involved, with the champion being backed by several big money guys.

Just last week the Proud Boys trial around the events of January 6, 2021 concluded. Four leaders of the Proud Boys were convicted of "seditious conspiracy" in a heavily biased DC court for their activities related to the mostly peaceful demonstrations of that date. Julie Kelly, and others have written in detail about the case and some of the implications, but there are a few aspects I would like to elaborate on here. To my mind, there are some dangerous precedents that have been set for subsequent attacks on Donald Trump and on the GOP presidential campaign. The first of these is having a court identify the J6 events as "sedition",

As the geography narrows before us, it is important to remember the stakes and avoid the distractions. As a consequence, the baseline must be reaffirmed. It is critical to understand that both the DNC and RNC are private corporations with no affiliation to government. It is a difficult shift in thinking, but the party system in U.S. politics revolves around two distinct private corporations, two clubs that feed from the same corporate trough and position for influence and affluence within a political dynamic they control.

Former President Donald Trump has been having some serious sit-down meetings with some significant national leaders, and it's annoying the Biden administration.
