Seventy-eight percent of senior Capitol Hill aides believe Republicans will regain the House in 2022, up 12 percent from April, according to a poll released Monday.
The Punchbowl News poll also included responses by party, which showed 57 percent of Democrat Hill staffers believe Republicans will regain control.
Additionally, 99 percent of the Republicans on the Hill believe their party will regain control of the House, ending House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s (D-CA) short four-year reign of trying to push through her radical, one-sided agenda.

A family of six came under fire along a stretch of Missouri highway last week while on their way to vacation, and a 22-year-old mother is accused of pulling the trigger. According to police, the family from Tennessee was heading to Kansas City on I-55 in their Nissan Pathfinder on Friday when a Ford Focus started tailgating the SUV. One of the shooting victims was an 11-year-old girl who was shot in the back Sunday night around 9 p.m. The shooting occurred in the West Pullman neighborhood, and the gunman who shot the girl was riding in a passing vehicle when he opened fire.

This compares to 87% of Republicans who agree with the recommendation that people should now strive to lead their normal lives. Forty-three percent of Democrats say their lives are not yet back to normal, as compared to only 24% of Republican respondents.

Texas Republicans this past weekend swept key mayoral races across the state, a setback for Democrats who expected changing demographics, especially in the state’s larger urban centers, would continue to help them win the conservative-leaning state.
The biggest setback for Democrats was likely in the border town of McAllen, where roughly 85% of the 150,000 residents are Hispanics, and Republicans for the first time got a candidate elected as mayor, according to the National Review.
Vice President Kamala Harris’ first trip abroad to Guatemala and Mexico got off to a rocky start Sunday, when a technical issue grounded the plane after about 30 minutes into the flight.
