A Texas mother who filmed herself posing as her 13-year-old daughter to sneak into her middle school and attend classes for a day, claims she was did the stunt to prove that security was poor.
Casey Garcia, 30, was arrested Friday for criminal trespassing, tampering with government records and an unrelated traffic violation, according to El Paso County Jail records, after a video of her sneaking into her daughter's middle school went viral.
In the video, Garcia can be seen walking into the building, which was later identified as the Garcia-Enriquez Middle School.
Sounds like someone from the school should be the one arrested. How can you trespass when you pay the taxes/bill? It's public property. They don't want you in there so they can do with your kids as they wish.

As a teacher, especially a male, looking at a female student too closely can result in a sexual harassment allegation.
Precisely that is what happened happened to a member of my congregation, and while he beat the charge (he taught middle school social studies) he never regained, entirely, his good reputation.
Separate from that, aren't there movies with this theme?

Yep, without question, every public space needs more surveillance and scrutiny. We cannot rely on culture and the social contract to expect citizens obey the rules and laws willingly. We MUST have an absolute lock-down, lock-tight police state where everyone is ID'ed, patted down, scanned, scrutinized, and surveilled at all times. Then, and only then, can we be truly safe. /S

It's scary but the only reason that we don't have more mass shootings in public schools is that we have a finite number of lunatics in the population. Getting into school buildings is no more difficult than getting into the local shopping mall because they are not very smart about access control. Actually they are not very smart about education either.

What's with this government tampering crap? So this mom goes through the entire school day dressed as a 13 year old, and they only noticed her during the last period? I'll bet she was immediately known by her daughter's friends, but they didn't say anything. One thing is for sure, she's a hell of a lot nicer looking than her daughter.

Was she told to leave the property and then she refused? Was she previously told not to be on the property? If not, there was no trespass.
What records did she tamper with? She was there as a student. What access do students have to records?

No trespass unless she was told to leave and refused. Government records? We've all had substitute teachers: she was a substitute student. Nothing more.

During my 10-year tenure as a school board member, my wife and I opted to open and operate a church-oriented school. I was elected to another term too. Now we are raising the last child. She is 8. She is home-schooled and learning spelling, English, Math, Latin (yes, Latin) and more. I have on my desk a book, hand-written by the 8-yer old), conisting of a dog story running over 100 pages. She uses "spell check" (it is the dictionary). Public School is not cutting it. Such schools were originally offered to American by people who wanted to get rid of Catholic Schools. they succeeded, but I think America lost in the process.
This article illustrates the school's quest for control and the school's thoughtlessness about teaching students to succeed.

Public schools are not heavily secured. There is much talk always anout what “should be.” This woman should be thanked not arrested. We have a big opportunity here, El Paso patriots. There should be swarms of parents, unrelenting calls and emails to the principal and school distratic administration and press conferences to stand up for this woman. ACT
