In a Facebook video Senator Scott Jensen (R-Chaska) said that he was notified by the state Board of Medical Practices that he is under investigation for allegedly spreading misinformation regarding death certificates in relation to the COVID-19 pandemic. They also say that he provided reckless advice as a physician by comparing COVID-19 to the flu.

A draft Pentagon policy being circulated US Department of Defense leaders would ban the display of the Confederate flag in Pentagon workplaces or public areas by service members and civilian personnel. The policy, which has not yet been finalized or signed by Defense Secretary Mark Esper, comes as President Donald Trump earlier in the day criticized NASCAR´s decision to ban the flag at its races and venues. The Associated Press obtained a copy of the draft. If approved, the draft Pentagon policy, would bring the other military services in line with the Marine Corps, which banned Confederate displays on its bases in early June.

Last week, a new peer-reviewed study of hydroxychloroquine’s effectiveness at treating the coronavirus was published, and it found that the drug significantly reduced mortality rates.
And by significantly, I mean it literally cut the mortality rate by more than half.
The study also determined that despite previous reports, there were no adverse effects on the heart.

An emergency room nurse heading home from her shift over the weekend was brutally beaten with a cane inside a Bronx subway station in an unprovoked attack, police said Monday. Trump asked in a tweet if 26-year-old Bubba Wallace has “apologized to all of those great NASCAR drivers & officials who came to his aid, stood by his side, & were willing to sacrifice everything for him, only to find out that the whole thing was just another HOAX?”
Trump was referring to findings that what appeared to have been a noose found in Wallace’s garage recently was a pull rope and not meant to intimidate the driver. It was not ruled a hoax, as the president claims.

After years of trying to mine the wealthy around here, and instead hitting themselves in the face, the Seattle City Council has finally fixed on a potent way to tax the rich.
Seattle’s latest corporate tax scheme will almost certainly run into some familiar obstacles, such as a skeptical mayor and a possible legal challenge from big business.

The U.S. Supreme Court ruled on Monday that the 538 people who cast the actual votes for president in December as members of the Electoral College must vote the way the laws of their state direct. The high court ruled unanimously against advocates who were attempting to change the Electoral College and shift the country toward a nationwide popular voting system for the presidency. SCOTUS ruled that presidential electors must vote as their state requires them to, which in most states means voting for the candidate who won the popular vote in the state.

Ghislaine Maxwell is expected to be transferred early this week to the Southern District of New York for her upcoming court appearance, according to a new letter filed by federal prosecutors on Sunday night.
Maxwell, 58, is currently at the Merrimack County Jail, a medium-security facility 20 miles from the luxurious home where she was arrested Thursday in New Hampshire.

The American Academy of Pediatrics has released a needed opinion that is strongly in favor of getting children back to school this fall. It’s just what the nation needs right now in times that seem anything but normal.
“The AAP,” the group’s statement reads, “strongly advocates that all policy considerations for the coming school year should start with a goal of having students physically present in school.“

There is much we don’t understand about the Chinese coronavirus. (snip) Now attention has turned to new cases, suddenly pivoting away from deaths, as the metric of interest. Perhaps because one metric is rising rapidly and the other is flat. Can you guess which is which?
Daily deaths have been declining after peaking in mid-April, and while not zero, have flattened to about 600 per day in the U.S. For comparison, 7,755 people die each day in the U.S. of all causes. He’s back! President Trump’s brilliant Mount Rushmore speech Friday laid out a winning campaign theme to restore national optimism. Of course, his media antagonists fell over themselves to find fault with it.
He presented an antidote to the viciousness that has engulfed America, a declaration of love for this country, warts and all, a reaffirmation of the noble ideals on which it was founded, a vote of confidence in “American greatness” and a call to unity. As cities around the country allow anarchists and Left-wing groups like Black Lives Matter to desecrate and destroy monuments to historical American figures, one town in Ohio is moving in a different direction.
On Saturday, Newton Falls City Manager David Lynch issued a “general amnesty” for historical figures, as well as declaring the town a “statuary sanctuary city.”
