Zogby Poll: Trump's gonna win in 2020

Original Article

A veteran pollster has some clear numbers suggesting President Trump will be reelected, despite economic uneasiness, public unrest, media hostility and the coronavirus pandemic. It may not be a blockbuster win, but it is a win nonetheless over Democratic hopeful Joseph R. Biden. “Overall, a slim majority (51%) of likely voters thought, regardless of their political support, that President Trump would win reelection over Democratic nominee Joe Biden (43%), while 6% thought someone else would win the 2020 Presidential Election,” reports John Zogby in a new poll of 1,007 likely voters conducted June 1-2. He is one of the few pollsters who breaks down voter preference into some very distinctive demographics.

I am the one that posted that there were no Biden signs in the area where I live. I have seen 5 or 6 Biden signs that have sprouted up in the past week. In my home town, the three that I have seen belong to; 1. The town drug addled crazy lady, 2. 61 year old man who works only sporadically and still lives with his nearly 90 year old mother, 3. A public school teacher.

How many Biden tickets have been requested for HIS rally in the basement. I am SO looking forward to this Saturday's Trump Rally. A semblance of normalcy and stability and a taste of what REAL Americans are hungering for! Trump 2020!

All I am hearing in this formerly Republican part of Ct. is that Trump will lose, and that we will not only lose the Senate but not regain the House, because so many women, some Republican, and Independents can't see the forrest for the trees.......formerly Republican towns in the only Republican part of this state are now turning Democratic. And this is because they are so turned off by Trump's boasting and clobbering back Tweets. It makes no intellectual sense, but there it is. So even if Trump DOES win, he will have no coattails, and that will very much impede anything he can do. Terrifying but true. (Plus we have the very present anti Media AND voter fraud.)

I’ve seen the same lack in my own experience. Could it be that Americans aren’t that keen on electing the first senile president? Meanwhile compare the headline two below this in the Must Reads. 800,000 sign up for a Trump rally. If Joe could get one tenth that number he wouldn’t be staying in the basement.

Take nothing for granted. Work like he is 10 points behind. This is by far the most important election in the history of this country. It will determine if we continue as a Representative Republic or go full bore socialist. We cannot lose this one. The result would be a living nightmare. Imagine the CHAZ coming to your city with the government’s approval and support. Oh, my stars, no!

I always find it interesting that "moderates" and "independents" are stronger for Biden. I think that a lot of this group is very risk and confrontation averse and is greatly impacted by the TONE of current events instead of the MEANING. So Uncle Joe, while muddling meaning and carrying lots of nasty baggage, is always is grinning and glad handing. The media plays up this "comfy" feeling for Biden and projects Trump as chaotic and combative. The fact that Trump is combative to a relentlessly nasty media is, of course, never mentioned. The question is, how much are "moderates" actually content free and only interested in "feeling good" about a candidate. A lot may have to do with the public's perception of the nature of events. Something like the coronavirus is perceived something "naturally occurring" that must be managed. Trump has won that battle. So too the economic slide. There was no choice but to be "safe" (safety is important to moderates) and to deal with the economic repercussions. There were quick government band aids applied. Another perception around the riots is that such violence is NEVER ok for the risk averse. The Left is losing the optics on this with "independents". Another perception working against dems is the Leftward slide toward Socialism. This type of major change would imperil savings and pensions the "moderates" have struggled to build and need for retirement. Trump appeals to established order by referring to established law. Notice that a lot of what Trump has done is returning to laws as they have existed. For example, Trump's immigration actions are largely based on existing laws, not something new. That applies to a lot of Trump's other "initiatives" that are mostly a pullback from progressive incursions under BO. Returning to the established has an appeal to "moderates". Overall, what the dems/Left/media is doing may roil some of their base but it is disconcerting to the mushy middle. Some of them may also appreciate Trump's focus on original principles and patriotism. We will see how much in November.

Yeah.......and everybody just knew that Hillary was going to win in a landslide. I dont trust the polls. I dont trust the pollsters. I dont trust the people paying for them. Todays polls arent taken to guage opinion but to shape them. Polls that show disaproval of liberal positions are ignored. Heavily weighted polls that favor liberal positions are touted as gospel.

It's hard to believe any of the Polls. We all know it all depends on WHO they polls. If they poll 20% more Democrats than Republicans, yes, they will get a huge Biden win. But if they poll Republicans and Democrats equally, I'm betting Trump wins handily (unfortunately, I have't seen a fair poll yet)! That said, I tend to watch what is going on in the Country to determine Trump's chances of re-election. 800,000 people asking for tickets to the Tulsa Rally seems out of sight! Yes, I would guess there are a lot of Democrats in that number who thought it cute to see if they can get a Ticket. I think each and every person asking for a Ticket will have a Background Check. It will come out pretty fast if they have a Democrat Background! So that request goes in the Garbage can! Also, anyone with any smarts at all can see that Biden has Dementia. Most folks have known someone in their family or of a friend who has had it. Once he's forced to come out of his "Sanctuary Basement" his gaffs will be front and center every time he speaks. He can't help it, it's where he is in his life! I feel sorry for him. Shame on those who are propping him up and letting the world laugh at a man who can't control what his mouth says! That will sway the Independents to vote for Trump! I have every faith that will see him re-elected in November!

I agree and disagree. Trump will win, but it is not going to be close. If it is close, hello President Joe!. The pattern of Presidential election since the Reagan landslide has been fixed. Forty odd states firmly in their respective camp. Seven or eight battle grounds. Whoever is wins is elected by a 52/48 margin. I have a gut feeling that a tectonic change is underway and this time that mold will be broken.

Zogby is a leftist so if he honestly gets these results Sticky Fingers is in big trouble. The only way that the demonrats can win is massive voter fraud, so we have to be legally prepared for that. As to leftists wanting tickets to next weekend’s rally - how many of these snowflakes will be willing to stand in line for 48 hours to get in? Especially when surrounded by thousands of happy, enthusiastic, patriotic Trump supporters. It would be like vampires trying to endure the sun.

Being well-versed in details can be a burden. The superficial people in this world have one counterintuitive advantage: they base their opinions on scant information. But this myopia can and does still dictate their decisions and actions. In 2016 despite all the hype about carrying on with Obama's legacy (whatever it was supposed to be that week) and the first woman president, superficial voters saw a bloated hag. More to the point, they rarely saw her since she was flat on her back in an incognito ambulance having seizures. And then, one day, one of the seizures was witnessed publicly. The media and DNC tried to brazen it out and declare that their 'historic' candidate's weeks-long absences from the campaign trail were planned, normal, inconsequential etc. Now the DNC has a nearly-incapacitated candidate who makes Hillary look like Babe Didrikson. And, once again, they are trying to wage a campaign without a candidate. It didn't work in 2016 and it won't work now.

FTA: "'Independent voters (Biden 45%/Trump 42%) were slightly more upbeat that Joe Biden would win, no matter their political support, as were moderates (Biden 51%/42% Trump),' said Mr. Zogby." Although this is not a preference poll, this is the number that is being watched closely by backers of a certain Utah senator, who may jump into the fray as an independent "moderate conservative" candidate. Why does one think he voted guilty for an impeachment article and has made recent spectacle of his opposition to the President? To impress his fellow Utahans? Can't win? Never know...especially if crazy things happen in the Electoral College and/or this election falls to the UNIPARTY House. We have had three-plus years of Dump Trump. The Dems got no one capable in an election, and their party is becoming radicalized by The Squad and others while the old timers lose their grip. The UNIPARTY coalition must be preserved. I expect months more of "crisis", whatever they may be, and a close watch on the "center" poll numbers. If things fall right, after the conventions, out of the West will come sweeping that handsome, white-hatted savior of our nation...to reluctantly unite us all as Americans. And, if the numbers don't coalesce, no harm done to the Republican Presidential Candidate of 2012 with the gleaming smile.

The simple fact is that if one goes out in public wearing or displaying Trump support, you just may get chased, attacked and threatened verbally and physically and, possibly, much worse. If you show support for Democrats, chances are good nothing will happen to you other than perhaps a few glares of disapproval and disdain. I'm thankful the election's almost here. Millions of us out here have been quietly seething and questioning 'what is happening to our beloved America' that so many have fought and died for? A Democrat victory will bring us more chaos and discord, 'autocratic rule' and danger from around the globe. The Democrats have demonstrated irrationality and disdain for America, and I don't hear any prominent Democrat speaking out against it.

I don't think that anyone thinks Biden can ACT as President, but that means someone like Warren or Harris will very very soon run the Country, or more likely, someone who is a figurehead will be run by any number of unelected shadow figures and beat us into the ground. Biden will be a figurehead, or his VP will be a figurehead, and we really WILL have a shadow government.

Trust the Las Vegas odds makers. Putting money in the place that the mouth is. A loss would be apocalyptic but we need more than just a win. We need the House; a filibuster-proof Senate would also be very nice. And then . . . more originalists at SCOTUS. We are surrounded by lunatics and need some generation-long insulation against their craziness. And no, there are no Biden signs around these parts.

What is needed is NOT a "51%" win. There WILL be voter fraud at historic levels. The theft of this upcoming election is the Democrat priority. They KNOW that "Uncle Joe" is weak. Expect them to throw everything and then some at this President. When schools come back in session in the Fall, EXPECT the violence we've seen in the past. What is needed is a decisive victory, and for the adults to take back the House as well. Or we'll face four more years of "shiny objects" being thrown in the way of American progress.

Thing is, no one believes that Biden would restore the good economy, or restore the social order. The democrats don't believe it either, but they don't want those things. What they want is: Socialism, oppression of capitalism and conservatism, and dependence on a big, bureaucratic central government. Oh yes, no police and no monuments to anyone, except maybe Lenin, Mussolini, or even Hitler (The NAZI and communist parties exist in America.)

I imagine polling is very hard nowadays. My household no longer has a landline. Unless they have our cell phone numbers or Skype number, they will not be polling me. If found, I doubt I would be truthful. Over the weekend, thugs were setting fire to flags on homes near me. Who knows who is asking questions? However, if I were to explore political polling in my seasoned citizen years, considering all the stories already existing about likely rampant mail-in voting fraud, my first question would be: How many times do you plan to vote this year?

And if Trump wins what makes anyone think the left will accept the results and patiently wait four years for another chance to get their candidate in? You think the military, commanded by generals who have shown their disdain for Trump, will move to put down any insurrection that the left incites? Will police departments, demoralized, defunded and despised by their civilian bosses, rush to enforce order and suppress riots and violence started as a "protest" to Trump being reelected? Will the GOP rally to him in the face of the leftist onslaught to unseat him? Current events suggest strongly that not only will none of these march to defend against an insurrection but might join in with it.

Seven people, all from different households, not only gathered for Thanksgiving but distributed to the media pictorial evidence of them flouting mask mandates and social distancing edicts. No governor yet claims jurisdiction over the International Space Station but the astronauts have a lot of explaining to do when they return to earth. It’s not as though they lacked for space. Governors ordering around people 250 miles above their states seems far-fetched. But so, too, did the notion of governors usurping the role of legislatures. Eight months after the initial coronavirus lockdowns, citizens docilely accept the idea of a single person dictating the laws that govern millions of people.

The practice of democracy in our constitutional republic flourishes in the presence of contradictions. Democracy, itself, is bound by our inalienable rights, bestowed to us by our Creator. These rights, not given to us by our government by any majority or by any vote, cannot be rescinded, for they were not wrought by man. Voting is a contradiction for it is both public and private at the same time. Its process is intended to be secret, but transparent. Its agency is intensely partisan, but its effect is intended to be unifying. The legitimacy of voting must survive despite the contradictions intrinsic to the process.

Will Judge Emmett Sullivan accept President Trump’s pardon of General Michael Flynn? No one has suggested that possibility, other than The New York Sun. The general’s case, though, has become a bonfire of the vanities of one district judge who has denied the presumption of regularity to an official act of the United States government — meaning Attorney General William Barr’s attempt to drop the case. So why would Judge Sullivan credit President Trump’s workaround of a pardon? We understand, the pardon could be the least fettered of all the powers that the Constitution grants to the president.

Many conservatives have moved their social-media accounts to the more freewheeling Parler, and often have slammed the supposedly monopolistic Facebook and Twitter as they’ve decamped from those sites. I have chuckled at some of their overheated parting rhetoric — especially the widespread misunderstanding about the meaning of the word “monopoly.” A monopoly is, as the Oxford dictionary explains, “the exclusive possession or control of the supply of or trade in a commodity or service.” Quite obviously, if one stops doing business with a company and heads over to its competitor, then the previous company is not by definition in exclusive possession or control of a service.

Nancy Pelosi’s top priority is to turn America into a one-party nation ruled by Democrats. Her bill HR 1 trashes the U.S. Constitution in an attempt to rig the system and make it virtually impossible to elect a Republican president or Congress again. It’s a power grab. The bill eviscerates state voting laws and forces all the states to conform to a set of rules that includes automatic voter registration. Anyone who goes to a DMV or applies for food stamps, Medicaid or other social services, or attends a public college will be automatically enrolled to vote. Noncitizens are obligated to identify themselves and opt out,

The Royal Family was left reeling this morning after Meghan Markle tearfully revealed that the stress of royal life made her suicidal when she was five months pregnant, claimed Archie was denied the title of prince because he is mixed-race and said Kate Middleton made her cry before she married Harry in a bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey. The couple also chose to reveal that they are having a baby girl to the tens of millions of people watching the CBS show broadcast in the US before accusing the Royal Family of racism and revealing the deep rift 'Megxit' has caused with Prince Charles and Prince William.

I’m probably second to none in my dislike for Meghan Markle. There’s something unattractive about a mature woman marrying into the British Royal family with one of the world’s most expensive weddings, hanging out with the Queen, living in insane luxury…and then whining non-stop about the horror of her life. There’s something even less appealing when that woman accuses the Royal family of race hatred. And the problem is that, when it comes to that left-wing diva, Meghan Markle, it’s hard to believe most of what she says. After weeks of hype, CBS finally televised Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s interview with Oprah.

Without question, the vast majority of Americans who support former President Donald Trump were angry and frustrated throughout 2020 passed with barely a mention of then-U.S. Attorney John Durham’s criminal investigation into the FBI’s fraudulent “Russiagate” counterterrorism operation directed at his 2016 campaign. In the weeks before the November election, word got out that then-Attorney General William Barr wasn’t going to announce any indictments or even a report on Durham’s investigation because he did not want to influence the outcome. So far, in fact, the only indictment to come out of the Durham probe is that of former FBI lawyer Kevin Clinesmith, who essentially got a slap on the wrist

Rep. Steve Cohen vowed to renew the push to remove former FBI Director J. Edgar Hoover’s name from the bureau’s downtown Washington headquarters, according to an interview released Monday. Appearing on Yahoo! News’ Skullduggery podcast, the Tennessee Democrat said the effort is getting a fresh look after the release of a new movie highlighting the FBI’s secret program to discredit civil rights activists. The Washington Times in 2019 first reported Democrats’ bid to strip the longtime FBI director’s name from the bureau’s headquarters. Mr. Cohen said the impetus to revive the bid is the new movie, “Judas and the Black Messiah.” The movie details

“There must have been a moment, at the beginning, when we could have said –-no. But somehow we missed it.” Tom Stoppard The millions of Americans who were paying attention throughout the 2020 election campaign all became painfully aware of the fact that Joe Biden’s cognitive abilities were slipping and slipping fast. His wife, as the person closest to him, should have been the one to call the campaign quits in order to reduce stress on the man. Instead, apparently so anxious to become the First Lady by any means necessary, Mrs. Biden continued to push her failing husband’s campaign forward as if he were mentally qualified.
