NCGOP Chairman Tells Republicans To

Ted Budd, According To Party Leadership

First thing Monday morning, after President Trump’s hugely successful speech at the NCGOP convention in Greenville, North Carolina, party officials pushed the messaging of NCGOP chairman Michael Whatley to ignore Trump’s endorsement of US House Rep. Ted Budd for US Senate. The Gateway Pundit attended the NCGOP Trump dinner and VIP event on Saturday night and spoke with numerous party members. We were told that Whatley ran for his position in the party as an advocate for Trump and was elected because party members believed he was close to the Trump administration.

After being a Republican for over 60 years, I left what has become the Republi-Can't Party back in November after they stabbed President Trump in the back over and over again. I am now an independent Conservative. I will still support good conservative candidates that run as Republicans, but I will support them directly. Never another penny to the useless and impotent GOP. And I am pretty sure that I am not alone in feeling that way!!! So if I am going to consider the opinion of the greatest president in my lifetime, or another swamp-creature Republi-Can't bureaucrat like NCGOP chairman Michael Whatley, that is an easy Trump victory every time!!!! Once again, I don't think I am alone!!!

By countering President Trump’s endorsement, Michael Whatley either made a huge blunder...or a political master stroke, if he actually wants Ted Budd to be the candidate but wants to appear evenhanded. After all, he didn’t say anything against Budd. Trump supporters will probably go with the President’s preferred candidate. And no one will be able to accuse Whatley of being unfair to the other candidates. I wonder which it is? 🤔

The party shouldn't be biased toward one candidate in a contested primary. None of the chairman's statements are anti-Trump. No need to stir this into something it's not.

The headline is misleading. Whatley did not tell them to ignore Trump's endorsement. All he told them was that he and the Party was remaining neutral in the primary...which, as a general rule, it should. This looks like Gateway Pundit attempting to stir the pot, rather than any real controversy.

This is weird. If the "Party Chairman" has a statement to make, why doesn't he make it? What's with the anonymous "party leaders?"

President Biden broke off negotiations with a group of GOP senators led by Sen. Shelley Capito on Tuesday (R-W.Va.) amid disagreements regarding the structure and size of his proposed infrastructure spending plan.Discussions between the White House and Capito’s group were cordial, and Biden walked away feeling as though the negotiations ran their course and were in good faith, an administration source told Fox News. Talks broke down because Biden wanted Republicans to present a more significant number for infrastructure investments and because he felt their plan to pay for a proposed $1 trillion package lacked specifics.President Biden "informed Senator Capito today that the latest offer from her group did not,

Kamala Harris is under some kind of pressure. It's hard to say what, given the working thesis (first seen in a tweet by Newt Gingrich) that Joe Biden appointed her to the position of border czar because he knew she would do nothing. But it's pretty obvious there were signs of strain in her face as she met with the president of Guatemala on Monday and then held a dual press conference. She looked like hell. Here are some camera shots from the NBC News report on the television set: [Snip for pictures] She actually looks pretty lost, uncertain, way out of her comfort zone. Not ready for prime time.
