A Massachusetts police detective has been fired after posting a picture on social media of her niece at a Black Lives Matter event holding a sign that suggested protesters should shoot cops. Rookie Springfield Detective Florissa Fuentes, 30, said she was showing pride in her niece's activism at a late May protest in Atlanta. One of the signs being held at the protest read, 'Who do we call when the murderer wear the badge?'

Comments:

I doubt anyone this stupid and clueless could solve a crime.

So a police detective is in favor of people shooting police? Wow, the Massachusetts folks are even crazier than I remember from my last visit.

Why would this woman be proud of her niece? She should have shown some leadership and spoken ti the neice about being emotionally manipulated into mob behavior, about making wise decisions about associates and companions, peer pressure, etc.

You could support your niece by educating her about what murder vs manslaughter is and what happens to a cop who breaks the law. You know the system of justice you swore an oath to support. On second thought, never mind. Some things are beyond your abilities.

I have never heard of a rookie being promoted to detective - a rookie w9ith just a few months of service. collective bargaining agreements usually spell out the promotion process, with routes of appeal if someone is turned down. And just to illustrate how bizarre this promotion was, in Pennsylvania, a rookie Pa state trooper has to ride with an experienced trooper for the first six months of his or her service, before the rookie can go on patrol solo. Civil Service regulations also spell out promotion processes. There is something very very wrong with this woman, her circumstances, and her behavior.

A 1940s-era bus where a 24-year-old adventurer starved to death in the Alaskan wilderness has been removed after tourists died while trying to reach it. A US Army helicopter airlifted the vehicle from the spot just west of the Teklanika River, where it had been left to rust for more than half a century. The bus was made famous by Into The Wild, a book and film that told the story of Chris McCandless' death after he lived inside it for 114 days during the summer of 1992.

The Daily Caller had reporters on the ground in CHAZ, the roughly six-block neighborhood that has been deemed a cop-free zone by activists. The area includes Seattle Police Department’s East Precinct, which was abandoned before a few cops returned and were “assessing the building” Thursday.   Correction*

A Virginia man who was struck by a falling Confederate statue during a protest flatlined twice on the way to the hospital and was placed in a coma, according to his wife. Chris Green, 45, of Portsmouth, was one of the hundreds of Virginians who descended onto the streets Wednesday to protest police brutality and the death of George Floyd, an African-American man who died while in police custody. Protesters rallied at the Confederate monument in Olde Towne Portsmouth after the City Council earlier that night put off decisions on potentially removing the statue. DENVER (AP) — Backers of a proposed initiative to ban abortions at 22 weeks in Colorado have collected enough signatures to put the measure on the November ballot, the secretary of state’s office said Monday. The group behind the initiative, Due Date Too Late, collected 153,204 valid voter signatures, more than the 124,632 signatures required, the secretary’s office said. The proposal on what proponents call late-term abortions would make it illegal for anyone to perform an abortion when a fetus is at 22 weeks of gestation or later.

Former president George W. Bush released a curious statement on Tuesday addressing the riots across the country: It remains a shocking failure that many African Americans, especially young African American men, are harassed and threatened in their own country…. This tragedy, in a long series of similar tragedies, raises a long overdue question: How do we end systemic racism in our society?… The doctrine and habits of racial superiority, which once nearly split our country, still threaten our Union. Bush may have meant well, but his words, being inaccurate, aren’t doing Americans any favors. As Heather Mac Donald wrote recently in City Journal,

On Aug. 1, 1945, 12-year-old Hideko Sudo went to bed fully clothed and full of worry. For days, air raid alerts had left the coastal city of Toyama on edge, prompting her school's closure. More alarmingly, earlier that day, American planes had rained down leaflets warning of an imminent attack. Hideko's fears proved well-founded. Despite a sophisticated alert system and a decade of air defense drills, the arrival just after midnight of a wave of B-29 bombers plunged Toyama into chaos. Superfortresses — 173 of them — encountered only sparse antiaircraft fire as they released around 1,500 tons of incendiaries onto the city's center.

President Trump seems determined to sow confusion and chaos ahead of the 2020 election. Laurence Tribe says the president is trying to make the election ‘look chaotic’ and mentions a ‘fail safe’: President Nancy Pelosi. "There is a procedure -- it's a very elaborate procedure -- in every state for resolving disputes by the date of the so-called safe harbor on December 8th," Tribe explained. "So, really, all of the efforts that Trump is making to both pretend that he can extend the date of the election, which everyone understands he can't do that. That date is set at November 3rd by act of Congress."

How many tens of thousands of Americans must die because of Dr. Fauci’s mistakes? It is becoming more and more apparent with each new day and as more information is accumulated that Dr. Fauci and Dr. Birx, the CDC and the FDA failed in their response to the China Coronavirus. Dr. Fauci and Dr. Birx pushed a completely fraudulent Imperial College study to lockdown and destroy the greatest economy in US history. Dr. Anthony Fauci has made at least 15 critical mistakes and contradictions since the start of the pandemic in March.
