On Monday, the Supreme Court unanimously rejected an illegal immigrant’s attempt to twist immigration law and create a loophole that would allow thousands of illegal immigrants to become lawful permanent residents. Democratic senators and attorneys general advocated for this loophole, but a liberal justice wrote the opinion for a unanimous Court. “Petitioner Jose Santos Sanchez entered this country unlawfully from El Salvador. Years later, because of unsafe living conditions in that country, the Government granted him Temporary Protected Status (TPS), entitling him to stay and work in the United States for as long as those conditions persist. When was the last tie the Supremem Joke of the United States was unanimously in favor of a straight forward law that denied Democrats an advantage? Not in my lifetime that I can remember. Next thing you know they will rule the Constitution is actual the law of the land and not just a mere rough guideline.

There has been some speculation that this spate of 9-0 rulings are a response to threats to pack the court, and that the judges are sending a message to the commies that interference in the makeup of the court will not be tolerated.

We don't deny that some people are in imminent danger in their homeland, and can have refugee consideration or other emergency treatment. However, there are millions of others really don't have a "right" to come here and recreate those abysmal conditions here. The day we hear how grateful --yes, grateful-- they are to be here, how they want to be part of this great "melting pot" we can refresh our overall policies. Talking about illegals, here, not people who come here through the legal channels.

Patriotic sound reasoning does sometimes come from an unexpected source. If this keeps up the democrats will need a 100-member supreme court to make the power grab work out.

Amazing that must have been a real 'stinker' of an immigration loophole for a vote of 9-0 and Kagan giving the opinion. If Ruthie Ginsberg were still alive it would have been 8-1 with Ruthie giving the decent.

Temporary Protected Status (TPS) when it was passed into law by the Congressional liberal Democrats with support from the wimpy Republicans was publicized as being a temporary immigration status in the USA for illegal aliens who the liberals claimed could not return to their home country because of a temporary natural occurrence that took place there, like a earthquake or hurricane, and that after the mess was cleaned up those illegal aliens granted TPS status would then be sent back to their home countries. The wimpy Republicans went along because TPS status also gave those illegal aliens, now about 400,000 strong, a temporary work permit, so that they could hold down US jobs, and could be hired by US employers, who supported the wimpy Republicans, as cheap foreign labor. There was nothing in the TPS law that allowed for illegal aliens granted TPS status to qualify for permanent resident alien status in the USA, and that try was just a leftist and socialist Democrat slight at hand move to generate up to 400,000 potential future leftist and socialist Democrat voters in the years ahead. If the Supreme Court had ruled otherwise, Biden could have granted very illegal alien here now, and those who are bound to show up in accordance with Biden’s “open borders” initiative, a TPS status, and then granted them all, maybe 11 to 22 illegal aliens permanent residence status in the USA without Congress ever passing a law to do that.

This is one of a couple or more decisions recently where the leftists on the Supreme Court refused to give the Left what they wanted because the letter of the law doesn't say that. It's almost as if they are "growing in their role".

Biden's 2022 budget wokeness: Mothers are

Why are woke Democrats waging a war on women? Joe Biden is embracing a particularly disturbing term for women who give birth. While most of us call these women ‘mothers’, the woke insist on a new terminology- birthing people. Just when we think the destruction of the English language can’t get any worse, someone says “Hold my beer.” Joe Biden’s FY2022 budget, a $6 trillion monstrosity, addresses the maternal mortality rate in the United States. The section begins by using traditional wording such as maternal and woman. Then toward the end, there is a shift to gender neutral language.

On Tuesday’s broadcast of the Fox News Channel’s “Special Report,” Sen. Shelley Moore Capito (R-WV) stated that during negotiations over an infrastructure package, “we offered the president basically what he asked us to do the first time we met with him, which was a trillion dollars over eight years, including baseline spending.” And that despite Republicans drawing a red line on tax increases, “the last offer that I got from the president had four tax increases in it.” Capito said, “Well, the president ended the talks today with me on a very cordial call. I am extremely disappointed. Because we offered the president basically what he asked us to do

Several weeks ago I read a wonderful column by my old pal Gerry Baker of the Wall Street Journal. It was titled, “Did Biden Peak on Inauguration Day? Covid confusion, Mideast chaos and the threat of inflation — He doesn’t have many victories to point to.” That question is reinforced by the Journal’s Kim Strassel, in a column Friday titled “Biden’s Agenda Hits a Senate Wall: The Parliamentarian nixes Schumer’s plan to evade the filibuster via ‘reconciliation.’” Much of the economic and stock market outlook for the remainder of this year and next would be determined by responses to these questions. The economy is in great shape

Joe Biden’s top priority since passing his economy-crushing boondoggle of a COVID “relief bill” has been to get an infrastructure package done. The problem is that the filibuster exists, and while Joe Manchin was willing to push through the first monstrosity via reconciliation, he’s said he doesn’t want to do that again. That means that Republican votes are almost certainly going to be needed to get anything done. Enter West Virginian Sen. Shelley Moore Capito, who has been acting as the chief negotiator for the GOP regarding the matter. Capito is now saying that Joe Biden has blown up negotiations after initially asking Republicans to submit a $1 trillion

In a video of the signing, Gov. The media and elected Democrats, from President Biden on down, are really pushing as hard as they can on Senators Joe Manchin and Kyrsten Sinema. They seem to have redoubled their efforts this week after Manchin announced he would not vote for the Dems’ voting rights bill. This morning Ed wrote about Rep. Kamala Harris is under some kind of pressure. It's hard to say what, given the working thesis (first seen in a tweet by Newt Gingrich) that Joe Biden appointed her to the position of border czar because he knew she would do nothing. But it's pretty obvious there were signs of strain in her face as she met with the president of Guatemala on Monday and then held a dual press conference. She looked like hell.
