The Columbus Division of Police released a bodycam video showing Tuesday’s shooting of a young black girl who appeared to be armed with a knife. The video appears to show the girl fighting with another girl as the officer opens fire. The knife can be seen in the girl’s hand as she appears to attempt to stab the girl in pink.

A bill meant to protect drivers who hit protesters during the course of fleeing a riot passed the Oklahoma Senate on Wednesday. House Bill 1674, which passed through the Senate by a vote of 38-10, would increase penalties for blocking roadways while also providing immunity to drivers who kill or injure motorists while fleeing the scene of a riot in fear for their lives, according to the Associated Press. The bill comes in response to an incident in Tulsa, Oklahoma, last year in which a driver in a pickup truck drove through a group of George Floyd protesters blocking an interstate and injured several protesters.

A 47-year-old man suffered a broken jaw in January after being sucker-punched in the face in the Bronx. Police described the attack as a “possible knockout game.” Also in January, Catholic Deacon Frederick Kurr, 74, was sucker-punched as he attempted to swipe his subway card inside a Bronx subway station.
Video footage shows a suspect, who had been standing at an adjacent turnstile, punching Kurr in the face.
The suspect reportedly told Kurr not to call for help, and he also told his victim:

Police received a 911 call at 4:35 p.m. about an attempted stabbing on the 3100 block of Legion Lane. The caller reported a female was trying to stab them, then the caller hung up.

An Illinois man accused of beating his wife was fatally shot by cops as he hit a deputy in the head with a metal pipe, harrowing bodycam video shows.

A pair of doctors at Brigham and Women's Hospital last month outlined a pilot program that, they said, would offer "preferential care" to patients of color. Former Vice President Walter Mondale, one of the architects of Minnesota's liberal tradition, has died, his family announced Monday. He was 93.
