A new internal report written by three Democratic Party interest groups sought to dissect and explain the party’s supposedly inexplicable losses in 2020. Where Democrats were confident that they would pick up five or six Senate seats, they picked up only three, two of them in the special election in Georgia. In the House, Republicans flipped an even dozen seats, coming within 5 seats of a majority. Democrats won the presidency, but despite gaining majorities in Congress, they are still worried. Several factions within their coalition didn’t give them the support they were expecting.

Hollywood actress and Democrat Party activist Alyssa Milano is considering a bid for the U.S. House of Representatives in the state of California in 2024.
Milano, a staunch supporter of President Joe Biden, teased her potential campaign in an interview with The Hill published Tuesday.
“I’m looking at California’s 4th District to potentially run against [Rep. Tom] McClintock (R),” she told the D.C.-based news outlet.
“I split my time between Truckee, Calif., and Bell Canyon, Calif., and the Republicans have basically had a strong arm there in the 4th District,” she added.
McClintock won reelection last year with 56 percent of the vote against Democrat challenger Brynne Kennedy.

On Monday morning ABC 7 noted the total number of shooting victims for the weekend reached 55.
One of the shooting victims was an 11-year-old girl who was shot in the back Sunday night around 9 p.m. The shooting occurred in the West Pullman neighborhood, and the gunman who shot the girl was riding in a passing vehicle when he opened fire.
Representative Adam Schiff (D-CA), chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, Sunday on MSNBC’s “Alex Witt Reports” called the Republican Party “anti-democratic.”
Witt said, “Here is something that investigative reporters have gotten ahold of from The New York Times. They report that in Donald Trump’s final weeks in office, his chief of staff, Mark Meadows, repeatedly pushed the Justice Department to investigate unfounded conspiracy theories about the 2020 presidential election. Jimenez was riding the park's carousel with her 8-year-old niece. That's when she noticed the horse in front of her. "My mouth dropped open when I realize it was a Native American head in a saddle bag," said Jimenez of the carousel. The carousel was made in the 1920s.
