A body found in a stairwell at the Bedford Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Massachusetts is a veteran who lived at the facility and disappeared more than a month ago.
The victim was a 62-year-old former homeless veteran who was reported missing May 13 — five days after he was last seen. His name wasn’t released.
“It appears that he’s been there from the eighth of May,” Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan said, according to WBZ-TV.

Orlando, Fla.—A woman without a ticket or government-issued ID walked past a Transportation Security Administration agent and entered a terminal at Orlando International Airport in October by blending in with a group of people, a report said. These past couple of weeks have been some of the saddest I’ve seen in my lifetime as an African-American. It began with the tragic, needless, death of George Floyd, but then quickly escalated into some of the most vicious, violent rioting our country has seen in decades.

A newly declassified intelligence document underscores the FBI’s absolute commitment to the discredited Christopher Steele dossier even to the point of providing the CIA its most damaging allegations against then-President-elect Trump. The document is Annex A to the 2016 Intelligence Community Assessment (ICA) on Russia’s interference in the 2016 presidential election.

Former NYPD officer and Secret Service agent Dan Bongino lamented the deadly use of force by Atlanta police officers on Friday but noted they were only presented with “a bad and worse option.”
According to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI), police responded to a complaint about a male “parked in the drive thru” at a Wendy’s “asleep, causing other customers to drive around the vehicle.” The report said police had the man perform a field sobriety test, which he did not pass.

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (AP) — Trump supporters in Florida were celebrating the president’s birthday Sunday with caravans, flotillas and parades throughout his adopted homestate.
In Palm Beach County — home of President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort — separate caravans of trucks, motorcycles and boats were riding along highways and the intercoastal waterway at various times in the morning. The organizers were part of the president’s Florida re-election effort.
The Palm Beach Post reports that an anti-Trump caravan also was riding through the county Sunday to protest racism and call for police reforms.

President Trump gave an inspirational speech at West Point on Saturday, pitched at the Class of 2020, which will carry the burden of seeing the country through this turning point in its history. Not that you would know much about the speech because the usual suspects — including formerly respected military leaders — decided yet again to rain on the president’s parade, drowning out a unifying message with their latest creative iteration of Trump Derangement Syndrome. For them, no crisis is so serious that it can’t be grafted onto their psycho-narrative that Bad Orange Man is to blame for everything that has ever gone wrong in America.
Finally, someone had the courage to say it out loud – racism is bad, and we are truly blessed that our celebrities, corporations, and politicians are willing to say so no matter what the cost.

A veteran pollster has some clear numbers suggesting President Trump will be reelected, despite economic uneasiness, public unrest, media hostility and the coronavirus pandemic. It may not be a blockbuster win, but it is a win nonetheless over Democratic hopeful Joseph R. Biden.
“Overall, a slim majority (51%) of likely voters thought, regardless of their political support, that President Trump would win reelection over Democratic nominee Joe Biden (43%), while 6% thought someone else would win the 2020 Presidential Election,” reports John Zogby in a new poll of 1,007 likely voters conducted June 1-2.
He is one of the few pollsters who breaks down voter preference into some very distinctive demographics.
Joe Biden might be the luckiest person in politics. Despite endless gaffes and awkward encounters, he became the Democratic nominee following several candidates dropping out and the implosion of the Bernie Sanders campaign. Biden had another major boost with the coronavirus lockdown. Stuck at home, some of his worst qualities, including degraded language skills, a tendency to pick fights with his supporters, and his dubious track record, became hidden from the public. However, with restrictions being lifted across many states, his weakness will be laid bare.

A number of polls have found more intensity on the GOP side, but what makes me think of this question is (via InstaPundit) this headline: Trump campaign says ticket requests for Oklahoma rally surpass 800,000. That’s enthusiasm!
Then there is the fact that, even though there was no race on the Republican side, primary vote totals for President Trump often exceeded the combined totals for all Democratic presidential candidates, and easily surpassed the numbers cast for President Obama in 2012. Are you ready for the second blame wave? As the country braces itself for an inevitable repeat surge in COVID-19 infections, we’re told red-state governors ‘opened too soon’. The next outbreak, we can be sure, will be something to do with the fact the President decided to resume his political rallies, approximately two weeks from now.
What nobody says is that individual or social behavior is the cause. It can’t possibly be the thousands of people closely together marching down city streets yelling and chanting, some with masks, some not. The guidelines fell completely by the wayside for the Democrats and much of network cable news.
Three cities, all supremely liberal, represent an American descent into anarchy against which no one is standing.
After New York Mayor Bill de Blasio said he wanted to slash the police budget, the New York City Council is going about cutting $1 billion from that budget, about 16%. That will inevitably cause a reduction of police presence around the city and, with equal inevitability, result in an increase in crime. In Minneapolis, where George Floyd was killed in police custody on May 25, the city council plans to disband its police force entirely. On Friday, the city council voted to replace the police with a “community-led public safety system.”
The killing of George Floyd rightly horrified Americans. The ensuing protests united us around police accountability. But no sooner had people lined up to agree with the premise that bad police officers should be punished, and racism within organizations rooted out, than the movement put forth a demand to defund the police.
It’s utterly bonkers.
Anyone who imagines “defund the police” doesn’t actually mean defund the police should watch the viral video featuring Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey confronted on the issue by protest leaders.
Ukrainian officials on Saturday announced they intercepted a $6 million bribe attempt to stop a criminal investigation into the president of Burisma, the natural-gas company at the center of President Trump’s impeachment investigation.

A Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation officer was found shot to death Sunday morning and three suspects are now in custody, investigators say.
Julian Keen Jr, 30, was off-duty at the time of shooting, Fox 13 reported.
Sheriff’s deputies responded to the scene early Sunday morning in LaBelle – about 55 miles northeast of Cape Coral -- and found Keen, the Hendry County Sheriff’s office said.
The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office wrote on Twitter that Keen was killed while “taking action off-duty on a hit and run crash.”
Three suspects were in custody and under investigation. No additional information was provided.
