Rushmore was Trump at his best

Original Article

He’s back! President Trump’s brilliant Mount Rushmore speech Friday laid out a winning campaign theme to restore national optimism. Of course, his media antagonists fell over themselves to find fault with it. He presented an antidote to the viciousness that has engulfed America, a declaration of love for this country, warts and all, a reaffirmation of the noble ideals on which it was founded, a vote of confidence in “American greatness” and a call to unity. Beneath the granite faces carved into the Black Hills of South Dakota, he spoke of building up the country, not tearing it down.

President Donald Trump the Great is the best communicator we have seen in our lifetimes. The Communist-Democrats have it coming. Traitors to their own Nation.

It was a good, uplifting speech. It made one feel good about being American. I hope he makes more like it. As to being a great communicator, I'll admit he has improved a great deal, but he still has a long way to go to eclipse Reagan. If Reagan ordered a hamburger it made you want to jump up and wave a flag, then join the Marines.

The coming Biden coup 9 replies

It is more than a possibility, and slightly less than a likelihood, that Joe Biden will be elected president in November. Biden has made it clear that a woman will be his running mate. What is becoming equally apparent is that he may be cornered into choosing a socialist or progressive as that person. As he runs his campaign from his basement, allowing President Trump to stomp his feet and shout as he tries to mount a more traditional campaign, Biden has shown little inclination to take on his own foot-stomping base.

America will be running on a little less Dunkin'. The major coffee and doughnut chain announced it will be permanently closing 450 stores by the end of 2020. Though the locations that will be closing are all reportedly located inside Speedway gas stations, and not free-standing cafes. The big news comes as part of termination of the coffee shop's partnership with Hess, owner of Speedway gas stations, Today Food reported. A representative for Dunkin' did not immediately respond to a request for comment from Fox News, but told Today Food in a statement that the brand is closing the Speedway Dunkin' cafes in order to focus on the chain's independent locations.
So, Kaepernick Lied 11 replies

Back in our cheery, prelapsarian days—2016, to be exact—a young and photogenic NFL quarterback named Colin Kaepernick chose to express his patriotism by kneeling whenever the National Anthem was played before football games. He kneeled, you see, merely to protest police mistreatment of African Americans. And we knew that Kaepernick actually loved America because he told us so. “I’m not anti-America,” he said. “I love America…. I think having these conversations helps everybody have a better understanding of where everybody is coming from.” And everyone bought it.

Sen. Tammy Duckworth (D-Ill.) criticized President Trump’s 4th of July speech at Mount Rushmore for focusing on the accomplishments of historical figures. “He spent all of his time talking about dead traitors,” Duckworth, a potential Biden vice president pick, told CNN in an interview. In his speech, President Trump listed numerous historical figures and celebrities who played a large role in American history. Among those listed were the founding fathers, the presidents of Mount Rushmore, Fredwrick Douglass, Ulysses S. Grant, Martin Luther King, Harriet Tubman, and Elvis Presley.

Philonise Floyd testified recently to the House Judiciary Committee about the death of his brother George Floyd at the hands of Minneapolis police. “People of all backgrounds, genders and race have come together to demand change,” Floyd said. Pleading for comprehensive policing reform, Floyd asked Congress to “teach them what it means to treat people with empathy and respect. Teach them what necessary force is. Teach them that deadly force should be used rarely and only when life is at risk.” Unfortunately, Philonise Floyd’s earnest call for reform has been drowned out by an elite-driven narrative about race relations that is empirically weak, counterproductive, and not reflective

The current rage for tearing down statues and renaming things has reached a sort of reductio ad absurdum: the city of Columbus, Ohio has removed the statue of Christopher Columbus from in front of its City Hall. The Wall Street Journal reports: The city of Columbus, Ohio, this week unceremoniously evicted a 16-foot bronze statue . . . of Christopher Columbus. “For many people in our community, the statue represents patriarchy, oppression and divisiveness,” said Mayor Andrew Ginther, giving the removal order two weeks ago. “That does not represent our great city.”

Videos of the event show a spectacular light with green and purplish hues flying across the sky for just a few seconds at around 2:30 a.m. local time, before the light fizzles out. "I thought a person living (in the condo) above knocked down a shelf," one local said, according to the Japan Times.

Justin Haskins, executive editor and a research fellow at The Heartland Institute and the editor in chief of StoppingSocialism.com wrote this past week that “while most Americans have been preoccupied with protests and pandemics, a potentially bigger story has managed to slip beneath the radar.” How so? Well, while the economic and political chaos caused by the COVID-19 outbreak and the social unrest of the Black Lives Matter protests dominates the news, Al Gore, the U.N. secretary-general and a cadre of other elitists, who fancy themselves our superiors, have gathered together at the World Economic Forum (WEC) to call for a “Great Reset”

Senator Tammy Duckworth says that, during his address at Mount Rushmore on Friday, President Trump “spent all his time talking about dead traitors.” This is a flat-out lie. It is entirely untrue. It is invented from whole cloth. You can read the speech here and see for yourself. One doesn’t have to like President Trump — or to have enjoyed his speech — in order to acknowledge that Duckworth is lying. One needs only to read what was said. Trump’s two references to the Civil War came in passages praising Lincoln and condemning slavery.

Truscott IV says his ancestor’s former estate at Monticello is enough of a tribute and that the Jefferson Memorial, located next to the Tidal Basin in the nation’s capital, should be replaced with a statue honoring the abolitionist hero Harriet Tubman. “The memorial is a shrine to a man who during his lifetime owned more than 600 slaves and had at least six children with one of them, Sally
