Former Jeffrey Epstein attorney Alan Dershowitz lobbied then-President Donald Trump to pardon madam Ghislaine Maxwell before she could face trial, according to a report. The 83-year-old lawyer — himself long accused of having sex with one of late pedophile Epstein’s teen accusers — pushed for the pardon after UK media heiress Maxwell was arrested in July 2020 for the sex-trafficking crimes she was convicted of last month, The Times of London said. The retired Harvard law professor was able to use his close ties to Trump, whom he also represented during his impeachment trial,
I haven't trusted Dersh ever since I heard he knowingly defended Epstein in Florida.
Had Trump agreed to that, he would have been considered complicit and there would have been no defense.

If he had, they probably would have impeached him, again.

Considering that Trump tossed the pervert Epstein out of his clubs for trying to fool around with underage help and daughters of club members, well, that wasn't going to happen.

Sooer or later they figure out a way to bring Trump into the loop.
Dershowitz is a defense attorney. As such he would defend the guilty and the innocent.

Considering how the MSM repeatedly prints old pictures of Trump and Epstein from some early 90s parties, (while ignoring Clinton's many trips on the Lolita Express and Epstein's island of perversion), Trump would have been an idiot to pardon Ghislaine.
Like #2, I'm suspicious of Dersh's motives. Once I read about him frequenting nude beaches on Martha's Vineyard, I started wondering about the exact nature of his relationship with Epstein.

I won't pretend to KNOW the truth of this whole sordid mess. No idea if Trump will run in 2024, but if he had pardoned Maxwell, there would have been no chance of a continued future in politics. The Epstein crimes are so toxic that it is inconceivable that a pardon was seriously considered. If he had granted her a pardon it would have been interpreted as an admission of guilty involvement in Epstein's crimes against children.

"Trump, one of many high-profile people who had socialized with Maxwell and Epstein, showed a 'sudden interest' in the madam during the pardoning period, Wolff said."
Trump's "sudden insterest" was probably no more than taking a New York second to decide that a pardon for Maxwell was "Hell no!" The decision was an Nth degree no brainer.

Number 8. The Epstein case is not near toxic enough.
There should have been a list of names coming from Ghislaine. Names of client in high office.
So far nothing but some numb nuts Prince who doesn't amount to much.

Look, Trump permanently barred Epstein from the Mar A Largo estate for messing around with teen girls working there and did not grant a pardon to Maxwell. That should tell you the story!

But he didn't. It says more about Dershowitz than about Trump, but I'm betting that wasn't the focus of the article. (I didn't read it, no.)

I haven't trusted the guy since he admitted he visited the Epstein mansion in NYC on numerous occasions, claiming he was getting massages there. Uh Huh. There are so many huge and recognizable names associated with Epstein that it is little wonder that the courts quickly sealed everything. Pedophilia is rampant in the Swamp, and especially among the leftists.

You got to remember that besides being a Harvard Professor that Dershowitz has also operated as a high profile defense attorney. As a defense attorney he is required to defend his clients. One way to do that is to ask for a pardon for his clients.
Once asked by Dershowitz it would have been then President Trump’s job to deliberate such a pardon, Presidents do that all the time. But what really matters is the final decision to pardon or not to pardon a defendant. Obviously Trump decided not to grant a pardon in the matter. With Presidential pardons what really counts is the final decision of the President, and not the pre decision deliberations to may have taken place.

Alan, birds of a feather flock together. You put yourself in Epstein’s circle. Trump kicked him out of his. Nuff said.

From what I have seen, it appears that the only way to pass the bar is to swear that you will lie and attest to anything that profits you or anyone able to hire you.
maybe there is a lawyer somewhere that will not lie if necessary or convenient but he must be darn lonely at law school reunions
