Minneapolis - Every night, Angelina Roslik says she can watch a steady stream of cars pass in front of her home on a dead-end street overlooking Powderhorn Park in south Minneapolis. The cars — backing in and out, pulling up next to each other, or idling for long stretches at a time — are a new presence here, she says. Roslik believes they’re symptomatic of an uptick in open drug use and sex trafficking — something she says is tied to an encampment of people who started gathering in the park last month. “If you sit here long enough, you’ll start

Liberals think they can have their cake and eat it too. They think they can elect liberals to run the city and not have to pay the price. They are getting exactly what they voted for.

FTA: “I recognize that, yes, some officials have their plates full at this time,” she said, “but at the same time, it’s their job to address it.”
No, it is YOUR job to address it.
Vote intelligently for officials that can show leadership and really address issues.
Liberals always think it is someone else's job to make them happy.

Boy it sure was a great idea u till it was enacted in their Hood. Pregressives, meet reality. Next time you dream up Utopia, make sure it is constructed in someone elses' Hood. Oh, seems the police got the message you don't ant them there. The did a nice Sgt. Schultz. I see nothing!

When I go to my neighborhood park I feed a half dozen squirrels, and on occasion chat with my neighbors. I do not see any tents claiming to be residents and if I did, the constables would be on them. You get what you are able to tolerate. I am tolerant of our homeless population but there is plenty of free ground outside of my city. May not be a liquor store within 20 miles or a grocery store but that's your problem, not mine.
Powderhorn ... if you don't want 400 tents full of prostitutes and meth dealers in your local park ... do something about it.

Keep voting for the same liberal/progressive candidates, and I'm sure they'll fix it in short order. s/

What is it about people in Minnesota? They let a beautiful city become trash and they cannot even stand up for themselves. Nice but really stupid folks.

Perhaps those social workers can go eliminate the root causes of poverty and restore social and economic justice to the oppressed.
Or they could just create a big bureaucracy that enables bums and addicts to avoid making hard choices to fix their own lives.
After all, clean needles and fresh sleeping bags won’t cause the problem to grow, right? Right?

Liberal NIMBY whiners. Wait until the weather changes in November. The park will empty and they will be breaking into your house for a warm bed, a hot cup of cocoa and a hug.

By setting up the camp the city is denying most people like Angelina the right to use the public park. Sue the city for the back taxes would be a start.

"Manage" in this case should mean shut down and dismantle. Many of these people enjoy the homeless life, off the grid, no bills, no address, no limits. They are much like the hobos of the early 1900s only there are many more of them and taxpayers are gouged for their care in one way or the other.

'They want encampment residents to have stable housing and access to the services they need. '
Soooo, if all the people in the community each offer housing to a few individuals, the problem will be solved. Put your money where your heart is.

Maybe they should cast up some lead balls, put some powder from their powderhorns in their flintlocks, ram a ball on top of it, and take care of their problems themselves.

I would bet any amount of money that Angelina - and her dopey comrades - would blame this on Trump.
Liberals are the most breathtakingly stupid people on the face of the earth.

Why has the city allowed that park to keep such a violent name? Surely they should change it to something soothing - how about Unicorn Park?

More than 400 tents are now in the park. Police-hating liberals are now enjoying loud music, non-stop traffic, and moans, and groans all night long.
