Five questions for Ghislaine Maxwell

1. Why now? Maxwell was arrested at her remote estate in Bedford, New Hampshire eleven months after Jeffrey Epstein’s death in a New York police cell. The house was purchased for $1 million in cash through a shell company in December 2019. In the same month, Reuters reported that Maxwell was a target in the FBI’s investigation of people who ‘facilitated’ Epstein’s sexual crimes. Meanwhile, her location became the subject of international speculation. It now appears that the FBI knew exactly where she was. On Thursday, the FBI’s New York Assistant Director, William Sweeney admitted that ‘an eye was being kept and information was being collected’ for months:

Very very interesting. Furthermore, the questions and speculation re Epstein add fuel to the speculation that his suicide was framed.

Oh that's all we need, our highly ethical FBI in possession of both Maxwell and all the blackmail information that she and Epstein have gathered! IF all these politicians, CEOs and entertainers get exposed, I really don't care about the process. But if it gets buried (along with Epstein and Maxwell), we are living in an evil beyond our imagination.

I hope that President Trump has put the right people in charge of protecting Maxwell, instead of leaving her to the clutches of corrupt people in the FBI, or state authorities. There are bound to be enough honest, ethical FBI agents, Federal Marshalls, or other federal authorities to protect her. What would scare and panic the people on her list more than not knowing where she was being held? Someplace where they could not get to her? Maybe GITMO, protected by the military.

In order to receive a US passport a person must be a US Citizen. In order to also have British and French passport a person must also be a citizen of those countries. These days people who hold multiple passports are considered to be duel-citizens or nationals. There are no provisions in the US immigration and nationality laws allowing duel-citizenship or nationality status. Because of that, a foreign origin person with multiple passports, anytime they reenter the USA, must utilize and show a US Passport thus claiming to be a US citizen, since US citizens are exempt from the US immigration laws. So many foreign origin people who retain the citizenship of their home countries when they apply for and go through the naturalization process to become a US citizen, obtain a US passport as that important convenience when they enter and leave the USA, and then once outside the USA when they travel from foreign country to foreign country use their home country passport, especially in countries where there is a lot of terrorism, where the government is adversarial to the USA, or where those people who for any reason not to want to disclose that they also hold US citizenship. Most native born Americans don’t have a clue any of that.

Last sentence of #6 is indeed scary. I do hope honest ethical people get to the bottom of this. Right now I see only three people wearing stripes: Bill Clinton, Alan Dershowitz and Prince Andrew. There are hundreds more guilty parties. Ghislaine Maxwell and Hillary Clinton are aiders and abettors.

Another day, another scapegoat. Or two. For months, Gov. Andrew Cuomo has been desperate to find somebody, anybody, to blame for the nursing-home carnage he helped to cause. The list of those he blamed was blasphemous — it started with God. It was ludicrous when he later aimed at President Trump and The Post. His latest bid is simply scandalous. Cuomo has the nerve to blame grieving family members and heroic nursing-home staffers, charging they were the ones who infected and killed as many 12,000 elderly and helpless residents.

Amy Cooper, now better known to the world as the “Central Park Karen,” appears to have even more trouble coming her way. After becoming a national symbol of… something, Cooper was widely derided for her reaction to a Black man who was reportedly in the park doing some bird watching after he asked her to put her dog on its leash. She went viral for all the wrong reasons and was promptly targeted for cancellation by the left. But her problems aren’t over yet. Since one part of her response involved calling 911 on the birdwatcher, the Manhattan DA is filing charges against her for abusing the emergency reporting system

Washington- Many Americans, after they have been in Washington, D.C., for a few years, become less fervent about their beliefs. Donald Trump has become more fervent about the things he believes. After this past weekend and Donald’s solemnly expressed indignation about the shredding of our shared values and beliefs he is being excoriated by the media — the Los Angeles Times, the New York Times, the Washington Post — for being divisive, racist, and provocative. For some reason Americans both on the left and the right have taken a pass on defending American values and beliefs. Donald Trump is not taking a pass. He is indignant.

Independence Day weekend marked another bloody weekend in Chicago, with at least 67 people shot – 18 fatally, including four children – as high homicide rates continue to blight the Windy City. The week prior, five children were caught in the crossfire, in which three died. And over Memorial Day weekend, Chicago endured its bloodiest day in over six decades — 18 people were killed and 45 wounded in a 24-hour period. According to statistics issued by the Chicago Police Department last week, shootings and murders jumped 75 percent in June compared to the same time in 2019, with 425 shootings this year compared to 242 last June. Our cultural institutions are facing a moment of trial. Powerful protests for racial and social justice are leading to overdue demands for police reform, along with wider calls for greater equality and inclusion across our society, not least in higher education, journalism, philanthropy, and the arts. But this needed reckoning has also intensified a new set of moral attitudes and political commitments that tend to weaken our norms of open debate and toleration of differences in favor of ideological conformity. As we applaud the first development, we also raise our voices against the second.

Would you be shocked to learn that a big hunk of the citizenry is absolutely convinced that Donald Trump will not only be re-elected but re-elected in a landslide? It’s true, and it’s not an ironic or performative belief, but rather one drawn from a perspective that the mainstream media utterly ignores. This means you probably have no idea it even exists, and that could lead to an unpleasant surprise in November. Well, unpleasant for you. Remember that apocryphal anecdote about how Pauline Kael moaned that she did not know anyone voting for Dick Nixon? If you’re here, then that’s very likely you.

Reading today’s national media is like staring down a bottomless pit. Le vertige des grandes profondeurs, the French call is. The vertigo from looking down a deep hole. And just when you thought we had reached bottom, there’s deeper level to the madness. It seems incomprehensible, and yet there’s a simple explanation. America is being held hostage. We began by re-fighting the Civil War. Until recently we had left that behind us, and non-racist white southerners were permitted to retain some measure of dignity, in the memory of their battlefield heroes. But it was never about the Confederate statues, and the proof is that we quickly moved

Let us pause for a moment and consider the Primary Model, a political forecasting method which predicts the ultimate outcome of White House races on voting patterns from presidential primaries. The model has a laudable track record. Established in 1996 by Stony Brook University political science professor Helmut Norpoth, the Primary Model correctly picked the victors in multiple presidential elections — including the last one. On March 7, 2016, it predicted then-candidate Donald Trump had an 87% chance of defeating Hillary Clinton. Will the president also vanquish Democratic nominee Joseph R. Biden?
